Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,

Dhyansa.

We're meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.

Go back to that very first moment when you were born.

The eyes that you had to see out in the world.

The very first time you opened your eyes and you looked out into the world.

So much urge to see the awe and wonder of this world.

So much energy flowing out through your eyes to see the world.

So much energy flowing out through your ears to hear the world.

So much urge to go out in the world and experience this world.

And by and by,

The more you experience this world,

This outer world with your senses,

You come to a point where you settle with what you see.

You settle with what you hear.

You settle with what you smell,

Your taste,

Your touch.

The energy settles but some urge in you is still not settled.

You see that no matter how much do you put your energy outwards in these five senses into the world,

It is not enough.

No matter what you see,

It has its own place but eventually it is a permutation and a combination of the five senses.

When you are busy in the outwardly world,

When you are busy in these senses and what these senses show you,

Spirituality has no meaning for you.

As long as you are still completely absorbed in the five senses and what the five senses show you,

You are still not ready for spirituality.

Spirituality happens when you realize that no matter which combination,

Whichever permutation and combination you make out of the senses,

It has its own place,

It is good what you see,

You can see something different but it is not enough for life.

And this urge,

This seeking starts arising in you.

Is there more to life than just these five senses,

What you see outside of the world?

And then a shift,

A turn happens towards the inner world,

Towards the world of mystery,

Towards the world beyond senses.

The world that you see with the senses,

You can divide this into three parts,

The known,

The unknown and the unknowable.

The known that you have already seen,

That you have already tasted,

That you have already heard,

That you have already experienced with your senses,

Then the world that is unknown,

That you have not yet experienced,

The places that you have not yet been to,

The people that you have not met,

The food that you have not yet tasted,

All the unknown,

But that's so small as compared to this vast unknowable.

There is this unknowable which is so vast and which cannot be touched with your five senses,

With your mind and for that this inward turn happens,

This turn which takes you into the inner world.

As if all this time you were swimming on the surface of the ocean,

Never looked into the depths and finally you go down into the depths of the ocean and a whole new world opens up for you,

A completely new mysterious world where the laws of that world are completely different.

Everything is your own inner depths,

Spirituality,

Yoga,

Meditation is all an effort to give you that turn,

To give you that turn from the outside to the inside.

It does help you on the outside,

It does help you to bring clarity in your senses,

In your life,

To bring peace in your life,

To bring some organization how you maneuver yourself with those five senses,

But with that clarity of the outside,

It also puts you into the mystery of the inside.

This inside world,

You cannot approach it without approaching it as a mystery.

In an attempt to demystify everything,

In an attempt to demystify the outer world,

We also try to approach the inner world with trying to demystify it.

We approach it with the same attitude,

With the same tools,

With the same mindset,

With the same approach.

That fails because if you turn inwards with that,

There is nothing to experience.

What is there in the inner world other than your own projection of the mind if you approach it via trying to demystify it.

So you have to see that this inner world can only be experienced if you approach it as a mystery.

Then the life becomes a mystery,

Not to be solved,

A mystery that is not to be solved but to be lived.

And this whole inner world is also not a mystery to be solved but something that is to be lived.

That vast,

Below the ocean,

Below the surface,

That vast ocean,

That infinite ocean that you have in you of this inner world becomes relevant when these five senses are not enough and you see that you are seeking something more,

An experience of yourself that is more true that is more deeper of yourself.

The techniques of Tantra that we are discussing in these series,

They are very much focused on giving you the turn,

Sometimes gradually,

Sometimes very spontaneously.

A turn that does not require too much practice,

A turn that is very sudden from the outside to the inside.

You are thrown into the depths of yourself in just one technique,

In just a few trials of that technique.

You don't have to practice the meditation for hundreds and thousands of hours but you are thrown into your own depths with those techniques.

And from there on you approach those depths with your awareness.

You approach those depths as a mystery to be lived,

Not as a mystery to be demystified.

