Hi there fellow Earthlings and welcome to a meditation where we will call in Earth's energy.
I find that the best way to connect with Earth's energy to greet the Earth is through our feet.
I suggest that you take your shoes and socks off and our bare foot.
Then find a comfortable posture where you can plant your bare feet into the ground,
Into the surface of the room you're in.
If you're outside that's even better.
Maybe you want to stand for this meditation or rest on your back with the knees bent and your feet planted into the ground.
Any way that you can get comfortable and plant your feet.
As you settle in,
A little bit about Earth's energy.
The grounding energy of the Earth is natural.
Earth's energy is already there.
It's already present and ready for us to call her in.
When we take the time to choose to consciously greet the Earth by making contact with the Earth through our body and appreciating the Earth with our breath,
We can magnify that powerful pure energy of nature.
Breathe in deep through your nose and let it fall out of your mouth.
Two more breaths like that in through the nose and blow the air out the mouth on the exhale.
In through the nose and sigh it all out of the mouth.
Close your eyes and notice the Earth.
Greet her and feel your feet on the ground.
Take a few breaths here to greet Earth's energy.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel the ground below you.
Feel the ground underneath your body.
What is the structure,
The shape of the foundation that's holding you,
That's supporting you up?
If you're outside,
What is the foundation of the Earth underneath you?
If you're indoors,
What is the structure that is holding you up?
Then breathe out.
The Earth structures of our body are the bones,
Tissues,
And muscles.
Feel into the Earth structure of your own body.
Take a few breaths to feel into the shape and curves of your body.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel the bottoms of your feet open up to Earth's energy.
Feel the center of your hips and pelvis open up to Earth's energy.
And any other points that are making contact with the Earth,
The ground beneath you,
Open those areas up to Earth's energy.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Take a few breaths to visualize on the inhale,
Drawing in Earth's energy into your center.
And visualizing on the exhale,
Sending back out Earth's energy down deep back into the center of the Earth's core.
Inhale drawing in Earth's energy to the center of your body.
And exhale sending back down and out Earth's energy back to the core of the center of the Earth.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel the relationship your breath has with the Earth.
This interconnected relationship with the Earth's energy with each inhale and exhale that you take.
On the in-breath,
Breathing in prana,
Life force energy,
Fresh oxygen from the plants in the Earth's environment.
And on the out-breath,
Breathing back out,
Nourishing life force energy back to the world,
The plants and the Earth.
You breathe in,
They breathe out.
You breathe out,
They breathe in.
Take a few breaths and observe this relationship that allows for us and the Earth to continue on living.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel into this knowing,
This ancient relationship that exists between you and the Earth.
This is the very same Earth that our ancestors trotted around on.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Visualize deep down into the Earth's center at the Earth's core,
Earth's energy like a magnet from its core holding you down like a big hug.
Feel Earth's energy anchoring you into this present moment with each breath you take.
Another minute here,
Appreciating Earth.
The Earth breathes out,
We breathe in.
The Earth breathes in,
We breathe out.
Always reconnected to Earth's energy through our breath.
Centered,
Rooted,
Protected.
Always reconnected to Earth's energy through our physical body.
I encourage us all to make contact with nature more.
Practiciously greet her,
Thank her,
And appreciate her.
Go outside today and look around you,
Take it all in.
If you're indoors all day,
Call in Earth's energy by putting up photos of the Earth around you,
Having an indoor plant,
Playing with crystals,
Or by going barefoot.
The practice of greeting Earth and showing her some appreciation feels so good.
On your next breath,
Start to come back into your body by bringing small movements to your fingers and toes.
Slowly let light back into your eyes.
