Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me the Anse.
You're meditating upon Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Your light,
Yet you live in darkness.
Your bliss,
Yet you live in misery.
You are knowledge,
Yet you live in ignorance.
You are God,
Yet you live like a demon.
Wake up,
This is the message of yoga,
This is the message of meditation.
This message is to wake you up of your own ignorance,
To show you that you are not ignorance,
That you are knowledge.
To take you out of your own darkness,
To show you that you are not darkness,
That you are light.
To take you out of your misery,
Of assuming that you are in misery and showing you that you are bliss.
To take you out of this trap of you thinking that you are the demon.
To show you that you are the God is the process,
Is the message,
Is the effort of yoga,
Meditation and all those people in different times and spaces who have come like Patanjali to take you out of this ignorance and show you your own knowledge that belongs to you,
That you yourself are.
To enlighten you of your own enlightenment,
To show you that you are already enlightened.
What does that mean?
Is that you are already light.
To wake you up of your true nature,
To wake you up to this enlightenment,
To your true nature that you are light.
That much effort is needed and that effort is yoga,
That effort is meditation and all these people like Patanjali who have come,
Who have made their effort,
Have transformed lives of many and once again there is this chance.
Once again as we go through these Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and we have been going through these sutras over the last several weeks,
Months,
Lots of transformation is possible,
Lots of awakening enlightenment is possible of your own enlightenment.
Through this journey there is nothing new that you will learn that you don't know already but you are ignorant of it.
You are asleep about it,
You are ignorant in a way that needs to be shaken up,
That you need to be shaken up,
Your awareness needs to be once again ignited and taken you out of your own sleep that you have been for so long.
It is time that you wake up and wake up along with these messages from Patanjali reflecting on your life becoming more and more enlightened about your life.
Let us see what Patanjali has to say for today.
Patanjali says,
Pravatthi Aloka Nyasat Sukshma Vyavahita Viprakshta Gyanam By Samyama on the light within,
The knowledge of subtle hidden and remote is obtained.
By Samyama on the light within.
And that Patanjali clearly indicates all of us have the light within.
We may see it,
We may not see it.
We may walk this journey called life in the light of our inner light or we may not but there is this inner light in all of us.
And if we meditate upon this inner light,
If we do the Samyama,
This awareness on this full awareness,
This full alert awareness on this inner light that we all have,
Then the knowledge of the subtle,
Of the hidden and the remote is obtained.
You right now live always on the periphery.
You always live only on what is gross,
Only on the periphery with the current awareness that you have,
With the current ignorance about yourself that you have.
But when you,
When you're aware of your own light,
When you start moving towards the center,
When you start moving towards your being,
When you start becoming who you really are,
When you start living who you really are and being aware of every little aspect about yourself,
About your life,
Once again awake to life,
Then you see that there is subtle,
Hidden and remote that becomes known to you.
Meaning when you move from the periphery to the center of your being,
On the periphery,
Everything is defined,
Everything is gross,
Everything is measurable,
Everything can be seen by everybody else.
But what about the subtle?
What about the nuances of life which bring this aliveness,
Which bring joy,
Which bring happiness,
Which bring inner peace,
All these nuances of life,
All these subtleties of life,
They are not on the surface.
They are not on the gross.
They are in nothing that is created out there in the world.
They only happen once you move from the surface to the center.
And once you start settling from the surface to the center,
Then this subtle opens up for you.
This knowledge of subtle is obtained,
Meaning the experience of subtle is obtained.
Then the hidden and the remote,
Things that are not in our natural awareness,
In our daily life,
Things that are hidden,
So called hidden,
They become very apparent,
Very clear about oneself and also about the world.
And lastly,
The knowledge of remote is obtained.
Here Patanjali is saying it's not only about the direction inwards,
But this knowledge is also of the direction outwards,
Meaning when you are knowing,
When you are knowing yourself,
You know the world,
You know the cosmos as well,
And everything that is remote,
Everything that is not necessarily in your physical reach,
Even that knowledge is obtained if you become aware,
If you do the samyama on your inner light.
If you come in contact with your inner light,
In that light,
Nothing remains in darkness because you are light and that light,
When this shines upon the inner and the outer,
You know everything.
And he goes on saying in the following sutras,
He keeps on describing and giving examples,
What does that mean?
He says,
Bhuvanagyanam surya samyamat,
By samyama on the sun,
Knowledge of the entire solar system is obtained.
