Mindfulness practices designed to enrich your life.
This is the Being Present practice with David Mercado.
Day 9.
Working together.
None of us,
Including me,
Ever do great things.
But we can all do small things,
With great love,
And together we can do something wonderful.
Mother Teresa.
When we're working in a team,
It's easy to put all the responsibility on the team leader.
However,
We are all responsible.
We can hope for our leaders to look after us,
But the reality is that change begins within ourselves.
We need to ask ourselves what is our vision of the future that we can be proud of.
In a world in crisis,
Being united and looking after each other,
It seems to be the best possible way to protect our species.
We can blame the leaders,
We can blame our parents,
And we can blame the world,
The weather,
Or any outside force that has an impact on us.
However,
We are responsible.
Each one of us is responsible for having a positive vision that can change the world.
If we all take responsibility for not just the task at hand,
But also for working closer together,
And creating a positive team environment,
We will experience greater success and find more collaborative ways for working,
And most definitely a better future.
Practice number 9.
Working together.
Number 1.
Make a list of five things you appreciate.
Write a reason why you are grateful.
Number 2.
Look at your list and reread each item again,
And after each item say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
With intense emotion.
Number 3.
Draft what your personal vision for the future is,
And how you can accomplish this working with others.
Number 4.
Identify areas or situations where you have been a good team member in the past,
And say thank you for having done so.
If you identify a situation where you could have been a better team member,
Imagine you are in this situation again,
But now in your head,
Take a different more collaborative approach,
And say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for having done that.
Next time you will make the right choice.
Be well,
Be safe,
And be grateful.
