Transcript
Welcome to this Healing Heartbreak Meditation.
I am Densler Connell.
Today we are going to talk about the Kintsuki Gold Injury.
It's a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of the breakage with lacquered or powdered gold.
As a philosophy,
It treats breakage and repair as part of the history of the object.
In today's meditation,
We will accept our broken heart and lovingly and with care pour the golden lacquer of self-love on the broken parts to join them again,
To repair them.
Thus turning breakage into a beautiful art and our heartbreak becomes part of the history of loving.
A heart that beats only for us.
So let's begin this meditation.
It's happy to be in this moment.
It's a delight.
And you are here.
And some of you,
Many of you have a broken heart.
Hearts break for many reasons.
But now today,
Let's give this love.
And I'd like you to first take your hands and place them on your chest.
Just gently on your chest.
And I'd like you to imagine what your heart looks like after it has been broken.
What does it look like?
What is your image of a broken heart?
Is it the red heart with those little cracks in between?
What does a broken heart look like to you?
Is it a lighter color and therefore faded and broken?
As you have your heart over,
Your hands over your heart,
Just tell yourself,
Take your name and say,
It's okay,
I understand.
In Hindi,
We call this Karuna.
It's being gentle with yourself.
It's okay,
I understand.
And as you say,
It's okay,
I understand,
I want you to breathe in nice and deep.
With a sense of compassion towards your current state,
Breathe in nice and deep.
With a sense of compassion towards your current state.
And as you say,
It's okay,
I understand,
Does it feel better in your heart?
Like just a degree or two,
But when you say okay,
One,
You accept the heartbreak.
Two,
You're gentle with yourself.
And remember when we're heartbroken,
It's always good to be gentle with ourselves.
Remember that the crack is part of the history of you.
It's part of the history of you,
But it's not you.
You are much bigger than a broken heart.
It was an event,
It was a circumstance.
And yes,
It did break your heart and your heart was broken.
But today we're going to mend it again with the beautiful golden self-love.
The beautiful golden lacquer of self-love.
So breathing that in nice and deep,
It's okay,
I understand.
It's also okay to feel sad.
A lot of us believe that when we are brokenhearted,
We should party.
It's not good to feel sad.
So today allow yourself the ability,
Allow yourself that moment to feel sad.
It's okay.
And tell yourself,
You can take your name and tell yourself it's okay to feel sad.
Maybe you lost somebody you loved very dearly.
Maybe it was death that took him or her away.
Maybe they went away.
Maybe you lost a kid,
Maybe you lost a partner.
All of us have lost somebody very close.
So let's breathe in nice and deep and just feel that little bit of tinge in our hearts right now.
And as you hold your hand to your heart,
You can actually feel your heart beat as you breathe in nice and deep.
A deep inhale.
And if you hold your breath,
You will feel the heartbeat.
Hold your breath and you will feel your heart beating.
It's that close to your heart.
So breathe it in nice and deep and say,
It's okay to feel sad.
It's okay.
Losing a loved one,
Losing somebody you loved very,
Very dearly is among the hardest things that you've ever done.
It's among the hardest things that you've ever done.
It's okay to feel sad.
I want you to hold yourself very dearly and hold your heart close.
And I want you to breathe in nice and deep.
And if you can,
Just hold your breath for a moment just to feel your heart.
This is the physical heart that you're feeling beating there for you.
Your heart beats for you.
Whether it be cracked or not,
It beats for you.
And today we're going to summon up that beautiful love for self.
The heart that beats for me.
And self-love today comes in the color of a beautiful golden lacquer.
And let's summon it in.
Summon it into ourselves from the top of our heads.
Let's bring that beautiful golden lacquer right down to our heart center.
And slowly feel it seeping into the cracks of your broken heart.
Descending,
It flows down into the cracks in your broken heart.
It's a beautiful golden lacquer.
And it's flowing into your heart area.
It's seeping into those cracks.
Just filling it up.
Just breathe it in nice and deep.
Take a deep breath in.
And if you can,
Hold your breath for as long as you can and just feel your heart beat.
And tell yourself,
I love you.
Tell yourself.
Take your name and tell yourself,
I love you.
So if it's me,
I'm saying Denzel,
I love you.
And breathe in again nice and deep.
Hold your breath and feel your heart beat.
You can feel your physical heartbeat today.
And when you hold your breath,
You're allowing that golden lacquer to repair your heart.
You're allowing that golden lacquer to repair your heart.
With each heartbeat,
It flows into that small crack that was your heartbreak.
It falls into that beautiful crack.
And why I say beautiful is because when your heart repairs again,
When this beautiful golden lacquer of self-love seeps into your heart and repairs your heart,
It will be beautiful again.
So breathe it in nice and deep and allow it to fall into each crack.
Allow this beautiful golden lacquer of self-love to fall into the cracks in your heart.
Recall those cracks.
Recall the heartache.
And allow self-love to fall into that crack of heartbreak.
Breathe it in nice and deep.
And as you breathe in nice and deep,
Tell your heart,
Heart,
I want to love again.
The beautiful golden lacquer of self-love is flowing into your heart,
Healing all of those cracks that must be there with your love for self.
So you breathe in nice and deep.
You hold your breath for as long as you can and feel your heart beat faster.
You hold your breath for as long as you can and feel your heart beat.
And with each heart beat,
That self-love seeps into the crack and heals the crack.
I want to love again.
Tell yourself that.
Take your name.
Tell your heart,
I want to love again.
And you know that your heart loves these words because we all yearn for love.
We all yearn for somebody to love us.
And your heart totally loves these words.
I want to love again.
And slowly that vibrancy of heart is repairing.
Your heart is repairing with self-love.
You're loving yourself back.
You're loving yourself back to normal.
