Welcome to Energy Boosting Meditation.
I'm Danielle and I'll be guiding you through your meditation practice today.
Often when we feel tired,
Our body is sending us a signal to rest.
So when we do this,
Coupled with conscious breathing and mindfulness,
We can notice meaningful shifts in the way we feel.
So let's get to today's meditation.
Start by finding a comfortable meditation seat.
Sitting up tall through your spine as if a string is attached to the top of your head,
Drawing it closer and closer to the ceiling.
And as you breathe in these first conscious breaths,
Imagine that they travel up through each vertebrae in your spine to encourage length,
Allowing you to sit up a little taller with each breath you take.
As part of today's meditation,
I invite you to take prana mudra.
And if you aren't familiar with mudras,
They are sacred hand gestures used to bring a specific energetic quality to your yoga or meditation practice.
If you are choosing to take this mudra today,
You can do so by bringing your thumb,
Pinky and ring finger together and allowing your index and middle fingers to remain straight and glued together.
It almost looks like you are making a little bunny rabbit with your fingers.
This is a wonderful mudra to encourage the flow of prana or energy throughout the body.
And once you find the mudra with your hands,
Keeping the shape,
You can bring your hands down to your lap and let them rest as comfortably as possible there.
If you don't feel like taking this mudra today,
That's also perfectly fine.
You can just rest your hands on your lap anywhere that feels comfortable for you.
You will still get the same benefits out of your practice today,
Whether you choose to take the mudra or not.
So once you've settled into your seat and chosen your hand gesture,
Begin to become aware of your physical body.
Start by just noticing any sensations that you may be feeling.
As you begin to scan through your body from the crown of your head all the way to the tips of your toes,
Begin to notice any areas that may feel heavy or worn down.
As you scan through,
Notice areas that feel light and energized.
Bring your awareness to spaces in your body that feel warm and also to those that feel cool.
Just take the next few moments to observe and become aware of the way that you are feeling today.
Notice your ability to move back and forth between multiple sensations.
Heaviness.
Light.
Warmth.
Cool.
Notice what your hands feel like.
Bringing particular attention to your palms.
Our palms are linked to our heart chakra,
To our space of love and compassion.
So notice if you're feeling any tingling,
Any energy in your palms at this time.
And if you've chosen to take that mudra today,
Maybe you also bring your attention to each finger on your hand and notice what this mudra feels like for you.
Become aware of all of the sensations in your physical body without judgment.
Just taking note,
Just being present.
From here,
Begin to shift your awareness to your breath.
Notice the way that your breath is flowing through you in this moment.
Become conscious of each inhale and each exhale and see if you can invite in a little more ease with each breath you take.
As you begin to connect with your breath,
Allow your exhales to be an opportunity to release and let go of anything that is not serving you.
Allowing each inhale to bring you back into this present moment,
Into a space of gratitude,
Love and compassion.
Allowing each inhale to bring you back into this present moment,
Into a space of gratitude,
Love and compassion.
From here,
Begin to imagine yourself in a peaceful and calm space in nature.
Whatever that looks like for you,
Maybe that's standing on top of a mountain,
Sitting by a beautiful waterfall or resting in a large pasture of grass.
As you arrive in this peaceful and calm space,
Note that you are surrounded by infinite amounts of life,
Prana and energy resonating at its highest vibration.
As you settle into this serene space,
Feel the tension in your body melt away.
Release anything you may be holding onto in your facial muscles,
Your neck,
Your shoulders and anywhere else in your body that may be tight or tense.
Bring your physical body into a peaceful and calm place.
As your physical body begins to settle here,
Allow your breath to begin to recalibrate.
Invite it to come back to its resting pace,
A pace that is perfectly aligned with nature,
A pace that is perfect just as it is without trying to modify or change anything.
With each breath that you take,
Invite in a little bit more ease.
The ease of simply being just the way you are.
With each inhale,
Visualize yourself taking an energy from all around you.
As you take fresh breaths of air into your body,
Feel the exchange of energy happening within you.
Feel the energy entering each organ through your skin and each system through your lungs.
As you exhale,
Continue to release whatever is depleting you,
Trusting that the earth,
The space around you will support you with the release.
Allow your entire body to breathe,
To replenish and energize.
Just spend the next few moments here breathing like this,
Taking in as much energy as you need from this space of perfect peace and joy.
And if at any time your mind wanders,
Just gently draw it back to the breath without judgment.
Allow the next few moments to be recharging,
To be just for you.
As your breath becomes company and you break in the knees,
Start to recognize the UFOs worldwide that opened up your tracks and within your brain.
You you you you you you taking in the last three breaths here allowing those breaths to be exactly what you need them to be once you've taken those three deep nourishing breaths allow yourself to return to the space that you are in taking a moment here to notice how you feel in your body your breath and your mind as you begin to bring some gentle movement in through your fingers and your toes maybe you even begin to stretch or gently move your body beginning to feel how this new energy is moving through you and further allowing anything that is stale or stuck to be released to close our practice together I invite you to place your hands on your heart take a moment to express gratitude to yourself for making the time to practice today for listening to your body and moving and breathing in a way that is in tune with exactly what you need thank you so much for meditating with me today may you be happy may you be healthy and may you be energized and at peace Namaste
