Brahma Vihara for the Self.
This beautiful ancient practice is a practice of self-healing.
It's in an ancient mechanism through visualization and breath that we open a healing channel to our self.
By generating a visualization whereby we can transfer the Brahma Vihara blessings to an aspect of our self.
They are seeded within us.
Their potential becomes apparent and the four immeasurables of freedom become experienced.
Sympathetic joy and loving kindness,
Compassion and equanimity.
This beautiful practice of Brahma Vihara enables an embodiment of the four immeasurables.
And so settle yourself into your meditation posture.
This is a beautiful practice experience lying down.
Where you can be standing,
Where you can be seated.
But ensure your body feels well and aligned.
Closing your eyes now come into your breath and there's no need to change your natural breath in any way.
But breathe with it.
As you inhale engage in the inhalation and as you release the breath engage in the release of that breath.
Allow your breath to guide you in.
And now in your inner vision raise within your awareness your presence on a beautiful wild beach.
It's pristine.
In harmony.
Creatures and elements spiraling under the sun.
This is your wild inner place.
So spend some time on the shoreline.
The sea before you is alive and scented.
The humming in your spirit is being called out around you through the birds.
You've come here to heal.
And now down the length of the beach far off in the distance you can perceive a figure walking towards you.
You turn your body and watch them as they track along the shoreline between the wet and the dry sand.
They see you.
They start to quicken their step.
And as this figure comes into focus you can see that it's you.
Allow them to step close and reach out your hands.
Take their hands in yours.
And take a moment to observe how you're presenting in this vision.
What are you wearing?
How does your hair fall around your face?
What's the look in your eyes?
Are you standing tall?
Or are you carrying a weight?
Just softly gaze at yourself.
Look down at your feet.
See them in front of yours in the sand.
And now with all of the space and power of your divine heart bless yourself with Brahma Vahara.
Look into your eyes and repeat the blessing.
May your good fortune increase.
May you be happy.
May you be free from all fear and all shame.
From all attachments and all aversions.
And may you fully awaken and be free.
And feel the blessing of Brahma Vahara extending from your heart down your arms.
And see it being received in full by you.
And when the blessing feels complete,
Watch as you turn with a smile and gently make your way back down to the end of the beach.
Walking differently tall,
The free swing in the arms,
The breeze in your hair.
And watch as this worldly aspect of you now returns to where they belong in the time and space track of your life.
And turn once again out to the sea,
To the sky.
And gently breathe now with the breath of the ocean and the planet.
And the remnant vibration of one of the world's most beautiful blessings.
Www.
Mooji.