You're loving yourself back to strength.
You're loving yourself back to beauty.
And remember that that crack that was in your heart,
The heartbreak that was in your heart,
Is now part of the history of your heart.
It's part of the history of your heart.
Yes,
Your heart is made up of that crack as well,
But there's so much more to your heart.
So celebrate your love for yourself today.
I love myself.
I love myself.
And this beautiful lacquer of self-love now,
It's like it's coating your heart in gold.
So it's a nice combo of red and gold.
You can see all the cracks,
But now the cracks are filled with gold.
Your heart beats again strongly.
I want to love again.
I want to find love.
I want to be loved.
But first you have to love yourself back.
So put that beautiful golden lacquer into your heart and repair your heart again.
That beautiful golden becomes part of the art of your life.
It becomes part of the art of your heart.
It becomes part of the history of your heart.
Yes,
There was a heartbreak,
But yes,
Today you healed yourself back with this lovely golden lacquer.
It's a delight.
It's happiness.
It's love.
It's self-love.
Breathe that in nice and deep right now.
Breathe it.
And as you walk out of where you are today,
I want you to know that your heart shines brightly.
It's a beautiful red and gold.
It's vibrant.
It's a beautiful red and gold.
And it looks pretty.
And it glows intensely.
And everybody sees your heart shining.
Because gold is something that nobody can miss.
And it's red and gold.
Oh,
Certainly nobody will miss it.
So your heart is beautiful again.
Your heart is loving again.
But it's filled with love for yourself first.
That's what healed all the cracks.
So I love myself first.
And because I'm filled with this beautiful love,
I can offer my love to those who need it.
Because I'm filled with this beautiful love,
I can offer my love to those who need it.
So you're overflowing with love right now.
Breathe that in nice and deep.
You're overflowing with love right now.
It's easy for me to love.
And I feel healed again.
I feel healed again.
And it's easy for me to love.
It's easy for me to trust.
It's easy for me to give.
Because I give without condition.
I give because I want to give.
I give because my heart is overflowing.
Not because I'm counting my love.
I'm not counting my love anymore.
I'm giving it out of my strength.
Out of the strength of self-love that I have today.
That beautiful golden lacquer of self-love is me.
And it shines brightly.
And I give out of my strength.
And I just want you to hold your heart again and breathe in nice and deep and hold it once more.
And as you hear your heartbeat,
As you feel your heartbeat,
You feel that love for yourself.
I love myself.
Just tell yourself that as you breathe in nice and deep,
Hold your heart,
Keep your hand on your heart.
And you can feel that heartbeat.
It goes boom,
Boom,
Boom,
Boom.
You can actually feel it.
When you feel it,
Just tell yourself,
I love myself unconditionally and strongly.
I'm proud.
I'm happy.
I'm loving of myself.
It's most important to be loving of yourself because when you are loving of yourself,
It speaks of your strength.
Breathe that in nice and deep right now.
It's the rhythm of your heart that delights you right now.
It's the rhythm of your heart.
And so many times we don't even hear it.
We don't even take note of it.
Today,
Let's feel our heart beating.
I love you.
I appreciate you.
Today,
I mend you with self-love.
I love you.
I appreciate you.
And today,
I mend you with self-love.
I'm mending you.
You're talking to yourself.
You're talking to your heart.
Breathe that in nice and deep.
Your heart is mending from its heart with the beautiful lacquer of self-love,
That beautiful golden lacquer.
That lovely heart shines within today.
And as you hold your hand to your heart,
You can feel your heart beating.
Quietly,
Just hold it.
And let's hold it for a moment.
And if you want to really feel your heartbeat,
Breathe in nice and deep and hold your breath for as long as you can.
And just feel your heartbeat physically against your hand.
That's you beating for you.
That's you loving you.
That's you in this moment.
It beats vibrantly and powerfully for you every moment of your life.
And you deserve this life.
You deserve the love.
You deserve the love.
I love myself.
I appreciate myself.
I can count on myself.
Just breathe that in nice and deep right now.
Thank you,
Heart,
For that beauty of yourself.
Thank you,
Heart,
For keeping me all these years.
Thank you,
Heart,
For the loveliness of you.
Just breathe that in nice and deep right now.
Breathe it in.
And know that you love yourself today.
Know that you love yourself today over and above everything.
Yes,
There was heartbeat.
But your heartbeat is part of the history of you.
Part of the history of your heart.
And today we're incorporating self-love into it.
The lack of self-love.
To repair any hurt that there might be.
To repair any crack that there might be.
To repair any place that your heart seems faded.
You're injecting the lacquer of self-love into it.
Breathing it in nice and deep.
I love,
Accept,
And cherish myself.
I love,
Accept,
And cherish myself unconditionally.
And with the power of my heart,
With the power of my love,
I reach out to love others I come in contact with.
I choose to love them.
I choose.
Breathing that in nice and deep.
Let's spend a moment in quiet silence.
Just allowing the beauty of this moment to sink in.
We love ourselves.
And we choose to love those around us.
Out of the strength of our heart,
Out of the power of our heart.
Breathing that in nice and deep.
I love myself without condition.
I love myself strongly.
I love myself completely.
I love,
Accept,
And cherish myself just the way I am.
I love,
Accept,
And cherish myself just the way I am.
Just breathe that in nice and deep.
And whenever you be ready,
Rub your hands together.
Place them on your eyes and open your eyes with a smile.

A year ago today my partner broke up with me. I am very sad. Tears are flowing. But Listening to your meditation helped me to feel the love I have for myself. To know that I am important and to never forget that love. I loved the visualization of the golden lacquer of love filling in all the cracks in my heart. I am working on loving and cherishing myself just the way I am. Thank you Denzil. ππ»π
