Celtic morning prayer,
Blessings of the new day.
As the sun rises in the east and the light fills the sky,
So too may my spirit rise to greet this day,
Filled with hope,
Strength and peace.
I give thanks for the gift of this new day,
For the breath of life that fills me,
For the earth beneath my feet,
For the sky above me,
Wide and endless,
And for the sacred light that guides my way.
I call upon the spirit of the earth that I may walk with strength and purpose,
Grounded in the wisdom of the ancestors,
Steadfast like the ancient stones,
Rooted like the trees that rise high up to the heavens.
I call upon the spirit of the wind that I may speak with truth and clarity,
That my words be carried on the breeze with kindness,
And my thoughts be as clear as the morning sky.
I call upon the spirit of the water that I may flow through this day with grace,
Cleansed of worry,
Refreshed in spirit,
Like the rivers that wind through the hills of my heart.
I call upon the spirit of the fire that my heart may burn with passion and courage,
That my soul be ignited with purpose,
And my actions shine with the light of love.
O Bridget,
Keeper of the Sacred Flame,
Warm me with your light,
Guide me with your wisdom,
And inspire me with your creativity.
O Lugh,
Lord of the Sun and Master of Skills,
May your strength fill my hands and heart,
That I may face the tasks of this day with confidence,
And bring forth the gifts that are mine to share.
O Manon Maclear,
Lord of the Sea and Keeper of Mysteries,
Grant me peace and patience in the tides of life,
That I may move through the waters of this world with grace and wisdom,
Trusting in the path that unfolds.
May the blessings of the land,
Sea and sky be upon me.
May the wisdom of the ancestors guide me.
May the light of the divine shine through me,
And may this day be filled with peace in all that I do,
In all that I see,
And in all that I am.
I walk in the presence of the sacred,
And carry the light of the divine within me,
This day and always.
