All right,
Let's meditate,
Shall we,
My loves?
Get comfortable.
Close down your eyes.
Straighten your spine.
Rest your hands on your lap or on your knees.
And start to breathe.
I mean,
You are already breathing,
But let's focus on that breath.
So if you put your focus and attention onto your breath,
And simply just become more intimate with your breath,
Let's see what happens to the rest of our bodies.
As you breathe in,
Focus on your chest expanding.
For the next couple of breaths,
Just feel the sensation of your chest rising,
Expanding,
Opening.
Pay little attention to the exhale at this point.
Just breathe.
Breathing in,
Notice the sensation of what breath feels like as it comes in through your nose.
Feel it travel down into your lungs.
The journey of it traveling down through the back of your throat,
The top of your chest,
The middle of the chest.
Down into your abdomen,
If you're breathing fully,
To capacity.
What if the breath was like a friend?
A long lost friend,
And every time you breathed this friend into your body,
You fully opened,
Welcomed the breath into your being.
What if you'd not seen this friend for a very long time,
And there was lots of love and kindness between the two of you?
What would the breath being your friend feel like then?
Just sit with that for a few breaths.
When you release,
When you exhale,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Carefully exhale.
Know that your friend is coming back within a few moments in the next breath.
What if you had to release and let go once again?
You would treasure each millisecond of your exhale.
Feel it completely.
What if it was the last moment you were going to get to be with them?
How does that change the feeling of your exhale?
Do you notice anything in your heart when you exhale slowly,
Thinking this may be the last you're letting go?
What happens in your heart space?
What happens to your shoulders?
Feel what happens in your face,
But then as you breathe in,
Your friend is right there again.
And you open,
And you pull them in with all the love.
Maybe you can hold your breath,
Hold your inhale,
Feel what it feels like to be completely full with that loving,
Kind friend.
Like you're being held by your breath.
And when you let go,
Really allow yourself to feel as if you're letting go.
My gosh,
There's so much.
I don't know about you guys,
But there's so much emotion that we can attach to the breath.
I feel like I want to cry.
Symbolically,
I think this is life,
Right?
Going through the changes.
It's like going through the seasons,
Going through the periods of time within a day,
Within an hour,
Within a month,
Within our lives.
There's always these ebbs and flows of different forms of intimacy.
Some of them feel so beautiful inside of our body,
And yet some of them feel so earth shakingly hard and real and sad.
All of those beautiful moments that we can experience when we really allow ourselves to be in whatever it is that we are experiencing.
And there's so many ways that we detach.
But when we're fully aware,
You can really feel how much richer life can be in such a small thing as breathing,
Something that we do every day without even thinking about it.
It can become so intense and precious and sad and beautiful when we put awareness on something.
So let's shift gears.
Let your breath find a normal,
Relaxed,
Comfortable pace.
Put all your attention now down into the center of your chest.
Let your breath just fall into the background.
Less awareness.
Focus purely on the feeling,
That point right there in the center of your chest.
Feel the outside.
Maybe you can feel your clothing touching your skin over your heart chakra right there.
Take a few breaths,
Just feeling the sensation of the clothing that you're wearing on your skin.
And then go deeper.
Pull your attention inside of your body and feel,
If you can,
Sense the weight.
Feel the weight of your heart chakra.
Imagine it there in your mind,
This ball of light.
It could be green to represent the heart chakra.
If it helps to visualize,
See that ball of green light right there in the center of your chest.
Imagine it's about as big as your fist,
Just like your physical heart.
Take a few breaths and settle in with that visualization.
It could get stronger in your mind.
And then feel it,
As if you can feel this ball of light there in your chest.
And we're going to stoke that space with our breath.
So the next time you breathe in intentionally,
Be more intimate once again with your breath.
Intentionally breathe into that ball of light and feel it expand,
As if you're blowing up a magical balloon there in the middle of your chest.
And every time you bring life force into your heart chakra,
Automatically starts to open and expand.
And as you breathe out,
Just relax your shoulders,
Relax your face.
Use your exhales as a relaxation.
A few sweet precious moments of softening.
And really feel into that softening.
Don't just do it automatically.
Feel the sweetness of what it feels like when your shoulders soften and relax.
It feels like an exhale of hum.
But it's just a feeling.
Keep breathing in.
Imagine you're breathing in this sweet life force that's all around you,
Provided by Mother Earth,
Life experience itself.
Bring in that breath.
Pull it down into that green emerald bright ball of light and make it expand so it starts to spread across your ribs,
Down into your tummy,
Up into your throat.
And as you gain more connection to your heart space in this way,
You start to feel an expansion in your chest.
Maybe your shoulders naturally want to pull back so that you can open your chest up to the world.
Let your throat be more exposed.
Let your head go back slightly.
Make space so that your heart can take over your entire being.
Each breath,
See in your mind's eye the light spreading down over your shoulders,
Down into your arms.
See it going down into your lower abdomen,
Down eventually into your legs.
Feed in your heart space.
Make it grow.
Make it open.
With that feeling comes along,
If you can identify it,
A sense of inner peace.
You'll feel really calm right now,
Just peaceful,
Calm,
Loving,
A feeling of all is well in the world.
Becoming more intimate with this part of your being,
Know that when you're not in this space,
Most of the time your heart chakra is well and truly protected.
Maybe you have some walls around it.
Maybe yours is in a in a very safe cupboard.
Maybe it's just got a hole.
You have to run through the lasers.
You have to run through,
You know,
All the spikes,
Like Indiana Jones,
To get to your heart space because that's the only way it makes us feel safe.
Imagine all of that's gone right now.
You're in the safe space.
You're in your own presence.
You've got your own back and you love yourself truly.
You can be open,
Exposed,
Completely in the strength of your vulnerability.
You're safe.
Right?
This is a safe space.
Just deepen your breath.
Take bigger,
Deep breaths into that heart space.
Really,
Really get into the sense of enjoyment,
Yumminess,
Also power.
Look how you can change your being.
How powerful is that?
You are a powerful being and when you decide to be more aware and more intimate with whatever it is outside of you or within you,
Then you can really shift your reality.
And so it is.
I'm going to count to five and then you can come back into your space and open your eyes.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Coming back into your space,
Feeling much more self-aware,
Much more in your own power.
Namaste,
My friends.
