Hello and welcome.

Today's session is being recorded on the Summer Solstice,

North America,

June 2021.

Although this is being recorded on this day,

You can do this session anytime.

Today we will go through a grounding meditation through the chakras using Reiki Earth Energy.

And then we will do a yoga nidra session,

Which will allow you to relax and enjoy your evening.

Please find a comfortable seat wherever you are.

You can be seated or lying down for this.

And so the first thing we are going to do is a bit more ritualistic and we will bring in Reiki using the Reiki symbols.

You do not have to know the symbols.

I will explain them to you.

But if you are a Reiki practitioner and would like to do them with me,

Feel free to do so.

The first one we tend to use is called the Choku Rei symbol.

This is a Reiki power symbol and it means replacing all of the powers of the universe here.

The second symbol is the Sei Hei Ki symbol.

This is for emotional and mental healing.

It also means God and man become one.

The next symbol is the Hansha Ze Shonen.

This is for distance healing.

This will allow us to send healing energy out to each other through great distances,

Through time,

Through space.

This symbol and the next one are both in the Japanese Kanji.

They are in the Japanese alphabet.

At the distance healing symbol means having no present,

Past or future.

We think about time as being connected through all points of space.

We can think about how we send energy to each other and to ourselves.

You can send energy to your past.

You can send energy to your future.

If you listen to this recording at a future point,

Hopefully you will find some relief and healing here as well.

The last symbol is the Dicomio.

This symbol means great enlightenment.

It is the master symbol.

And while there are several different versions of it,

I like using an older version that is in the Japanese Kanji.

If you found yourself in an easy seated posture or you're lying down,

Take a moment.

Maybe start to breathe here.

Deepen the breath.

Find yourself relaxing.

You can deepen the breath a few more times.

If you can,

In and out through the nose will help relax you.

You can also breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

You can start to visualize your roots,

Your energetic roots coming from your body,

Making their way down through the ground.

So where I am here in West Texas,

Land that belonged to the Comanche,

The land I am on is very red and dusty.

Since it's summertime now,

It's also very dry.

There are many different layers.

So I like to take my time here and recognize the different layers and recognize the people that used to walk this land.

If you know the indigenous peoples who have walked your land,

I highly encourage you to honor them at this time as well.

As we grow our energetic roots down into the ground,

We want to send them to the center of the earth.

The center of the earth has a ball of energy,

Light,

Warmth,

Feelings of nourishment,

Refreshment.

When you're ready,

If you've grown your roots down into the ground,

Taking your time,

Growing them not only down but outward,

Find yourself connecting to that ball of light,

Energy and warmth,

The center of the earth.

Once you've connected to it,

Sit with that connection for a moment and then start to bring that energy back up.

Up through those roots,

We've connected to the ground.

We've connected to this earth energy,

The center of the earth.

Bringing it back up through our energetic roots,

Taking our time perhaps.

You can imagine this as light coming up the roots.

You can imagine it as droplets of water,

Like nourishing a plant.

However you imagine this,

Allow it to travel back upwards towards you and your body.

And when you're ready,

You can bring that energy into the body.

If you grew your roots through your feet,

Bring that energy up through the feet,

Through the legs.

We'll start with our shins and calves,

To our knees,

Our thighs,

Our quads,

Our sits bones,

All the way up to our root chakra,

Which is located at the base of the spine.

Now this root chakra tends to be depicted as a red color.

And this red color can be cardinal or ruby,

Wine or cherry,

Roses.

Take a few moments here and decide what color red is available to you here and illuminate that chakra with that nourishing energy we just brought up from the center of the earth.

If this becomes an issue you can't see light here,

Perhaps imagining a lotus flower at each of your chakras can help with that imagination.

As we shine that light forward,

See if you can shine it back,

Side to side and up and down along the central energy channel of the body.

This root chakra is in charge of grounding us,

Feelings of safety and security.

Check in with yourself and see how you feel here.

And when you're ready,

Bring that energy up to the sacrum,

Our sacral chakra,

Located at the juncture of the thighs,

The pelvis,

Our sacrum.

Our sacral chakra tends to be depicted as a orange color.

This orange color can be coral or carrot,

Pumpkin or apricot.

Take a moment or two.

See if you can shine a nice orange light here.

As you shine that light,

See if you can shine it back,

Shine it forward,

Side to side and up and down along the central channel of the body.

Our sacral chakra is in charge of our sexuality and sensuality,

As well as our creativity.

When you're ready,

Bring that energy up just a little bit more to our solar plexus chakra.

Our solar plexus chakra is in charge of our self-confidence,

Strength.

You can take a moment or two here.

You can also place one hand on the belly or both hands on the belly.

It's located right above the belly button.

Our solar plexus chakra tends to be depicted as a yellow color.

This yellow color can be lemon or saffron,

The color of the sunshine on a bright sunny day,

Sunflowers and daffodils,

Mustard yellow.

What color of yellow comes to mind for you here?

And then see if you can allow that light to shine.

As you shine it forward,

See if you can shine it back,

Side to side and up and down along the central channel of the body.

If you want to,

You can keep both hands here.

You can keep one hand on the belly,

One hand on the heart.

