Welcome,

Everybody,

To our meditation for anxiety,

For panic,

For stress.

You are here now,

Today,

Tonight,

To get rid,

To break through,

To break free from uncomfortable sensations and feelings that make you feel unsafe,

Insecure,

And out of place.

Throughout this meditation,

I invite you to keep your breath flowing like a wind.

It goes in,

It goes out naturally,

Effortlessly.

Keep it conscious,

Keep it moving.

For anxiety to flourish,

For it to take place,

It needs the right environment.

Environment and situations such as deadlines,

Tiredness,

Fatigue,

The unknown,

Lack of faith,

Nutrition even,

Junk food,

Sugar,

Caffeine,

And anything that pushes us over the edge and lose control and lose touch with our center,

With the stable,

The secure,

The known.

Each of us have a speed limit in life.

To keep anxiety at bay,

We need to discover our own speed limit.

Because the speed you operate in life for your tasks,

For work,

For family,

For household chores,

You might be going with 100 miles or kilometers per hour and then you work just fine.

For my situation,

For the same amount of tasks and chores,

70 kilometers might be okay with me.

And if I take it up to 100,

Then I lose control.

So it's important,

In fact,

It's vital that you discover your own speed limit.

Is it 100?

Is it 200?

Is it 50?

Find it,

Own it,

Claim it,

And then cruise on the speed that makes you feel comfortable,

Feels safe and supported.

The breath keeps moving with each inhale and exhale.

You feel a blanket of light wash over you,

Carrying away all problems,

All worries.

For you are here,

In the now,

In this meditation,

On this bed,

On this ground,

On this pillow,

In this car,

Wherever you are on planet Earth right now,

I am with you.

You are heard,

You are acknowledged,

Keep your breath flowing and moving,

Connect to your organic,

Natural flow of breath,

Like a wave on a beach.

It goes in,

It goes out,

It goes in,

It goes out.

The wave remains always connected to the ocean,

To the sea.

Similarly,

Keep your breath connected with your being.

For anxiety to take place,

We first must identify with the I,

The letter in anxiety,

Sitting right in the middle.

The I can identify with ego,

An isolated state of awareness.

By identifying with this ego,

We disconnect with all that is,

Other people,

Situations,

Love,

Happiness,

Joy,

But also sadness,

Anger,

Grief.

Ego detaches us from the natural emotions and flows of life.

We close off our hearts,

We lock away the outside world,

We just build up ANX,

A-N-X,

Within our bodies,

Within our minds.

A tiny problem becomes huge within the realm of the mind.

A tiny problem might be overwhelming for you.

A tiny problem,

However,

If shared with your people,

With your community,

Maybe friends,

Family,

Or loved ones.

If you share a tiny problem for others to assist you,

To help you,

Then it is a problem no more.

It is therefore the I,

The ego,

Who separates us and just carries a huge bag of problems on your back,

By yourself,

For yourself.

Speak,

Express,

Share your problems,

Let others allow others to help.

This does not mean that you throw your problems onto others.

You also take responsibility.

The prime conductor of the orchestra of stress,

Problems,

And anxiety is you.

You decide how to fix it.

You decide who to allow to help you to fix it.

More importantly,

You decide if you ever plan to fix it.

For you to be here right now,

In this moment,

Your decision has been made.

And I am proud of you.

Dive deep within you and feel,

I am proud of me,

For taking the decision to steer my life in the direction I desire.

A life that's lighter,

Away from the heavy burdens of everyday stress.

Now,

Stress cannot be eliminated.

It's every day,

Everywhere,

The whole planet.

It cannot be avoided.

It's a part of life.

We can,

However,

Grow stronger,

Build better mechanisms to cope with it.

Become aware again of your breath.

Let it be,

Let it flow.

Next time you feel the tickly inkling of a panic attack,

Here's a few tips for you to stare it away,

To keep your calmness at bay.

Simply by bringing your awareness to the five senses.

You bring your attention to five things you see.

If your eyes are closed,

You may blink them open and observe this space around you.

And count five things that you can see.

Then we move to four things you can touch.

Maybe your trousers,

Maybe your own palm.

Four things that you can touch right here in this moment.

We move to three things you can hear.

Is it my voice?

Is it the outside world?

Identify three things in this moment that you can hear.

Two things you can smell.

Engage the sense of smell through the nostrils.

What can you smell right now in this space around you,

In this room?

And finally,

One thing you can taste.

Is it the plain taste of your own saliva?

Is it a taste from the meal you had before?

Whatever it is,

Observe it.

Is it salty?

Is it sweet?

So these five things are pathways towards the senses,

Guiding you inwards and shifting away from the heavy anxiety stress you may be feeling in that moment.

And I repeat,

It's five things you can see.

Four things you can touch.

Three things you can hear.

Two things you can smell.

One thing you can taste.

Become aware of the flow of breath once again.

Let the breath in,

Let the breath out.

And begin to shift the awareness to your body.

Gentle movements to your hands,

To your feet.

Deepen your inhales.

Release on the exhales.

I am here.

I am now.

I am free.

Repeat this mantra whenever you feel the need to accompany you,

To support you on the journey inwards.

I thank you for joining me for this meditation.

Thank yourself for taking the time for something new towards your journey of self-realization.

Namaste.