Let us hear the technique that Bhairava brings in Vigyan Bhairava Tantra for today and we will sit in silence in meditation afterwards.

Bhairava says,

By closing the seven openings of the head with your hands and by piercing the drop of light at the center between the eyebrows,

Being absorbed within that the supreme state is realized.

This is one of those incredible techniques,

One of those amazing techniques that throws you from the outside to the inside.

That is so sudden,

So amazing that you will not be able to put all what you hear,

All what you experience in your understanding.

So don't try to understand or approach it with the mind too much.

See it with your awareness,

Feel it with your senses,

With the 1001 senses that you have within you beyond just these five external senses.

So the technique says by closing the seven openings of the head with your hands.

So here what Bhairava is saying that you close the openings of the head.

What are the five openings?

Your two ears,

Two eyes,

Two nose and mouth.

This is an attempt to cut off this external outer world for you through the senses.

And how do you do that?

You close these seven openings with your hands.

So here what the technique says is not that you now start plugging your ears with an ear plug or your nose with a plug or your mouth and so on.

You just simply hold it naturally,

Close it with your hands in a way that when it is enough,

You release the hands,

You once again let the energy flow,

Let once again your senses be open.

So not forcing yourself but having a mechanism with which you could close these five senses which could be reopened.

So here those who are practicing this technique make sure that you do it in a way which is just allowing the closing of these senses and also opening of these senses as natural to you as possible.

Then the second part of the technique is by piercing the drop of light at the center between the eyebrows.

When you close these senses,

What happens is the energy that was flowing outwards,

It suddenly starts flowing inwards.

Whatever awareness was flowing outwards,

That awareness is flowing inwards,

This creates all your energies to rise up all the way to your third eye center.

And this is where Bhairava says by piercing the drop of light at the center between the eyebrows,

When you close your senses,

Your energies rise and you see a drop of light at your third eye center.

This seeing of light at your third eye center is beyond the five senses,

Is beyond the projection of your mind.

This is seen in your awareness,

That is beyond your five senses.

So he says by piercing the drop of light at the center between the eyebrows,

Being absorbed within that,

The Supreme State is realized.

Being absorbed in that,

Remaining focused one-pointed with that,

Then the Supreme State is realized.

This technique we will do in five parts.

There will be five steps to this technique.

So listen carefully what these five steps are.

The first step is you will shift your awareness to your third eye center.

You will give yourself enough time that your awareness is settling,

Is becoming one-pointed,

Is in a contemplation of the third eye center.

Physically,

You will keep your attention at the region in between your eyebrows.

So that will be step number one.

Step number two,

You will close your seven openings with your hands.

The way you will do that is very simple.

You will use your thumbs to close your ears,

Your index finger to close your eyes,

And your middle finger and the ring finger to close your nose.

And just as a gesture to close the mouth,

You will keep your little finger on your mouth.

And as you do that,

You will see that your energy will rise up.

The energy will rise up and will show you a drop of light at your third eye center.

This will be the third step where you will concentrate,

Will pierce this drop of light,

Meaning you will be one-pointed at this drop of light.

You will identify this light that is created in your third eye center and then you will move on to the fourth step,

Which is this light.

This drop of light will slowly fade away.

Along with that,

You will let your mind also slowly settle.

As the light fades away,

Your mind settles and you transcend into this supreme state,

This fifth step where there is complete inner peace.

You are back home,

You are back into the depths of your own inner world where there is pure consciousness,

Pure silence,

Pure awareness.

So you will go through this five-step journey.

At any point,

If any of the steps is not happening,

Do not worry about it.

Sit silently,

Just keeping your awareness at the third eye center.

If you see the light,

Follow the procedure to keep your awareness one-pointed at that drop of light and as the light fades away,

Follow that fading away with that following of the fading of the light,

Your mind also settles,

A state of thoughtlessness,

A state of pure consciousness arises.

