The doorbell rang. Cory greeted Moon, one of her close friends, and invited them in. Tucker looked at Cody, Luna, and Alaska. “Oh boy! Oh boy! Leo come look! Come look, Leo! Our friends are here!”

Leo skidded down the steps. “Hi, guys!” Leo smiled. He had overcome a lot of anxiety over the past few weeks. Moon led the dogs in. “Come on, let’s play, Luna! Let’s play, Alaska! Cody, let’s play!” The old chocolate lab said nothing, getting up beside Moon on the couch. Tucker hopped on the couch and sniffed Cody. Moon patted Tucker on his head. “He’s reaching the end of his years, kiddo. Why don’t you go play with Alaska? Or Luna. I’m sure they’ll love to play.”
