Heidi,
Cherry and Vea were doing far from relaxing.
On this particular day it was a Friday and it was a very special day at the Rotatuna Primary School.
Ben,
Their friend,
Who was doing something extremely cool for the talent show at the school,
Had invited the cats to come along.
He checked with the primary school headmaster and he said it was totally okay that the cats could be part of the talent show.
They were all very excited because they all believed that they had talent.
There was 15 different children that had signed up for the talent show so it was going to be a hell of a performance.
The audience was absolutely jam-packed full of kids and parents that had all come to watch.
Heidi was a little bit nervous.
Vea had been practicing for three weeks solid so she was totally fine.
Cherry had been practicing all week in the shower driving everyone nuts.
Cherry was going to sing.
Vea was one of the cats that was up first.
She was going to do what would you I don't even know what you call it but she'd got 20 different glasses all lined up on a table and they all had different amounts of water in them and each one of them made the prettiest sound when you tapped on it so she was going to play a song on the glasses.
It sounded awesome.
The audience was really really quiet just listening and all the different sounds from the glasses sounded really angelic and sweet just like Vea.
It was the perfect talent that she could have chosen to put on for the show.
When she finished she bowed her head and said me says thank you and then walked off the stage.
Next up was Ben.
Ben was going to do his famous magic show.
Well it was famous in his family but he was super excited to show the school and everyone else how he did his magic.
He did a couple of different tricks.
One of them was where he turned all these different colored scarves into bunches of flowers.
The audience absolutely loved it and then his favorite one was when he got the rabbit to come out of the hat.
Everyone applauded as if he was like a famous magic person or something which made Ben very very happy.
Then Heidi went on and she was juggling.
You wouldn't have known this but Heidi was a very good juggler and she did all different tricks.
She juggled like bending over backwards and she juggled like down on her knees.
She was very good.
The audience loved her performance as well and then there was a couple of kids that went on in between.
One of them did like a tap dance routine and the other one did football skills.
That was awesome.
He was doing all different football tricks with a ball and then it was Cherry's turn.
Cherry had been goggling with salt water so her voice was a peak performance.
She got on stage and everybody went quiet.
She wasn't expecting the spotlight to shine down on her but it was and it was warm.
She was getting a little bit sweaty.
The fur underneath her armpits was getting a little bit wet and clumpy.
She was panicking just a little bit but she knew that she was gonna put on the performance of her life.
The music started and she started singing.
She did a little bit of a cough first to tune up her voice.
Well I've heard there was a secret chord.
Cherry was singing one of her favourite songs,
Hallelujah.
That Davey played and he pleased the Lord.
She got louder because she was getting more confident.
But you don't really care for music do ya?
She was on her game tonight.
Well it goes like this,
The fourth,
The fifth,
The minor fourth,
The major lift,
The battle king composing Hallelujah.
She was going for it.
All the little veins on a kitty cat neck was standing up.
Her temples were all like pulsing and stressing and she was singing at the top of her voice.
The audience stood up and started clapping.
Cherry was so happy.
OMG!
Are you guys all happy too?
Yeah I know I'm really good.
I know I'm good.
I know I'm really really good.
I'm like one of the bestest singers I've ever heard.
Like my voice is just like an angel.
I know.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Cherry was bowing and bowing and they were trying to get her off stage so that the next child could come on and she wasn't quite ready to come off stage.
Yeah I know and it was the perfect song.
I know.
I know.
I know.
And she's smiling really big and bowing her head as if she was a superstar.
They finally got her off stage.
It was an awesome night.
There were some absolutely fantastic performances.
Afterwards they got to go back to Ben's house and hang out with Ben and have dinner.
His mom had cooked a really yummy dinner.
And over dinner they all talked about the different performances that they saw and their own performances.
Ben said it was one of his best attempts with the bunny coming out of the hat and everyone agreed that he did really really good.
Vea said that she enjoyed it a lot and she would love to come next year if that was okay.
Cherry went on for quite some time about her performance.
Obviously because it was the best one of the night she thought.
Heidi said that she really liked everyone's performances but she particularly liked that girl that was playing the flute and everyone agreed that she did a really good job whoever she was.
Ben said she was called Sally.
Cherry said yeah yeah Sally did such a good job with that flute.
It's really nice.
You know what I thought when I was listening to her play that flute.
What with a combination of Vea playing her glasses and and Sally playing the flute and me singing my Hallelujah song.
That would have been like we could have been on The Voice or we could have been like on what's it called America's Got Talent or like you know we could oh yeah we could we could we could have done that and I think that guy that's on America's Got Talent what's he called that one that's not very nice Simon Simon yes Simon he would have thought we were awesome because you know he only really really likes the really really good ones so I think that yeah I could have made it.
In fact if there were some like talent scouts in the audience tonight I wouldn't be surprised if I get a call.
The cats were laughing at Cherry.
She was in a dream world dreaming away about being famous.
Ben thought it was funny too.
Ben grabbed hold of one of his scarves and twisted it and turned and did a shabam and out popped a bunch of flowers and he passed it to Cherry.
There you go you're so famous said Ben.
Cherry said ah thanks Ben.
I know I know I know I know I'm just too big for this world I know I don't know how people can take it sometimes my light is shining so bright it's like blinding but you know I must admit your lights bright too Ben and so is yours Thea and so is yours Heidi that's why we all get along that's why we're all good together because we all have that like same vibe going on you know what they said don't you they say that your your vibe attracts your vibe is that it no your vibe no what is it your vibe your vibe attracts your tribe that's it and we're a tribe we're quite a tribe I bet you know I bet Rotatuna primary school didn't know what to do with us because we're so talented I bet they were like wow I bet every teacher in that hall tonight was like wow especially when I was singing I mean I know your performances were good alright they were alright they were alright but when I was singing I bet those teachers were just like speechless wow they thought wow that's it that's all they could say anyway yeah so tell your mom this meal is absolutely delicious by the way it is absolutely delicious and now I think we should go because I'm really tired from all the preparation of today it's been weeks that I've been practicing in the shower and I think my vocal cords might need a rest I think I might need to rest them in case one of those talent scout people call me up and I'm on voice tomorrow everyone said good night they hugged and kissed the cats went home to bed they got all snuggly and cuddly on the cat bed Heidi said let's do a body scan meditation tonight to help us to relax too because I'm still excited from today the cats agreed everyone laid with their eyes closed Heidi said take a nice big deep breath breathe all the way down to your toes feel your toes and your paws and your claws and let them get heavy and relax become aware of your legs allow your legs to relax feel your hips and your tail let them get heavy and sleepy relax your spine your head relax your whiskers and your nose and your eyebrows and your ears let your entire cat body relax relax relax Heidi closed her eyes and everyone drifted off into sweet sweet dreams
