Hello,
This is David G and welcome to today's meditation.
Let's find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Get as comfortable as you possibly can.
Gassel in and together let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And let that go.
Let's allow our eyelids to gently float closed and again through our nose take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently surrender it back out.
And follow your breath as it flows into you.
And witness it as it moves back out.
Watch your breathing.
Watch the present moment.
And keep observing your breath as it moves in and as it moves back out.
And you'll notice there's a space between your inhale and your exhale and a space again between your exhale and your next inhale.
Just watch it.
And keep witnessing.
Notice the length of your inhale.
Notice that space.
And then notice the length of your exhale.
Just watch it.
Thoughts may come into your awareness.
There may be sounds in your environment.
You may have some physical sensations.
And then keep coming back to your breathing.
Back to your breath.
Back to the present moment.
There's nowhere else to be.
There's nothing else to do.
Except to be right here.
Right now.
That space between your in and your out is the same space between your out and your next inhale.
This is pure stillness and silence.
It may only last for a millisecond.
But it is not activity.
It is stillness.
Every other moment of your life is filled with some type of activity except when you are aware of that space.
And it only lasts a flicker.
But that is your still point.
That is the space between your thoughts.
The space between your breaths.
The space between your words.
And the space between your actions.
That space is whole.
And perfect.
And pure.
And beneath all your clothes,
Beneath all your skin,
Beneath all your thoughts,
That's who you are.
Pure,
Unbounded consciousness.
The gap.
Continue to breathe and watch your breath.
Continue to witness the activity of your inhale,
The stillness,
And the activity of your exhale and the stillness again.
And then your next inhale.
And now try lengthening your inhales.
If your long,
Slow,
Deep breath lasted three beats,
Make it four.
If it was four,
Make it five.
If it was five,
Make it six.
And let's keep moving it and slowing it.
I'll breathe with you.
I'll breathe with you.
Notice your mind has settled down.
Notice your body is relaxing.
Feel a sense of calm flow through you.
Of tranquility.
Of quietude.
Of space.
Space.
Space.
And now let's take it deeper.
We'll use a mantra.
The Sanskrit word for space,
Akasha.
And the Sanskrit word for the rhythm of the universe.
Ritam.
Akasha.
Ritam.
Akasha.
Ritam.
Akasha.
Ritam.
As you repeat the mantra,
It may change.
It may get faster or slower,
Louder or fainter.
It may even become jumbled or distorted.
However it changes,
Continue to repeat silently.
Akasha.
Ritam.
Over and over.
And when you realize you've drifted away to thoughts or sounds or physical sensations,
Which you will of course,
That's okay.
Ever so gently,
Drift back to akasha.
Ritam.
I'll watch the time and when you hear me ring the chime,
Just sit gently with your eyes closed.
So let's begin.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Akasha.
Ritam.
Sit gently with your eyes closed and let the stillness and silence settle in.
And now let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently let that go.
Let's do the same thing.
Let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And let that go.
Let's do that one more time.
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently release it.
And let's begin.
Our new rhythm.
By chanting the hemp of the universe.
Just one time together,
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Aung.
And when it feels comfortable you can slowly open your eyes.
You can look around at those who you share this collective of consciousness with,
Slowing down into the space between thoughts,
Words,
And actions.
You can place your palms together,
Raise them to your heart,
Bend your head just a little,
And say Namaste.
I bow to you.
I honor the divine light in you that's also in me.
And when you're in that space,
Then I'm in that space.
We are one.
Namaste.
As you move throughout the day,
The week,
The rest of your life,
Know that there is a still point inside you,
That space between all activity,
That pure stillness and silence,
Which is your reminder that you are whole in every moment,
Perfect,
Pure,
And one with the universe.
Aham Brahmasmi,
Baby.
From the sweet spot of the universe,
This is davidji,
And I'll see you in the gap.
