The Heart Sutra is "the single most commonly recited, copied and studied scripture in East Asian Buddhism¨. In temples, zendos and private homes around the world, its words are being repeated over and over again in different styles, rhythms and languages. This version is a traditional style chanting of The Heart Sutra, accompanied, as it is common in Zen temples, by the mokugyo (a wooden instrument shaped like two fish) and a bell.
