Hello and welcome to this calming meditation.

I'm so incredibly honored to welcome you into this space and before you begin I invite you to find a comfortable position whether that is seated or lying down before we begin.

Easing into the space,

Placing your hands on your lap or beside you and gently closing your eyes when you feel ready to do so and we're gonna take three deep inhales through the nose and out through the mouth.

Inhale and exhale.

One more time inhale and exhale.

Now allowing your breath to settle into its natural rhythm,

Noticing where you can feel your breath the most.

Maybe it's your tummy rising and falling.

Maybe it's your chest and your shoulders moving up and down as you breathe or maybe you're simply noticing the cold air moving in through your nostrils and the warm air that's moving out.

And as you observe this process we're not trying to change or alter anything.

We're not aiming for any perfection in this space.

We're simply giving ourselves some time to be,

To be with this effortless process that our body goes through,

Fueling our bodies with life and we do not have to do anything.

It's already taken care of and if your mind wanders that's okay.

Just very gently you bring it back to the breath.

You do not have to be anywhere or do anything.

Simply allow yourself to be in this very moment as you stop and really notice your body,

Your breath and this very present moment.

If it helps and if it feels comfortable for you placing a hand on your tummy and another on your heart space and reconnecting with the movement of your body as you breathe.

And very gently bringing your attention into your heart space.

Noticing what the palm of your hand feels like on your skin or the texture of your shirt.

Notice if the palm of your hand is warm or cold and then begin to notice your heartbeat.

We're simply your breath as you keep breathing,

Asking yourself,

Asking your heart space,

How am I feeling today?

And allowing honest emotions,

Sensations or thoughts to come through.

Reminding your body that it is safe to feel,

That it is safe to acknowledge what is there.

Acknowledging without letting it define you,

Without letting it define your day.

And as you bring your attention back into the heart space,

Asking yourself,

What do I need today?

What do I need today?

And once more letting any guidance,

Anything that's there for you to come through.

And as you return your attention to the breath,

Very gently taking a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to check in,

For really allowing yourself to have some space to simply be.

Now,

Bring your attention back to the room.

Notice where your body meets the surface.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently open your eyes when you feel ready.

And I hope that you carry this lightness into your day.
