Take a moment to pause.
Find a comfortable seat and close your eyes.
Begin to take some deeper breaths.
And as you breathe,
Release any tension from your body.
Breathing in through your nose.
And exhaling slowly out of your mouth.
And again,
Deep cleansing breath in.
Holding for a moment at the top.
And then open your mouth and slowly exhale twice as long out the mouth.
One more clearing,
Cleansing breath through your nose.
And slowly exhaling out the mouth,
Letting something go.
Now let your breath return to natural.
And imagine a golden light washing over you.
Starting at the top of your head.
And slowly moving down your body.
Relaxing your forehead.
Your job.
Softening your eyes.
Moving down your throat,
Your neck.
Your shoulders.
Releasing any tension from the day.
Relaxing your arms,
Your hands.
And then seeing that golden light moving down your chest.
Down through your torso.
Down through your belly and hips.
And spreading that relaxation down through your legs.
Shins and down to your feet.
Letting all the stress and tension from your day simply melt to the ground.
With each breath,
Feel yourself returning to the present moment.
Feeling what is present right here and right now.
There's nothing you need to do.
There's nowhere you need to be.
Just here.
Breathing.
Now in your mind's eye,
Picture a door.
On one side of the door is your workday.
All the tasks,
Conversations,
Responsibilities you carry in your life.
Now imagine gently closing that door behind you.
Hear that satisfying click of it shedding.
You are now stepping into a new space.
A space of home.
Connection.
Rest and renewal.
So take a few more deep,
Slow breaths.
Letting anything else go that you need to release from your day from your mind.
With each inhale inviting an ease and calm.
With each exhale,
Releasing any remaining weight from your day.
And then when you feel ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Maybe move or stretch.
Open your eyes.
Ready to arrive.
To the next chapter of your day.
Welcome home.
