Hello,
My name is Laura and I'm so happy to be sharing this moment with you.
This meditation focuses on easing into a change of season.
This can be a change in the time of year,
A change in your life,
Or even your perspective.
You may be experiencing an excitement or a charge of energy to go robustly forward into this new season,
Or you may be resisting,
Feeling a clinging to what is more familiar and current.
Either way,
The change will come,
And our best way to ease into its transition is to stay rooted in the present,
Recognizing how we feel and embracing whatever stage this change is in,
Influencing it where we can,
And surrendering to what is true as it is.
Let's begin.
I invite you to close your eyes,
And gently soften your gaze,
Settling into your body,
Bringing your attention to the breath,
And taking a deep breath in.
With the exhale,
Letting go of any thoughts that may be wandering through your mind,
Allowing them to float away.
And on the next inhale,
Bringing your awareness to your physical being,
Noticing any sensations,
Any tightness or discomfort.
And with the exhale,
Letting it go,
And settling deeper into your body,
Into relaxation,
Into stillness.
And continuing with the natural rhythm of your breath,
Steadying your focus on your awareness,
Being present to your body,
To your mind,
Not as a participant,
But as the observer,
And feeling what it's like to surrender into this moment.
There's nothing to fix,
Nothing to change.
Everything is as it is,
And as it should be right now.
And now bringing your attention to the change you may be experiencing at this time.
Maybe it's the natural change of the seasons,
Or change in your physical being,
Maybe your career.
Noticing how you feel when you think of this change.
Are you excited,
Ready for it to happen right now?
Maybe even trying to push it along a little faster than is possible?
Or maybe you feel nervous,
Unsure of what will come next,
And feeling a strong pull to stay put.
What is the natural energy you feel coming with this change?
And allow yourself,
As the observer,
To relax deeper into this awareness,
Into this moment,
Allowing the sensations to be whatever they are,
Allowing the feelings to be whatever they are,
And allowing the change to come,
Whatever it may be.
Surrendering into what is.
Change can be exciting,
But it can also bring discomfort.
Allow yourself to flow freely into this next season,
Believing that you,
Like all beings that follow the laws of nature,
Will instinctually know what to do.
Do not try to force or resist what is.
Just allow it to be.
Allow yourself to be,
And embrace all the good and wonder this change will bring,
Even if it's difficult to imagine in this moment.
I'll give you a few more minutes to explore your body,
Explore your thoughts and your feelings.
Remember you always have the breath to come back to.
It is your foundation in the present,
Always constant,
Always ready to hold you in whatever space you need.
I'm bringing your awareness back to my voice,
Back to the space around you,
Back to your breath.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
I hope this meditation has brought a sense of ease and welcoming to whatever change you may be experiencing in this present moment.
I appreciate you and your willingness to show up and your dedication to cultivating your wellness.
Bye for now.
