Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you're very,

Very comfortable in your bed.

You're wearing your bestest comfortable pajamas,

You've brushed your teeth and all is well so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy day.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veyor had been invited over to Bree's house.

Jaylee and Xander,

The twins,

Were there and also Alex,

Their friend.

They were playing on the back garden.

Bree had a treehouse and they were pretending that it was the dragon's den.

Cherry was swinging back and forward on the rope swing.

She was pretending that she was Tarzan.

Heidi said,

You're supposed to be a dragon.

Cherry said,

Yeah,

I know,

I know,

But I can't help it whenever I swing on a rope.

It always makes me think about Tarzan swinging through the jungle.

Anyway,

Yeah,

I'm a dragon and the floor is lava and all the trees around are dragons that are chasing us through,

Through,

Through the forest.

And there's some crazy birds up in the sky that keep flying down,

Like bombing down through the sky and they're attacking us from above.

And like everything's attacking us and there's dragons everywhere.

And like I said,

The floor is lava.

And I'm so,

I'm so scared because,

You know,

You know,

Bree's a dragon and Jaylee's a dragon and Xander's a dragon and Alex is a dragon and everybody's a dragon.

Even Veyor's a dragon and she's trying to be really mean,

But Veyor makes actually a really cute dragon.

She keeps kind of like coughing and spluttering and saying rawr in her most nicest voice.

And it's not very,

Very authentic at all.

It doesn't feel very real.

She doesn't feel like a dragon.

No,

If I was to put an animal on Veyor,

I'd say Veyor is more like a goldfish.

Yeah,

Veyor the goldfish,

Because she's so like,

You know,

Just gentle and stuff.

Goldfish are very gentle,

Aren't you?

You know,

You never,

Ever,

Ever,

Ever,

Ever,

Ever see a goldfish with teeth.

Anyway,

Yeah,

Yeah.

Cherry was saying all this as she was swinging back and forward on the rope.

Bree said,

Can I have a turn on the rope?

Cherry said,

No,

It's my turn.

And then,

You know,

You know,

If I had to think of an animal that would be Heidi,

I'd say Heidi was more like a hippopotamus.

Because,

You know,

I don't know why.

And then,

And then,

And then Jaylee,

Jaylee,

Jaylee,

A gazoo.

No,

No,

No,

A gazelle,

A gazelle.

Yeah,

Jaylee would be a gazelle.

And Xander,

Xander would be an elephant.

I'm killing myself.

Alex said,

Cherry,

You've been on the rope swing for a long time now.

You should let someone else have a turn.

Cherry said,

I'm busy,

Alex,

I'm busy.

I'm avoiding the lava on the floor.

And it's so scary.

And there's so many dragons.

Alex said,

I'm going to turn into a real dragon soon,

Cherry,

If you don't give someone else a turn.

Heidi said,

Alex is right,

Cherry,

You need to get off the swing and give someone else a turn.

Yeah,

Yeah,

Yeah,

I know,

I know.

I know all about taking turns.

But,

You know,

This is really important because how am I supposed to get off the rope if the floor is lava?

Heidi said,

Well,

You can stop pretending.

You can get down and let someone else have a turn.

You're just using the game as an excuse,

Cherry,

To not take turns.

Cherry said,

Oh,

All right,

Then,

All right.

She jumped off the rope swing and stomped her feet a little bit as she walked away.

Vea said,

Mi doesn't think she's very happy about that.

Heidi said,

That's OK.

Cherry needs to know that she doesn't always get what she wants and you have to take turns.

Jaylee and Xander shouted from the top of the treehouse,

Cherry,

You're walking on lava.

If you don't get off the lava,

You're going to melt.

Or when I blow fire all over you,

You're definitely going to melt.

Cherry said,

I'm not playing anymore.

Heidi said,

It's OK,

Guys.

I'm just going to have a chat with Cherry.

Heidi went to sit next to Cherry,

Who'd slumped herself down by a tree.

She was resting her back on the tree trunk,

Locking down at the ground,

Twiddling her front paws.

What's wrong,

Said Heidi.

Cherry said,

I know you're supposed to take turns.

You don't have to tell me in front of everyone to take turns.

You made me really embarrassed.

