
Inner Journey: Self-Inquiry
Meditation is a tool to calm the mind. It is also a tool to unlock the secrets of the mind so we can know ourselves on a deeper level. In this meditation, we use meditative self-inquiry to find answers to questions that will reveal who we are and how we will evolve.

Peace and blessing first let me thank you for taking time out of your day to join me here for the inner journey meditation and I also want you to thank yourself and appreciate yourself for giving yourself the gift of quiet giving yourself the gift of time and space and giving yourself the gift of this inner journey there is so much we want in life so many unfulfilled desires but true maturity comes when we realize that our desires have been unfulfilled because we don't truly know what we want and we don't truly know ourselves all of your desires are a reflection of you there are reflections of things you feel you lack things you feel you need things that are missing unhealed wounds and that's why looking within yourself is oh so important the most important relationship you will ever have is the loving relationship that you will develop with yourself and there is so much love you have and it goes to everyone around you your cup overflows for the entire world but the first person who should take a drink from your goblet of love should be you now I want you to find a place that is nice quiet safe comfortable and I want you to take a nice slow deep breath and we'll begin by simply relaxing your body breathe in once and when you breathe in this one time relax the muscles in your face and your scalp breathe in a second time relax the muscles in your neck and your shoulders breathe in a third time relax the muscles in your back and in your abdomen and the fourth time relax the muscles in your arms and your legs and last but not least another slow deep breath and I want you to relax your mind how do you relax your mind this is the tricky part you do not relax your mind by fighting your thoughts or trying to bully your awareness into quiet what you must do is become the observer of your thoughts and simply watch them without judgment and when you allow your thoughts to simply be without judging them without fighting them without trying to run from them the mind will naturally become very very you don't fight within yourself you simply accept yourself and things will change now take one last slow deep breath breathe in expand your chest expand your belly hold it for a moment and release now I want you to ask yourself what is it that you truly want so often we don't get the things we desire because we don't know what we desire or we are very unclear we want happiness but what does that mean we want inner peace but what does that mean we want success but for you what does success mean I want you to clearly define in this moment what it is you truly want define it imagine how you'll feel when you receive it what is the texture of it what is the smell what is the weight what is the taste what is the sound where are you how much or how little who will it benefit why will it benefit them why is it so important to you these are probably questions that you were always afraid to ask but now is your time to look within yourself and the answers will reveal so much about who you are what is this thing what is place for this person how will you enjoy it how will your life change how will you change understand you can have it whatever you truly want you just have to have a clear vision of the dimension of it and the meaning of it next ask yourself how and why are you holding yourself back quite often the things we truly want we feel that we don't deserve them or we feel like having them is a sin we feel that we are unworthy we question what others will think or we simply feel that having these things are simply unrealistic or maybe we're afraid sometimes you're afraid of failure sometimes you're afraid of success maybe you're afraid of what your mother will think or father or other loved ones ask yourself why are you holding yourself back if you believe you can have it and you know that it exists why are you holding yourself back from attaining it by asking the question you probably feel a slight sense of anxiety maybe you've already answered the question you also feel anxiety but let these things go learn to observe the thoughts and learn to observe the emotions without judgment don't judge yourself just understand yourself accept yourself and let these emotions and these thoughts become quiet remember resisting and fighting within yourself intensifies these negative emotions but accepting them conquers them and they slowly melt away and by answering this question you learn so much about who you are and that's the true goal of the inner journey to make the things you want manifest by looking within yourself know thyself and watch the heavens open take another deep breath and ask yourself how will you evolve to break free from anything or anyone holding you if right now you are stuck because you're holding yourself back and there has to be a change there has to be a change in you so that you can break free and set yourself free that is the difficult part about being your own jailer holding yourself back without holding yourself back with fear you have to change the multi-dimensional level to achieve the things you truly want and desire how are you going to change to achieve these goals and when you answer the question just like in the previous questions be as specific as possible in don't say I have to be happier in order to achieve my goals don't say well I have to be freer what are these doubts mean to you what exactly will you have to change what exactly will you have to do will you have to learn to take more accountability will you have to learn to be more patient or you have to learn to face your fears will you have to learn to let others in we have to learn to ask for help will you pray more or you work more what will you do in order to achieve these goals what specifically will you do and as you become more and more specific in your visualization you'll learn more about yourself and get closer to achieving these goals give yourself the gift of complete but gentle honesty and then once you change within yourself your circumstances will change once the mind changes the body will change and the life will change and last but not least ask yourself how will you conquer the fear of success when you achieve what you desire so many people get the things they want and finally getting the thing you always want it can be such a frightening thing and if you've gotten used to not having it if you've gotten used to the pursuit if you've become addicted to the desire your self sabotage you'll find some kind of a way to become separate from it again because that is the nature of it but what will you do now you have conquered your fear you've conquered your inability to trust yourself you've conquered the inability to clearly visualize what you want now you have to answer the question of what are you gonna do to conquer your fear of achieving what you truly desire and you have to be very clear and specific about what that entails how do you conquer fear do you love yourself more do you take more time to grow accustomed to changes you pray more do you meditate more do you read more in order to conquer fear you have to know yourself and understand why why why you are afraid you have what you always wanted and you are afraid to lose it but you're also afraid to keep it why allow yourself the gift of peace allow yourself the gift of contentment in this moment allow your mind to be at ease and see yourself with this the success that you're looking for the thing you're looking for the dream fully realized imagine it is here now and imagine that you are calm anxiety is gone fear is gone and allow yourself to be with it in your mind and your heart and that be at peace you are in a state of contentment in a state of bliss don't be afraid and the Bible when people saw angels the angels would always say be not afraid when we achieve our goals we have to remind ourselves be not afraid and just take a moment to just enjoy the thought of having what you truly desire and continue to breathe in and out slow and deep in hold it for a moment and slowly release in hold it for a moment and slowly release in hold it for a moment and then slowly release now count to five and if you want to you can open your eyes or you can sit with this feeling for a little while longer one two three four five peace and blessings