So he reveals the secret of yogis,
How yogis,
How the ancient knowledgeable people knew about all the solar system before the telescope,
Before the technology that is only a couple of hundreds of years old,
We know about the solar system,
We have the whole astrology,
Astronomy,
All well founded in our ancient wisdom,
That knowledge was obtained by samyama as an example on the sun.
Imagine somebody,
A yogi,
So dedicated,
So committed to do the samyama on the sun,
Imagine the light that he contains in himself,
That he dares to dedicate his life to do the samyama on the sun,
On that sun which creates life on earth,
The entire existence on this earth is dependent on that sun and then the yogi,
He is so enlightened,
He is so full of light that he wants to know the cosmos,
He wants to know the sun and he does the samyama on the sun,
When he does that he gets to know about the entire solar system.
We are not concerned about that if we can know about the inner sun,
If we can know about our inner light,
That is an enlightenment enough to bring the transformation in our life that we all need at this moment.
He says by samyama on the moon comes the knowledge of the stars arrangements,
So chandre,
Tara,
Vyuhagyanam,
He is from moving from the sun to the moon because there are yogis who just want to map out the entire cosmos,
From sun they know the knowledge of the solar system,
From the moon they know the knowledge of the stars.
Infinite stars in this cosmos,
What are these?
Nobody knows.
Science,
We have made theories about them,
We have done our little experiment about them with our little lens that we see and we keep on writing theories about what these stars are,
How much life is out there in other galaxies in this cosmos and we keep on extrapolating our imagination.
But here the yogi wants to know the truth,
He doesn't want to just imagine,
Just infer based on little dots that we collect from here and there,
He wants to know the whole.
So he does samyama on the moon which reveals the entire constellations,
The entire settings of the stars.
This is what Patanjali claims.
He is giving here clues and secrets to the ancient knowledge.
If you are interested to open up this door,
Go deeper into what Patanjali is saying.
If this does not resonate to you,
If this does not bring much to you,
Just see what all is possible.
See the only tool that you have is your own awareness,
Is your own inner light and with that you can do almost everything in life.
You can know almost everything in life.
Then he says,
Dhruvayu Tard Gati Gyanam,
By samyama on the pole star comes the knowledge of the stars movements.
So how are all these stars moving if you look at a night full of stars,
It is one of the most beautiful things and the biggest blessing on the human beings to be able to witness things like that,
A sky full of stars and all those movements that are out there.
If you do the samyama,
If you hold your awareness on the pole star,
On the star that is on top of the axis of the North Pole,
Which appears to be still,
In that stillness the movement of stars is known,
Which can be understood,
The wisdom of it can be understood as if you become still.
If you achieve to complete inner stillness all the movements that are happening around you,
The knowledge of those movements is gained and that is more significant than knowing about the movement of the stars,
The way we live our life,
What is important to our life.
Then he goes on talking about samyama on other parts,
On other aspects which we can look into tomorrow.
For now let us bring our awareness,
Attention to this inner light,
To once again remind us of our inner light,
To become enlightened of our own enlightenment.
To become knowledgeable about our own knowledge.
Please close your eyes,
Take a posture that is comfortable,
That allows you a few moments of stillness,
A few moments of silence,
A few moments of moving within in your inner space,
Leaving the surface of the world and move towards the subtle,
The hidden,
The remote inner depths.
Focus on your heart center,
The region in between your chest,
The heart chakra,
The heart center,
Or simply call as inner space,
Whatever helps you to turn inwards,
To bring all your awareness to one point,
To one space.
In this inward turn,
The more your awareness settles down,
The more you are able to turn into a sense of light,
Inner light arises in you.
Tune yourself to this sense of inner light.
What you may find most entering this planet is the pursue of moral order.

Not like the light in front of your closed eyes,
But a sense,
A sense beyond the physical,
Deep at the center of your being,
A sense of light that has always been there,
Shining bright,
A sense of light that has always been there,
Shining bright,
A sense of light that has always been there,
Shining bright,
As you come in contact with your inner light,
With this sense of inner light,
The whole body,
All of you become light,
With light everywhere inside you,
Radiating outwards into the world.

Stay in this inner light,
In its peace,
In its silence,
In its knowledge,
In its bliss,
In its godliness,
Stay in this inner light,
As you remain still,
Silent and aware.