Heidi said,

Oh,

I'm sorry.

I didn't mean to embarrass you.

I just thought you weren't paying attention to Alex and Alex was getting a little bit frustrated with the fact that you weren't sharing the swing.

I was going to,

I was going to share,

I was,

I was going to share.

But,

You know,

Right then in that moment,

I really didn't want to.

Don't you ever get that feeling that you don't want to do what someone wants you to do?

I mean,

I'm sure I'm not the only one in the world that doesn't want to do what someone else wants to do or doesn't want to take turns when they're supposed to take turns.

Why do you always have to take turns anyway?

And why can't you eat all your favourite candy?

And why do you have to go to bed at a certain time?

And why do you have to brush your teeth?

And why do you have to brush your hair?

And why do you have to have a shower?

And why do you always have to listen to everyone?

Why,

Why,

Why,

Why?

There's so many rules,

Heidi.

There's so many rules.

Sometimes I just want to break free.

I want to be a dragon and just fly in the sky and burn fire on all the rules.

And then,

And then there'd be no rules.

And then I wouldn't have to do what anybody tells me to do anymore because it gets so annoying.

I'm so annoyed right now.

I'm so annoyed.

Heidi giggled a little bit.

Cherry was being very dramatic,

But she didn't want to laugh at Cherry because that would have probably made Cherry really angry.

So she stayed very calm and just said to Cherry,

How about this?

How about we play a game?

How about we actually pretend we're dragons?

Like for real,

For real,

Said Cherry.

Yeah,

For real,

Cherry said.

What do we do?

What do you need us to do?

What should we do?

Heidi said,

Well,

How about you just lay down and close your eyes?

Cherry laid down.

Heidi made an announcement.

We're going to pretend to be dragons in a different way if anybody wants to join us.

The kids got out of the treehouse.

Alex got off the rope swing.

And everyone ran over and laid down on the ground,

Just like Cherry.

Heidi said,

Rather than close your eyes for this,

Everyone just stare at the sky.

It was a lovely day.

It was a clear blue sky.

Not a cloud in sight.

It wasn't too sunny.

It wasn't cloudy,

It wasn't rainy.

It was just right to pretend that you're a dragon.

Now,

As you stare at the sky,

Heidi said.

Focus on your back.

Feel your back laid on the ground.

Feel the back of your back,

The back of your legs.

Your ankles,

Your head.

Feel everything laid on the ground.

Know that you're safe and secure.

Now,

Imagine that you've got a little bit of an itch right there in the middle of your back.

It's an itch and a scratch.

And it feels just like something's popping out of the middle of your back.

That's something that's popping out of the middle of your back.

Here's your baby dragon wings.

Sprouting out.

And they're starting to get bigger.

And bigger.

And bigger.

Until you can imagine that they're stretched out on either side of you,

Big dragon wings.

Now,

As you stare at the sky,

Imagine that you're opening your mouth and you're blowing out the biggest,

Strongest flames,

Bright red and orange and yellow.

Big flames that are bursting into the sky.

Everyone was listening to Heidi.

They were all laid there with their mouths closed.

Mouths open,

Pretending to flap their wings.

Now,

Imagine you're going to stand up and run and then fly up off the ground into that big blue sky there up above you.

Imagine you can fly and twist and spin and dive all over the sky.

You're as free as a dragon and as fast as any bird.

Heidi said,

Imagine you're protecting the dragon's den down below.

She was talking about the treehouse.

There's queens and kings and knights and princes and princesses all in the dragon's den.

And they rely on the dragons to protect their kingdom.

The kids and the cats were smiling,

Imagining that they were flying all over,

Protecting the villagers and the kingdom down below.

They were very important dragons.

They had very important work to do.

Heidi took them on an adventure for quite some time.

She had them saving the day,

Burning down trees,

Pretending to catch bad guys.

She had them doing all sorts of things using their imagination.

And then after a while,

It was time for the cats to go home.

Cherry said she was sorry to everyone.

She said she wasn't in a very good mood today.

But she'll make sure she shares and she's happier next time.

When the cats got home,

They settled down on their comfortable cat bed.

Snuggled each other lots and lots and lots.

And then they eventually fell to sleep.
