Are you ready to meditate with Kori?

Make sure that you're all snuggly and warm in your bed.

The light is just right in your room.

You're wearing your comfortable pajamas and everything is all good in the world.

Now close your eyes.

We're going to use our imagination.

With your eyes closed,

You can go on a journey inside of your mind.

A magical journey that can take you away from your room,

Away from your bed,

Into a place in your mind far,

Far away.

Just by closing your eyes and imagining that you're somewhere else.

I'd like you to imagine that you're even something else.

It's a sunny day.

The sun is bright and golden in the sky.

And it's shining down all over you.

You're a flower,

A sunflower.

You're super tall.

You've been growing for a couple of months now,

Growing by the side of the house.

The house is in the middle of a field.

The house is next to a farm that has trees.

It has a tractor,

Animals,

People live in the house.

And there's a farmer that waters you every day.

He loves all the plants in his garden.

But he especially loves you.

Sunflowers are his favorite,

Favorite flower.

And for the last couple of months,

He's been watering you every day.

Sometimes it rains and the rain waters you.

But every day he still waters you.

He fills his watering can up from a bin of water that he collected and saved from the creek.

The creek is behind the farm.

But when you're in the fields and when you're planted by the house just like you are,

You can hear the running water trickling and making noises over the rocks as it flows.

The sun,

The rain and the farmer that waters you every day are your favorite things about being a flower.

Imagine what it's like to be a sunflower.

So so tall.

Maybe like 10 foot tall,

You're that tall.

Taller than any person would be.

Your head is very big.

And you have 35 petals.

And you're the brightest yellow you've ever,

Ever seen.

Brighter than butter,

Brighter than corn,

Brighter than the yellow tractor that belongs to the farmer.

You're even brighter than the sun.

35 petals blowing in the wind like a lion's mane around your face.

The nice thing about being a flower is that lots of different insects come to visit.

You have bees tickling you and landing on you all the time.

Butterflies come by and land on you and take a rest.

An ice break from flying around all the time.

One time you had 15 ladybugs on you at the same time.

Fifteen ladybugs.

They were so cute.

They kept tickling you with the tiny,

Tiny little ladybug legs.

So many little legs all at once tickling all over your petals and the center of your flower.

And they're so gentle and small.

It was like having a blanket of ladybugs,

Soft and ticklish all over your face.

And when the sun shines down,

You can feel yourself reaching higher to the sun.

As if you're on your tippy toes trying to get closer,

Closer.

Sometimes you sway quite strongly.

Move in from left to right and back and forth.

Sometimes the wind spins you around and you feel as if you're spinning in a circle.

Even though you're not.

It's always nice to have the house to lean on.

And the farmer put a trellis behind you so you can wrap your leaves and stretch out and hold on.

But you just keep growing.

Getting bigger and bigger every day you seem to get taller and taller,

Stronger and stronger and closer to the sun.

Inch by inch.

And every drop of water feeds your roots.

And all the energy you get from the sun feeds your cells.

And you grow and grow.

And one day the sun comes out less and less.

And you notice it's been a while since you've seen the sun.

Your head got so big and so heavy that sometimes you droop a little bit.

It got windier and rainier.

It feels colder like autumn is coming.

You see the farmer less and less.

But it's still nice to be a sunflower.

Shining your bright yellow reflection off the house and brightening up the garden a little bit still.

You notice that in the middle of your head seeds have formed.

And when it's really windy they naturally fall off onto the ground into the soil.

Maybe they stay there for a while,

You're not sure.

Maybe next summer they'll become more sunflowers.

The days seem to get darker and the weather changes more and more.

Until eventually you change form.

You fall onto the ground and all of your seeds fall into the soil.

And next summer there'll be so many of you,

Maybe hundreds of you popping up next to the house.

A full family of sunflowers for the farmer to water every day.

And you'll all reach for the sun and get bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger.

There'll be so many bees,

So many butterflies.

It's definitely cool being a sunflower.

The colour yellow is definitely happy.

And you'll just keep coming back over and over.

Every summer.

On the farm.

Next to the house.

Making the farmer very very happy.

All over again.

The end.
