Mindfulness practices designed to enrich your life.
This is the Being Present practice with David Mercado.
Day 1 Be Grateful What is the first thing you focus on when you wake up?
Is it the weather?
The work you have to do?
Your list of pending things?
The negative thoughts of events that are out of your control?
Have you experienced that after not being able to sleep,
Your morning seems to have gone wrong and one bad incident takes you to another and another,
Having a very difficult frustrating time at the end of the day?
Carrying unhappy feelings through the day brings more unhappy feelings.
Acknowledging that something has gone wrong and giving yourself space can help to focus on what eats good in your life.
It's a funny thing about life.
Once you begin to take a note of the things you are grateful for,
You begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.
Germany can't.
The first thing you could do when you wake up is being grateful about good and simple positive things in your life,
Such as being able to wake up,
Move,
Talk,
Breathe and also for having the opportunity to be able to choose every second of the day how you feel.
Each moment is a new beginning.
Make it a routine and once it becomes a habit,
You will automatically wake up feeling good,
More positive and be able to focus on what is truly important for you.
Practice number one.
Be grateful.
Number one,
Make a list of five things you appreciate.
Consider all positive things situations you might have and decide what is most important to include on the list.
Number two,
Look at your list and re-read each item and after each item say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you with as much intention and emotion as possible.
For example,
I am grateful for the place I live in.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Number three,
If you feel things are not going well in your day,
Stop and take a few minutes to have some space and repeat steps one and two.
The idea is to reset yourself for the day and feel empowered with a positive outlook.
Please share your experience with others and recognize the good around you.
This is the first exercise of our 21 days practice.
By doing one a day,
You eventually will experience a change in the way you think and feel.
If you always do what you've always done,
You always get what you've always gotten.
Jesse Potter,
By taking part in this practice,
You are already making changes in your life,
So embrace the change.
Be well,
Be safe and be grateful.
