Welcome to this slowness meditation,
A gentle return to your own rhythm.
Now close your eyes and take a moment to arrive.
Feel the weight of your body,
The quiet shifts of your breath,
The way the ground receives you without asking anything in return.
Let one long inhale come into your body,
And one long exhale leave your body.
Then another.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to loosen,
Your belly to expand without effort.
Bring your awareness to the simple rhythm of your breath.
Inhale.
Feel space again.
Exhale.
Feel your body settle.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to push,
Nothing to keep up with.
Now imagine a warm light resting at the center of your chest.
Just a gentle glow.
With each inhale,
It brightens slightly.
With each exhale,
It steadies.
This is the rhythm that belongs to you,
To the one that has been waiting beneath all the rush.
Let your breath move at the pace of that light.
Unhurried.
Present.
Now bring your attention to your heart.
And whisper slightly,
Or out loud.
Feel whatever arises.
Warmth.
Ease.
Now bring your awareness down to your belly.
Place a hand there if you like.
And let your breath soften this space.
No forcing.
Just presence.
Slowness begins here.
In this place is we stop abandoning ourselves.
Imagine roots growing from the base of your spine down into the earth.
Slow,
Steady roots that anchor you in this moment.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel the steadiness returning.
You don't need to outrun anything.
You don't need to earn rest.
You're allowing yourself to move at the rhythm of your own pace.
Now take three slow,
Intentional breaths.
With each inhale,
Feel your body expand.
And with each exhale,
Feel your body release.
Allowing yourself to come into the space of this slow,
Intentional living.
Giving yourself full permission to be here in this moment.
What does it feel like to give yourself this space?
To return back to this rhythm.
Even for a moment.
You're doing so good.
Now connecting back to your breath.
Gently returning to the space around you.
Wiggling your fingers.
I'm taking one final deep breath in.
Placing your hands on your heart and whispering.
I choose slowness.
I choose presence.
I choose myself.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Moving softly back into your day.
Remembering to carry this pace with you.