Feel that,

Rejoice in that.

If that does not happen,

Remain silent,

Remain aware of your third eye center.

This is one of those incredible techniques that works almost for everyone.

So give it your sincere try and take it playfully,

Don't take it too seriously.

Let us sit in silence and try this technique.

One more point here,

When you will close your senses or your seven openings with your hands,

Do it for a period as long as comfortable for you.

You will open your senses once again and we will close it once again.

We will do this as a few rounds and after 3,

4,

5 rounds we will just simply sit in silence.

I will guide you throughout the process.

The only thing you will do is,

At your own pace,

Is the opening and closing of the senses of these seven openings.

Let us close our eyes and take a posture that is easy,

Comfortable for you.

Stay resting,

Breath flowing naturally.

Open your awareness at your third eye center.

With every breath,

Body settling more and more,

Resting,

Your mind settling and your awareness in the region between your eyebrows,

Your contemplation at the third eye center,

And just drawing your awareness and attention from different directions and putting it at your third eye center.

Insurgents.

As your attention and awareness is more and more at your third eye center.

Step 2.

Take your hands and close the 7 openings of your head.

The index finger on your eyes,

Thumbs in your ears,

The ring finger on your nose and the little finger on your mouth.

Give yourself few seconds before you open it at your own pace.

And release.

Open your hands.

Get familiar with your inner space.

See that as soon as you close these 7 openings,

The energy rises and you keep your attention always at the third eye center.

Next time,

Look for this drop of light at your third eye center.

If you see it,

Concentrate on it,

Allow it to form and dissolve on its own.

Simply remain concentrated one with this drop of light at your third eye center.

Once again,

Let us do this step number 2.

And close the 7 openings of your head.

And releasing the hands,

Allowing the energies to reorganize,

Your breath to flow naturally,

Keeping your awareness always at the third eye center,

In the middle of your eyebrows,

Recalling this drop of light that you see in front of your third eye.

In the next round,

Pay more attention to your third eye center when you are closing the 7 openings,

Feeling the energy rising,

Reaching to the third eye center.

Step number 2,

Closing the 7 openings in your head.

The drop of light that you see forming and fading away,

Remain connected to that,

Remain one pointed at your third eye center.

Another round.

Step number 2,

Closing the 7 openings in your head.

And release,

Keeping your awareness on the third eye center,

Allowing your breath to become natural.

One more round.

This time,

Put all your attention on this drop of light that you see.

As soon as you close the 7 openings of the head,

Shift your attention to the middle of your eyebrows.

Step number 2,

Closing the 7 openings.

And relax.

Release your hand.

Put your body back into a comfortable posture,

With your awareness at your third eye center.

All the madness settles.

A sense of silence,

A sense of peace,

Awareness of the inner world.

Let go of your focus on the third eye center,

Allowing the awareness to be in all directions,

In your inner space,

In your inner world.

And stay in this mystery of the inner world,

The silence and the awareness of your inner world.

Don't try to hold on to anything.

Not trying to change anything.

Simply staying in this moment,

In silence,

In awareness.

And then,

You know,

You're not going to be able to change anything.

You're not going to be able to change anything.

You're not going to be able to change anything.

You're not going posh.

You're not going to be able to change anything.

You're not going to be able through the virtual world constellation,

Whatever it may be.

Bring yourself back to the five senses.

To what you see in front of your closed eyes.

To what you hear in your surroundings.

To what you smell,

What you taste.

What you feel as a touch on your skin.

Energy back into the five senses.

And very gently and slowly you may open your eyes to the world of five senses.

Remaining in contact,

In awareness of your inner world,

Of this taste,

This experience of the infinite depths,

Of the infinite senses of awareness that give you that access to those depths.

If you wish to share more of your experiences with other meditators,

With me,

We have formed a small community.

And that's the place where we all meet beyond these sessions that happen daily.

Thank you very much.

Namaste.
