Merry Meet.
Welcome to Magical Minutes,
A series of short talks on topics of interest to Wiccans,
Pagans,
And Witches.
Whether you are new to the craft,
An experienced practitioner,
Or simply curious about nature-based spiritualities,
All are welcome and honored here.
Let's spend a few Magical Minutes together.
In this episode,
We'll be taking a look at moon water.
Collecting moon water can be beneficial to any magical or spiritual practice.
Some choose to collect it during specific phases,
The full moon being one of the most popular.
To make moon water,
Choose a jar or bottle of fairly thick glass.
Cleanse the vessel with incense or sage smoke before using it.
Fill the vessel with water,
Seal it,
And place it under direct moonlight if you are able.
Putting it just below a window is fine,
Especially if you have inclement weather or nosy neighbors.
Set your intentions.
Once you have everything ready,
Raise your open palms to the moon,
And use an invocation such as this one.
By many names,
You are known.
Silver Goddess,
Mother of All Creation,
Guardian of Nature,
Protector of the Wicca,
Mother Moon,
In your beauty and elegance,
Guide and watch over me as you do the tides.
Bless this water with your energy,
For my highest good,
And to the harm of none.
So mote it be.
Some practitioners will add crystals,
Herbs,
Or flowers to their moon water,
Depending on their tradition or intentions.
I usually allow mine to charge for one to two hours.
Once the water has been charged,
Store it in a cool,
Dry place,
Away from sunlight.
This water is not intended for consumption.
If you want to have moon water for drinking,
Use sealed bottles of drinking water instead,
And don't infuse it with herbs or crystals,
Unless you are absolutely sure that they are safe.
Moon water can be used for washing your altar,
Crystals,
And ritual tools.
I add it to a spray bottle or mop bucket with an essential oil for energetic cleansing.
It's also great for watering plants.
Thank you for joining me for this episode of Magical Minutes.
May you walk in love and light,
And may all your days be filled with magic.
Blessed Be.
