If you're feeling anxious right now.
Or maybe if you're feeling overwhelmed with stress.
Please know that you don't need to be a victim of your mind.
The mind can be.
Redirected to other states.
It can be tamed.
So if you're feeling like that right now,
I'd like to show you what Buddhism has to offer to help with that.
Wherever you're sitting,
Please straighten your back.
And start relaxing it,
Beginning from the heart.
Lower back.
Following each vertebra all the way up to the top of your head.
And notice how your body relaxes.
Until you almost feel like you're hanging off a thread.
Your entire body is relaxed.
Your shoulders.
Your lower back.
Relax.
Now try to notice your body as you're sitting there Find in your awareness.
The top of your head.
Skin on your head.
Your ears.
Over down to the back of your neck.
Face else Notice your shoulders.
Notice your chest.
Pumps full of air.
Notice your arms,
Your back.
Notice your hands.
That is your stomach and belly.
Move on to your buttocks.
Calves,
Feet.
Now take a deep breath through your nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
Do it again,
A couple of times.
As you're inhaling through your nose.
And then exhaling through your nose as well.
Try to follow the breath as it travels through the body.
Notice how it feels.
At the tip of your nose.
Notice how it spreads around your body.
Teaching everywhere.
Notice how it inflates your chest.
What does it feel like?
Is it a long breath or is it a short breath?
Does it feel warm or does it feel cool?
Is it dense or is it light?
You don't need to do anything to control it,
Just.
.
.
Be aware of it.
Follow it.
Allow it to travel as it pleases.
Wants to.
Allow it to fill your body.
Everywhere.
Try to stay with your breath.
For a few minutes.
You don't need to chase it.
And if the mind wanders from the breath,
Just return.
Try that again.
Notice it.
Of knowledge.
Just keep doing this for a few minutes.
And return to doing this.
You don't need too much time.
Sometimes with two,
Three minutes.
You're probably able to calm down a little bit.
Recenter.
And be able to think clear.
So keep practicing like this.
