Are you ready to meditate with Kori?

Make sure that you're comfortable in your bed.

Everything is just right in your room.

The lights are just right.

You're wearing your comfortable pajamas and you can settle down and be still and quiet and relax in your bed.

Stephanie had had the best night.

One of her best friends Alana had stayed over.

It was morning time.

They were getting dressed,

Getting ready.

They were going to go to the mall together.

Get a Cinnabon and a smoothie.

Alana sat down at Stephanie's dressing table.

Stephanie was brushing her teeth in the bathroom.

And Alana was just thumbing through all the different things on Stephanie's dressing table.

Stephanie had a photo album there and she was flicking through the photos.

And then Alana noticed Stephanie's jewelry box and opened it up.

She was thumbing through her neck laces and different things inside of her jewelry box.

She picked up a pair of Stephanie's earrings and held them up to her ears just to see what they would look like on her.

They were cute.

They were simple but really pretty.

Alana had only just recently got her ears pierced.

It had been a couple of months.

So she was very excited about all the different possibilities that she could wear in the different types of earrings,

Studs,

Rings,

Danglies.

She put Stephanie's earrings down and took her earrings out.

She picked up one of the earrings and put it into her left ear.

Stephanie was walking out to the bathroom and noticed exactly what Alana was doing and screamed,

Stop.

Alana jumped.

What?

She said,

What's wrong?

At this point she'd only got one of the earrings in.

Stephanie said,

Oh no,

No,

They're just really special earrings and I don't think it's a good idea that you wear them.

Alana said,

But that doesn't make any sense.

You're not like that.

You normally let me wear all of your stuff,

Your clothes,

Your shoes,

Your jewelry.

Stephanie said,

Yeah,

I know,

But these earrings,

They're just like super special.

Move over a bit,

Move over.

Stephanie moved Alana over on the dressing table chair and sat next to her.

So they were sharing the chair,

Looking into the mirror together.

And then she thought about it for a second.

She thought about Alana being one of her bestest friends.

She thought about possibly seeing what would happen.

She had an idea formulating in her mind.

She thought about it and thought about it.

And in the meantime,

Alana was just staring at her through the mirror like,

What's going on?

What's wrong with you?

She was pulling a confused,

Kind of like stressed,

Kind of like you're acting really weird face.

And then finally,

Stephanie said,

Okay,

Let's try something.

I'm going to put one of the earrings in and you're going to keep that earring in.

I'm going to warn you that these are really,

Really special earrings and things might change and you might think it's strange,

But trust me,

I'm right here with you and we're going to go somewhere really,

Really nice.

So know that you're safe.

Don't panic and just kind of go with it.

Alana looked worried.

What are you talking about?

You're scaring me.

Stephanie said,

Oh no,

Don't be scared.

It's just that I got these earrings as a present a long time ago.

And when I wear them,

They help me to go somewhere else.

There's a really special place that I go to called Moonbow Forest.

It sounds crazy.

I know,

But just trust me.

Moonbow Forest is this place that has,

It's just the best place ever.

It has unicorns.

I know.

Yes,

They're actually real.

Stephanie kept responding to the different faces that Alana was pulling like disbelief.

Are you crazy dude?

Like oh,

That sounds cool.

All these different faces.

Stephanie just kept talking.

When you get there,

There's lots of parts to Moonbow Forest that you can actually eat.

I mean like the trees and the grass and there's like a pizza mountain and there's like an ice cream mountain and there's strawberry milkshake lakes and it's just,

It just sounds so bizarre.

I know.

Saying it out loud right now to you,

I'm realizing I sound crazy,

But do you trust me?

Alana thought about it for a second.

She did trust Stephanie a lot.

She finally said,

Yes,

I do.

I trust you.

Stephanie said,

Okay,

We're just going to sit here.

I'm going to put the other earring in and we're going to see what happens.

Nothing might happen and you might be wearing an earring on the left and I might be wearing a new one on the right and it's just as simple as that and that's that and then we'll just go to the mall.

