A reminder of our breath. I rode my bike along Burramoko Ridge in the Blue Mountains which overlooks the Grose Valley. As I sat from the rocky lookout, I felt inspired to do an impromptu recording and share this moment and the birds chimed in towards the end!

Hello and welcome.

I'm coming to you from Darug and Gondunga country.

I'm sitting here at a lookout over the gross valley in the Blue Mountains.

The sun is shining,

Keeping me warm.

I can hear birds in the trees around me and the colours of the rocks around me are lovely pinks and purples and further out to the cliff face there's a bright yellow and orange.

The valley in front is deep and immense and grand.

I invite you now to sit with me for the next five minutes focusing on your breath.

Your breath connects the outside world to your inner world.

Every breath you take brings wellness to your body.

Every exhale helps to release any tension.

Start now with a long and full breath.

Feel it traveling through your nose and down into your body.

These full breaths will go through your body to every cell renewing and restoring.

Feel the air as it travels past your nose.

Feel it awaken your body.

If you wish you can place one or both hands on your belly as part of experiencing your breath.

There is no place to be other than right here.

Allow yourself to enjoy this moment that you have given.

If you wish you can allow a pause between your inhale and exhale.

Allowing your body to slow and your breath to slow.

Giving in to this moment however it is unfolding.

There is no judgment.

These thoughts will come into your mind.

Allow them to go and pass through.

You can bring your awareness back to your breath at any time.

Notice the ease of your breath as it comes in.

Be grateful for your aliveness and your health.

If your mind wanders that's okay.

It's part of the cycle.

Just allow your breath to come to you again.

Your breath will stay with you throughout the day.

It is always there to return to and when you do know that it will help to calm and slow down.

Return to your breath whenever you need to.

They can be full and deep breaths.

They can be slow breaths.

Just enjoy the sensation of the breath traveling through your body.

Each breath is bringing wellness and health to you and every exhale is releasing tension.

You always have time to return to your breath.

Your breath connects you to your inner world.

It allows you to find quietness and stillness.

Take this moment with you now,

This intention to use your breath and to bring your awareness to your breath whenever you need.

Allow yourself to wiggle your fingers and toes and bring yourself back to where you are right now.

Thank yourself for this kindness you have given.

May you weave wonder and grace and gratitude into your day.

Thank you for listening.
