Let's meditate.
Thank you so much for joining me this morning.
If you haven't done so already.
Get yourself into a comfortable seated position.
Something that feels good for you.
Something that feels stress-free.
Because we don't need to stress while we're meditating.
Let's take a nice big,
Deep breath.
I don't know if you've noticed that I do that,
But take a nice big,
Deep breath.
The breath allows you to change your energy and your mood.
It's a reset button.
Almost.
Taking a big deep breath,
I can switch into a different mode,
Right?
So when you take a nice big deep breath at the beginning of your meditation,
It's telling your body.
It's telling your brain.
Oh,
Okay.
Switching gears,
It's time to meditate.
It's time to relax into a different mode.
So with that nice big deep breath,
Then afterwards find a long,
Slow,
Relaxing pace.
With your breath,
Something that feels nice for you.
I've got dogs and I've got machinery and I've got all sorts of stuff going on outside today,
So please forgive me if you can hear all that.
But it's a good test also.
Just let go of the background noise.
Be here with me.
Be with your breath.
And start to zone in even more to your breath.
So let go of the noises around you.
Let go of wherever you're at with your day.
Let go of all of it if you can and come into this tiny little bubble.
That's all about you,
Your body,
And your breath.
And how you can do that is focus on the feeling of your breath,
First of all.
What does it feel like as you breathe in?
What does your breath feel like as you breathe out?
If it doesn't feel quite right,
Then you've not found the right pace.
Even though you're focusing on it,
It's supposed to be effortless.
So if you're breathing too long and too slow,
And it feels kind of awkward and you're chasing your breath,
Then Maybe don't breathe so deep.
Try and find a good pace.
That just feels easy.
Calming at the same time.
Purposefully relax your shoulders,
Pull them down away from your ears.
Make some space between your teeth.
So your jar is just a little bit relaxed,
Slightly open though.
Not too much.
With your eyes closed feel the space around your eyes and see if you can make your eyebrows just a little bit heavier.
Let them drop slightly more.
Closing your eyes deeper.
And when your eyes are deeper.
Check in with your forehead and see if you can feel any tension.
Imagine all the lines on your forehead relaxing and softening,
The space around your eyes relaxing and softening.
Just kind of let everything slouch.
Soften.
Let it all go for a moment.
It doesn't matter what's happening in your life.
Life could be great.
Life could be chaotic,
Crazy.
This is your little bubble of escape.
A tiny,
Precious time.
For you.
And within that.
We're just going to relax and breathe.
Two sweet things in life that are very free.
We don't have to pay for it.
It's right there for us all the time yet.
Most of the time we find ourselves busy.
Active are you unaware of?
Our bodies and our breath and our state of being.
So this is your time.
To check in.
To plug in.
And just be with yourself for a moment.
Focus on your chest area for the next few breaths.
Feel the movement of your chest.
See if you can tap into the subconscious of what's going on with your breath.
The emotional,
The mental of your breath.
And when you breathe in.
Know that your body is open.
Receptive.
Welcoming.
See if you can tap into that feeling.
You welcome in your breath.
You allow it.
Into your being.
You're open.
Can you feel open?
Open your chest.
What's it feel like to be open?
This feeling instead of maybe closed,
Protected.
You know,
Most of the time we're closed and protected.
But in this time,
Just focusing on your breath,
You can allow yourself to be vulnerable.
You can allow yourself to really feel.
What it feels like to be open and your breath can do that for you.
It feels nice to not have to be defensive,
Protective,
On guard.
You're allowing this beautiful breath.
Into that which you are.
The deepest parts of you.
You're taking in this breath.
Like a friend.
And it feels sweet.
It feels right.
It feels like you're in your true nature when you just allow.
And welcome.
And every breath is bringing something to you.
How cool is that?
Every breath that you bring into your body.
Is bringing life for us.
And everything that rides on that.
Come on in,
My friend,
Come on in.
And enjoy this peace and quiet that's been created,
Just enjoy this softness in your body.
The relaxation of it.
How simple is it to get here?
And yet we're so busy most of the time that we don't get here.
Just enjoy the stillness of your body and the quiet that's around you.
Quite blissful.
And then what about your beautiful exhales?
Focus on those for the next few minutes.
What does your exhale feel like to you as you let go?
You release.
You empty.
What if you could let go of everything?
Everything that doesn't serve you in your breath What if you could let go of.
.
.
All of those parts of your mind that cause discomfort or grief or pain.
What if you could just.
.
.
Let go of it.
And breathe it out.
And say OK.
Enough's enough.
Take care.
Take it away.
Let your shoulders get heavier.
Let your face get softer.
Let your body surrender into your exhales.
Your body naturally wants to soften.
You'll feel the subtle movements.
Your chest and your lungs pull back towards your spine as if they're going back into the cave.
Back into that safe space as you exhale.
Retreating away from the world.
We're not in welcome mode when we exhale.
We're in.
Retreat.
We pull back.
And in this beautiful space of pulling back,
That's our time to Be aware.
A time of pause so that we can assess the world,
Assess our lives.
When we pull back,
It gives us the space to think.
Our own little retreats.
Every exhale is like a little retreat.
And this is all in your breath.
And this is all right there at your fingertips to stop any moment of the day.
And just take nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
Maybe just 10.
Just to reset your body,
Reset your mind.
Your energy,
Your mood.
Your breath is constantly there for you.
Your biggest supporter.
Your biggest friend.
See if you can sit in the stillness for a moment and just enjoy it you and your breath.
Feel your heartbeat.
The life force going through you.
Know that all is well.
If you stripped away.
All the tiny minute even the big issues of your life.
Really endless moment with your breath,
Your body.
See if you can just feel a sense that all is well.
And that's all you need.
To reset.
And feel good.
I'm going to count to three and when I get to three you can open your eyes and come back into life,
Your space that you're in.
One,
Two,
Three.
And with your eyes open,
Just assess your space,
Assess your room.
Take a moment to look around.
Maybe look down at your hands and your body.
This gift that you've been given that you're in,
This experience itself is.
Crazy.
And just remember that you always have your breath.
Always always until you don't.
Namaste my friends.