But something might happen.

You might start to feel things in your body,

But they're nice things.

Don't worry.

Alana looked stressed and worried once again and Stephanie was just reading her face,

Talking as if she was just talking to you,

Answer all of her different facial expressions and questions and concerns and then Alana's face softened and relaxed again and Stephanie just went for it.

She put in the right earring on the right side in the right ear.

She whispered to Alana,

Close your eyes.

Alana and Stephanie both closed their eyes.

Alana started to feel a really gentle tingle in her body,

A tingling sensation as if someone was really gently tickling her fingertips with a feather or something.

She felt it the most strongest in her fingertips first.

Stephanie said,

Can you feel it in your hands?

Can you feel anything?

Stephanie was already feeling the normal sensations that she feels and she knew something was working.

Maybe,

Possibly,

If it feels like this,

Maybe very lightly.

The magic works with both of them.

Alana said,

Yes,

I can feel it in my hands.

What is it?

Stephanie said,

Don't worry,

It's normal.

It's just the beginning sensations of the energy in your body changing.

It has to calibrate with the vibration of moon bow forest.

To go somewhere,

You have to match the same energy.

Otherwise,

You wouldn't be able to be there if your energy wasn't the same as everything else around you.

It's complicated,

But just keep feeling what's happening in your body.

Stephanie tuned into her own body and felt the familiar butterflies in her stomach,

Excited feeling starting to mount and get stronger.

And then she felt her nose tingling,

Buzzing,

Twitching,

Itching.

She wanted to rub her nose.

And just as she was feeling that feeling,

Alana rubbed her nose and Stephanie laughed.

Can you feel it in your nose?

Alana laughed.

Yes,

What is that?

And then all of a sudden,

Alana stopped laughing just like that.

Oh,

Oh wait,

What's that?

Alana could see the veil right there in front of her face.

Stephanie said,

Can you see the curtain?

Can you see the veil?

Alana was so excited.

Yes,

What is that?

Stephanie was super excited.

Oh gosh,

It's the curtain.

It's the curtain that is always there.

It's there to separate us from this world and that world,

The world of Moonbow Forest.

I can't believe you can see it,

Alana.

I can't believe that they're going to let you go.

They're going to let you visit.

Who?

Said Alana.

All the friends at Moonbow Forest,

They obviously know.

They can tell.

They know everything there.

They know when I'm coming.

They know what I need when I get there.

Oh,

I'm so excited.

I can't believe it.

Okay,

Just breathe,

Said Stephanie.

She took a big,

Deep breath to try and calm herself down.

Alana felt Stephanie breathe in deep and she started to breathe deep and slow.

The veil got clearer in both of their minds.

And then Alana looked to her right in her mind and Stephanie looked to her left in her mind.

They both got their eyes closed and they were using their inner sight and they could see each other holding hands,

Standing in front of the same veil.

That magical veil that divides this world and that.

It was glimmering and shimmering in the light.

It was a silvery light as if it was moonlight.

The curtain had strands of silver running through it that sparkled and twinkled.

But it was also transparent.

Alana was seeing this for the very first time.

And Stephanie could feel Alana's heartbeat just like she could feel her own.

Loud and strong and pumping through both of them.

Stephanie felt like she was seeing everything once again for the first time.

Like she was experiencing this experience of traveling into another world for the first time.

Because her best friend was doing it right there next to her.

She could feel her left hand holding Alana's right hand and it was all sweaty as if she was sweating and nervous.

It was warm and she could feel a pulse in her hand.

The pulse from her heartbeat.

She focused on the veil and then she said,

Are you ready to go through the veil?

Are you ready to pull this curtain to one side so we can step into Moonbow Forest?

Alana squeezed Stephanie's hand.

Ready.

Stephanie reached up for the curtain and pulled it to one side and stepped forward with her hand.

The first thing Alana noticed was the grass underneath her feet.