As we bring that energy up with an inhale to our heart chakra,

We want to remind ourselves that we cannot be strong without love,

Compassion for ourselves and for our fellow humans.

Our heart chakra tends to be depicted as a green color.

So as one hand is on the belly and one hand is on the heart,

This can help with anxiety.

You can keep both hands in this position if you would like.

If you want to work on self compassion,

You can place both hands over the heart.

This green color can be pine or fir,

Malachite or jade,

Bright lime green.

Whatever green color here comes to mind for you.

See if you can allow that light to shine here.

As we shine it forward,

Make sure we shine it back and side to side and up and down along the central channel of the body.

Again,

You can leave your hands here for the rest of the session.

As we bring that energy up to our throat chakra.

Our throat chakra in the Reiki system tends to be depicted as a light blue color.

If you imagine a darker blue color here that's perfectly okay.

This blue color can be komalt or sapphire,

Turquoise,

Blueberry,

Indigo,

Cerulean.

Many different shades of blue.

Whatever one comes to mind for you here,

Allow it to shine.

And just as we brought strength into our heart,

So we can be strong with love,

We remind ourselves as we bring that energy into our throat chakra.

That we want to be able to communicate with love.

So our throat chakra is in charge of our communication,

Which includes all forms of communication.

Typing,

Writing,

Hand gestures,

Facial expressions,

As well as voice speaking.

See if you can allow this blue color here to shine as we shine it forward and back,

Side to side,

And up and down along that central channel of the body.

Keeping an eye on the breath,

Maybe on your next inhale,

Moving that energy up to the third eye chakra.

Our third eye chakra in Reiki is depicted as a purple color,

In particular a lighter purple.

I prefer lavender or lilac,

Maybe a light amethyst color.

But you may also imagine a darker color here,

Plum or violet,

Mulberry or orchid.

So whatever purple color here comes to mind for you,

If you can allow that light to shine here.

Again,

That's one third of the way up the forehead.

You can place one hand at the forehead and one hand covering the back of the head as well.

This can help calm anxieties and tensions.

And as we shine that light forward,

See if we can shine it back,

Side to side and up and down along the central channel of the body.

As we bring that light,

Energy,

Warmth,

Love,

Nourishment,

We've brought through the center of the earth,

Through our central energy system,

Through our chakras,

Illuminating them all the way up.

Now we can illuminate our crown chakra as well.

Our crown chakra in Reiki is depicted as a white color.

This is because this is our universal connection point.

It allows us to plug into that universal energy of Reiki through the top of our heads.

I also like to enjoy imagining a thousand petal lotus at the top of my head.

This thousand petal lotus has energy points coming out through each of the lotus flower petals.

These energy filaments then connect to other energies in the universe.

And then through the center of that lotus comes the Reiki energy.

You can imagine that energy as moon energy,

As sun energy.

You can imagine it as white light energy.

See if you can allow that chakra to shine and see if you can connect to that universal energy here.

And then when you're ready,

See what it feels like to circulate these energies.

As we brought that grounding energy up,

Maybe we bring that up one side of our energy system.

And then coming down through the other side is the universal Reiki energy.

Grounding energy up one side,

Nourishing us.

Reiki energy coming down the other side,

Healing us.

Take a few moments here to breathe.

Enjoying the sensations of these energies.

We're now connected to the earth,

Connected to the universe.

We're going to come into our yoga nidra session at this point.

So if you need to readjust yourself,

Find yourself in a lying down position,

Go ahead and do so.

Feel free to pause if you need to.

As we work into the yoga nidra,

You can think of this in a couple of ways.

You can treat this as a normal yoga nidra session where you're just bringing attention to each of your body parts as we go through this.

You can also imagine Reiki energy touching each of these parts as well.

So now we are coming into yoga nidra.

Bring your attention to the top of the head.

To the forehead.

Left eyebrow.

Right eyebrow.

Left eye.

Right eye.

The nose and the tip of the nose.

Both cheekbones.

Both cheeks.

The left ear.

The right ear.

The mouth.

Lips.

Tongue.

And teeth.

The neck.

The back of the neck.

The throat.

The left shoulder.

The right thumb.

First finger.

Second finger.

Third finger.

The whole hand.

The shoulder blades.

The spine.

The back rib cage.

The back.

The front rib cage.

The torso.

Tummy.

Waist.

Hips.

Pelvis.

And sitz bones.

The left thigh.

Left quad.

The left knee.

Back of the knee.

The shin.

The calf muscle.

The ankle.

The left heel.

Bottom of the foot.

Top of the foot.

The left big toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

And fifth toe.

The whole of the foot.

And the whole of the leg.

Right thigh.

Right knee.

The back of the knee.

The shin.

The calf muscle.

The ankle.

The heel.

The bottom of the foot.

The top of the foot.

Right big toe.

Right second toe.

Right third toe.

Right fourth toe.

Right fifth toe.

The whole of the foot.

The whole of the leg.

The whole front body.

The whole back body.

The whole body together as one system.

When you're ready,

You can start to come out of yoga nidra.

Wiggle your fingers.

Wiggle your toes.

Take a moment here or two.

Send some gratefulness to yourself.

For carving out this space today.

I hope this meditation has found you doing well.

I hope you listen again soon.

Take care of yourself.

And you're almost there.
