
Meditation For Those Experiencing Illness
I felt inspired to create this meditation because I noticed there were very few meditations out there addressing illness, and yet this is a core human experience. When we are experiencing the suffering of illness, it can be much more difficult than usual to find the motivation to meditate, and it is also easy to slip into fixating and ruminating about our condition. From a mindfulness perspective, this only amplifies our suffering. The intention of this gentle meditation is to bring balance to the mind and cultivate awareness and compassion, gently embracing the sensations and emotions that arise, and creating a space for healing. It is designed to be done from bed, with sensitivity to the physical challenges that may be affecting your usual practice.
