Hello,
Welcome to today's Reiki meditation.
Today's meditation is taking place on the new moon on Earth Day.
Earth Day is the day that most of the world celebrates our mother,
The place in which we live.
As coronavirus has shut down many of our countries,
Making it impossible to gather and celebrate,
We will be doing a distance Reiki healing during this time.
Because of the new moon,
It's also perfect for setting environmental healing intentions for the next month or year.
So take a few moments to gather some items.
Maybe you want a paper or a pencil,
Pen,
To write out a few intentions for the coming month or year.
Feel free to pause the recording here if you would like to do so.
Go ahead and find a place where you can comfortably sit and start to center yourself.
Breathe deeply.
Inhale.
Three,
Four,
Five.
Pause.
Exhale.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Inhale.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Pause.
Exhale.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
If you grab the piece of paper and pencil,
Write a few environmental intentions for this month.
What can you do to make the earth a better place to live,
To breathe,
To be in?
It can be something little,
Like if you see some trash on the ground,
You pick it up.
Or it can be something bigger,
Like participating in a march when we're allowed to gather again.
Or it can be something else.
Whatever comes to mind for you.
But recognize that all life is beautiful,
That we are all connected on this earth,
And that all energy flows from and around the earth that we live upon.
The earth is our mother,
And we should take care of her.
You may pause the meditation at this time if you would like more time to write your intentions down.
But we will be going forward with the meditation at this time.
I will be bringing in reiki distance healing and bringing awareness to your body while I send this out.
While you continue to breathe in and breathe out,
I'm going to make the reiki symbols.
I am now making the reiki symbol for power.
The choko rei symbol helps to draw on the energy in the world around us and focus it on where we want it to go.
I am now making the sei hei ki symbol for mental protection and cleansing.
I am now making the distance healing symbol,
And it is used to send reiki over distances and time,
As in past,
Present,
Or future,
To anyone and to anything.
I am also using the balance symbol to ground and balance our energy and to unblock any energy problems.
So while we are sitting in our meditative position,
Start to feel into your root chakra,
The chakra that is at the base of your spine.
This chakra is associated with the color red and with the earth element.
Start to feel your connectedness to the earth here.
Perhaps you want to imagine a root of energy growing out of your spine,
Connecting with the earth.
We can connect through the earth's crust to the other living beings on the surface,
To the trees,
To the people,
To the animals.
We can also draw this root down further,
All the way to the core of the earth.
You can bring some of the earth's energy up through that cord,
Breathing deeply and meditatively.
Feel and release that which is not serving you.
When you do this,
The energy will be released back into reiki energy and will be converted to the best of all.
Breathe like this for a few moments.
Feel the earth.
You are a part of it.
Like every other being.
Like the ants that scurry around,
Hurrying from place to place.
Like the pets you might have at home,
Or the animals in the park.
Perhaps the elephants and tigers you may see in the wild.
We are all connected.
So start with some awareness at the top of your head.
And feel the energy that gathers there.
Breathe into it and breathe it out along the spine,
Back into the earth.
Remembering that we are all connected.
You may notice the point at the eyes,
In your third eye.
Breathe into that and exhale back into the earth.
Notice your ears,
Your eyes,
Your nose,
Your mouth,
The lips,
Your teeth.
That's the whole of your head.
Notice your throat and the neck.
And perhaps your collarbones.
Feel how your collarbones are connected to your shoulders and your arms.
What do you notice in your right shoulder?
Your left shoulder.
Your middle back.
Your low back.
Bringing the energy to the whole of your back.
What about your arms?
Your right arm?
Your right forearm?
Your right hand?
Your right thumb?
First finger?
Second finger?
Third finger?
Fourth finger?
The whole of the arm.
The whole of your hand.
The left arm.
Left forearm.
Left thumb?
The left first finger?
Second finger?
Third finger?
Fourth finger?
The whole left arm.
Bring the energy to the front of your body.
Notice your chest.
Your belly.
And when you breathe,
You inhale and expand and exhale and contract.
Notice the belly and how it rises and falls with each breath.
And that you breathe with the earth and all living beings.
Notice your hips as you sit in this meditative pose.
Notice your sits bones.
The back of your legs.
And the front of your legs.
Your thighs.
Right thigh.
The right quad.
The left thigh.
The left quad.
Notice your shins.
Your right shin.
Your left shin.
Your right calf muscle.
Your left calf muscle.
Notice the whole of your legs.
Feel your legs beneath you.
Whether you attach to your feet.
You can feel your ankles.
The heel of your feet.
The tops of your feet.
The bottoms of your feet.
Bring awareness to your toes.
Maybe wiggle the toes.
If you're in a position to do so,
Dig them into the ground if you are able to.
You are connected to this earth through your body,
Through your breath,
And through your spirit.
Use the Reiki energy.
Notice how this energy flows into you and you into it.
Breathe.
Inhale.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Exhale.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Inhale.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Exhale.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
It is time to end this practice.
I would like to thank you for sharing this space with me today.
And thank you for working with the earth and with Reiki energy on today's Earth Day.
Namaste.
