Hello and welcome to this meditation with me Jan Russell.

In this meditative re-patterning practice you can begin to gently make changes in the deep structure of your mind which enable you to clear the way for the process of reprogramming that you want.

This is best done in a relaxed and comfortable position in a place where you can be undisturbed.

So take a little time to make sure that you're as supported as you can be,

Relaxing your shoulders,

Your face,

Your tongue,

Taking one or two deep breaths and exhaling fully and then trusting yourself to breathe normally and comfortably and allowing your physical body to take care of you,

Accepting that you will create the flow that you need right now.

As you become a little more relaxed I'd like you now to bring to your mind a time in which you felt very positive,

Where you know that it was within your gift to say either yes or no.

A time when you could make good aligned choices,

A time where you feel that you knew that you can have or do whatever you choose for yourself in alignment with your uniqueness and the person who you are.

Now begin to create for yourself the experience of being in that positive state here from the inside out in your mind and your body,

Noticing any sensation that you associate with that state.

Notice any sounds that you hear here in this space and whether there are any words that you say to yourself and if there are be aware of their power and the tone of your voice and if there are not enjoy the silence and the calm.

Notice what you see as you look out from your inside to all that surrounds you outside and feel the energy of your state coursing through your vein and your neurology so that you feel strong and centered.

As you continue to intensify the experience of this positive state make a fist with your right hand and create a symbol or representation of the state experience as if you're holding it within or encompassing it or encompassing it and notice shape,

Color,

Size,

Texture,

Perhaps smell,

Perhaps the weight of it and any sound as you hold within your hand all those positive vibrations from the experience of your positive state and as you continue feel the power of your right hand fist.

Now take a brief look over to your left hand and see yourself from the outside in small on the palm of your hand noticing how you look when you have been feeling less powerful in relation to your unwanted habit noticing how you look in the moment just before you used to begin it.

See the physiology and take note of any movement,

Any sound,

The expression that you are wearing on your face while keeping your distance only looking from the outside in just noticing and now bring all of your attention back to your right hand your fist of power and feel again how it is for you to be in the experience of feeling positive and powerful making good choices for you.

Experience the physiology,

The breathing,

Your posture,

The flow of energy within your body,

Seeing all that you want to see around you,

Expressing all that you want to for you,

Being aware of any of the qualities of this experience and now take your right hand and open the fist and cover over your left hand pouring those positive experiences all of the sensations and energy into your left hand,

The palm of your left hand.

Feel the stirring within as your positivity flows from right to left until both hands look and feel the same in balance and in sync enjoying that flow for a moment,

Moment to moment linking your hands and now they will be linked in your neurology and simply stay with that balance for a little while more slowly becoming aware of your full body presence as the energy from your hands softens to the energy of your arms,

Your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your neck,

Your stomach,

Your hips,

Your legs,

Your feet circulating now through the whole circuitry of your mind and body being aware of your full body presence and when you're ready now just wriggle your fingers,

Both hands open,

Clap your hands together once and then rub them together vigorously then look again at your hands,

Both hands the same and when you're ready you might like to wiggle or stretch,

Some of you might feel surprisingly grounded or alert but however you do feel take a little time to shift fully back to now and you can be creative with this exercise,

With this practice.

If for some reason it's not easy for you to use your hands to make this shift then think about which parts of your body right or left you can adapt the principles to.
