This is for anyone struggling with Acne. I know how it feels, so created a practice for others to deepen and connect with their skin in a positive way. As cheesy as it may seem, practicing acceptance, love, and gratitude towards acne can be extremely healing, at least it was for me. Acne has humbled me and has opened my eyes to the things in my life and in the world that are more important than my looks. I am honestly grateful for acne.

This meditation is for anyone who's suffering with acne.

Find somewhere to rest on your back or sit tall if you'd like.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes.

Inhale,

Take a deep breath from the base of your spine.

Exhale,

Release your shoulders down away from the ears.

On your next inhale,

Shift your awareness to the largest organ of your body,

Your skin.

Feel your skin.

Feel the air pressing against your skin.

Feel your clothes against your skin.

Feel all the sensations of your skin.

Be aware that you have been perceiving your skin from the outside of your body.

And in this meditation,

We are going to perceive the skin from the inside,

From our heart and our mind.

Continue breathing.

As a fellow acne sufferer,

I know what a pain it is.

I know that I'm not the only one suffering from acne.

I know how much it interferes with the quality of your life.

And a lot of people don't understand.

No matter how many times you wash your face,

No matter how many natural remedies,

Pharmaceutical remedies,

And diet changes you've made,

The acne just seems to never go away.

We have very little control over our acne.

However,

There is one thing that we do have control over,

And that's our relationship towards our acne.

In this meditation,

You will practice accepting,

Loving,

And being grateful for the things that you have done.

Loving and being grateful for your acne.

This isn't easy,

But the more you practice,

I promise the more you'll grow on this journey that acne is taking you on.

If you'd like,

Maybe place your palms over your heart and begin to breathe into your heart.

Feel the kindness and compassion that's coming from breathing into your heart.

Tuning in completely to your heart.

Now imagine sending these deep,

Compassionate breaths,

Breaths full of acceptance and love towards the area of your skin that you're suffering with acne.

Send these healing breaths to your skin.

If you'd like,

You can even silently speak to your acne.

Tell your acne,

That you're suffering with acne.

You can even silently speak to your acne.

Tell your acne that you love it,

That you are so grateful,

And that you are honored that you have acne,

And that you are learning so much on this journey,

And you are so humbled by your acne.

It reminds you that you are human.

Nothing's perfect.

Even if you don't believe it,

Continue to keep breathing deep,

Loving,

Healing breaths full of gratitude towards your acne.

Be friends with your acne.

Be kind to yourself.

Remain here.

Still,

Feel the air pressing against your skin.

Feel your body supported by the ground beneath you.

Next time you're looking in the mirror,

Tearing up,

Feeling awful,

Look the other way.

Come to this meditation,

Or just close your eyes and breathe gratitude towards it,

Love towards it.

Celebrate your acne.

Speak words of kindness to your acne.

Be proud of your acne.

The more you practice this,

The more you'll grow,

And the more your eyes are going to open to what really matters to you in your life.

Thank you so so much for this! I have struggled with acne for years ..and throughout my journey i have beaten myself up, cried, criticized and i have been shamed of my skin . Not it's time to change all this. I wanna be free, and grateful and happy no matter whatπŸ™β€οΈ