It was super spongy,

Soft but slightly prickly at the same time.

It felt like grass.

It definitely was grass without her even looking down she could tell by the sensation she could feel on her feet.

But when Alana looked down at the grass she took a big deep breath in almost like a gasp.

She gasped at how green the grass was.

It was green.

I mean bright,

Vibrant,

Like pulsating green.

She had never seen a green that bright,

That vibrant,

That lush before.

And then she looked up,

Her mouth opened in a state of wonder and awe as she looked around at what she could see.

Stephanie was staring at Alana's face,

Watching all the different expressions quickly change from second to second,

From moment to moment.

She looked like a child that had just woke up Christmas morning,

Staring at the Christmas tree with so many presents underneath.

Alana was staring at the forest and all of the brilliancy of the colors,

The brightness,

The vibration of them.

It was as if she could feel the trees like she was part of them and the smells.

Oh my gosh this place smells so good.

It was like she could smell every smell that you could think of that was good,

All the good smells like mint and cinnamon and chocolate and vanilla and strawberry and raspberry and mango.

It was just overwhelming how many smells she could smell and they all smelled sweet and it made her tummy go like,

Oh,

I'm so hungry.

It was like walking into a factory.

It made her think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,

That scene where they walk in and all of the kids just running around like crazy,

Kids eating all the different things.

She looked at Stephanie and said,

You can actually eat some of these things?

Stephanie nodded,

This grass that we're standing on by the way is so good.

Alana pulled a weird face again like you can eat the grass?

She instantly reached down and picked a piece of grass and put it in her mouth.

It was like chocolate mint flavor.

It melted like chocolate in her mouth.

That under her feet,

It didn't melt at all.

It felt like spongy,

Soft,

Kind of prickly grass.

The trees,

Stephanie said,

The trees,

The bark is chocolate,

The trees,

The leaves are different mint flavors.

There's so many things here,

So many things that you can eat,

So many things that you can see,

So many things that you can do.

It's like,

I can't tell you everything all at once,

It's kind of overwhelming,

Said Stephanie.

Alana said,

Wait,

Wait,

What's that?

She saw something moving.

It moved out from behind a tree.

It was like a silvery white looking horse,

She thought.

The horse started to walk towards her.

And that's when Alana noticed it wasn't a horse.

It had a horn.

It was a unicorn.

It was a unicorn,

She was thinking inside.

Oh my gosh,

A unicorn.

Oh my gosh,

It is a unicorn.

Oh no,

Oh,

Oh,

I'm so excited.

I don't know what to do.

Can I touch it?

Can I touch it?

In that moment,

Luna opened her mouth and said,

Hello Stephanie,

Welcome back.

Hello Alana.

Stephanie smiled.

She knew that Luna would know who Alana was.

She knew they wouldn't let her come if she wasn't welcome,

If they didn't already know she was coming.

Alana looked like her bottom jaw had just fallen off.

One she was in a state of shock that unicorns actually do exist and two,

Unicorns can talk.

She didn't know what to do with herself.

Stephanie squeezed her hand and said,

Breathe,

Breathe.

And with that,

It was if Stephanie brought Alana out of a spell or something because she instantly took a big deep breath,

Like she'd been holding her breath underwater for ages.

And then she kept her mouth wide open,

Her eyes big and round staring at Luna and Luna said,

It's okay.

I know it's a lot.

Would you like a ride?

At that point,

Alana dropped Stephanie's hand and turned around and looked at her friend and said,

No way,

No way.

Stephanie smiled the biggest smile at her and said,

Yes,

Yes way.

Do you want to?

Alana said,

Are you nuts?

What do we do?

What do we do?

How do I get on?

Stephanie helped Alana onto Luna's back.

And then nightshade,

A dark gray,

Silvery unicorn walked forward.

Stephanie greeted nightshade,

Joined her head,

Her forehead with nightshade's forehead.

And they had a moment where they stayed connected.

And then Stephanie said,

Hello.

She told Alana that this is nightshade.

Stephanie climbed on to nightshade's back.

She showed Alana how to wrap her hands around the unicorn's mains,

To hold on tight,

To dig your knees in just a little bit,

As if you're holding on and giving them a hug.

And then just like that,

The unicorn started to walk forward and then walk off and up into the air.

At first,

The only thing that Alana could do was let out a little scream.

But then she just held on tighter and looked at Stephanie for reassurance.

And Stephanie just smiled and said,

It's OK.

You're safe.

Luna said,

Let's take her to Cupcake Valley.

It's been a while since you've been there,

Stephanie.

Oh,

Stephanie said,

I am so hungry.

Cupcake Valley would be perfect right now.

Luna said,

That sounds delicious.

What is that place?

The unicorns flew them up over all of the trees,

Up higher into the clouds.

So they both got a really good view of everything down below.

They flew over the milkshake lake that was pink and thick and gooey and creamy,

Flowing just like a river would flow.

They flew past Pizza Mountain.

Alana was like just in awe at everything.

What was interesting to her was that as you got closer to different things,

You could smell them.

It was like flying through a pizza restaurant when you got close to Pizza Mountain.

It was crazy how everything was so real and vibrant and full of life.

She couldn't get over the colors.

The colors were just so beautiful,

Calming,

Yet breathtaking at the same time.

It really,

Really was like a different world,

Obviously,

But it felt so different.

The energy there felt so friendly and clean and special.

Like when you have a happy moment and your body feels so good,

It felt like the whole place felt like that.

Everything felt good.

And then in the distance,

Alana noticed all these different colors,

Like rainbow sprinkles all over the ground.

And as they flew closer and closer,

It just looked like a field of cupcakes.

Stephanie shouted over,

This is Cupcake Valley.

It's the best.

And as they got closer,

The smell was like fresh baked cake.

She could smell the frostings.

She could smell the flavors.

She could literally smell the colors.

It was like the sweetest smell,

As if you just landed in Cupcake Heaven.

When they got down and they landed,

The cupcakes were actually quite big,

Like as big as a chair that you would sit in,

Each one of them were quite big.

And Stephanie led the way and just walked around and nibbled off different cupcakes.

And as you took a big handful of the cupcake,

It instantly just popped back into perfect place,

Like you hadn't taken any at all.

Like it was just forever going to be complete.

You couldn't eat all the cupcakes because they just instantly popped back into a perfect cupcake shape.

Like you'd never been there.

You'd never messed one up.

It was always going to be a perfect cupcake.

Alana thought there was something really special about that.

Like you weren't ruining the cupcakes.

It made her feel like she could taste them as many different flavors without her feeling bad for taking just a little bit of each one.

It didn't matter because the cupcakes kind of renewed themselves.

There were always going to be perfect cupcakes for everyone who came there to enjoy.

Enough,

Maybe,

If that was the case,

For the entire world.

Every animal,

Every child,

Every adult on earth could have one of those cupcakes and still they would never run out.

Stephanie felt like she could feel exactly what Alana,

Her best friend,

Was thinking.

She looked at her and said,

Right,

I know,

It's awesome.

And then Alana got a little bit sad for a moment.

Like why is this world here,

Real here,

But not real for everyone else in the world?

Like she felt spoiled almost,

Like super lucky that she was there and everyone else didn't get to be there.

And Stephanie felt her feeling that too and she said,

Yes,

I know,

Just be grateful.

That's how I deal with it.

I'm just so grateful.

Alana closed her eyes for a minute and she felt gratitude running throughout her entire body.

It made all of her body tingle and feel open and happy like sunlight.

She felt like sunlight.

Stephanie,

Luna,

Nightshade and Alana went to a few different places that visit,

But then it was time to come back.

When they got back,

They both just stared in the mirror.

Alana didn't say a word,

She just smiled at Stephanie and Stephanie smiled back and she knew that the secret of Moonbow Forest would be safe with her best friend.

The end.
