This Awesome, Fun Bedtime Story For Kids is about the cats Christmas Day. They get so many gifts they do something wonderful and take a trip to the pound to share some Holiday Cheer & gifts with their friends. Get comfortable in your nice warm bed.

Make sure that you're trying to be still and quiet so that your body can relax as you listen to the story.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veya were fast asleep.

It was Christmas morning.

It was very early.

The sun had barely rose in the sky.

The birds had just started to sing outside of their window.

And Veya opened her eyes first.

She yawned really big and looked at her sisters who were still sleeping.

She thought about whether to get super excited and wake them up or whether to let them sleep.

It took her three seconds before she realized she was too excited.

It was Christmas morning.

She had to wake them up.

Veya shook Cherry and Heidi.

Guys,

Guys,

It's Christmas.

Wake up.

Cherry opened her eyes,

Yawned really big and said,

Oh,

OMG,

OMG,

OMG,

OMG.

It's Christmas,

Christmas,

Christmas,

Christmas,

Christmas,

Christmas,

Christmas.

Merry Christmas,

Guys.

Oh my gosh,

It's Christmas.

I can't believe we've been waiting all year for this.

Can't believe it.

Can't believe it.

What do we do first?

Where do we go first?

What should we do first?

Oh,

I need to pee.

Oh,

I've got to brush my teeth.

Oh,

I can't wait.

I want to go downstairs and see if Santa's come.

I've been so good.

I've been so good.

I've not done anything wrong.

And Elfie on the shelf,

He's been watching and she's been like,

Good job,

Cherry.

Good job.

I'm telling Santa you're doing a really good job.

And every day I've been like,

Thanks.

Thanks,

Elf.

I really appreciate it.

And I've been like,

Adding the days up for like,

What?

360?

No,

No,

350.

Yeah,

351 days.

That started the day after Christmas.

I've been waiting.

Let's go downstairs.

I'm not going to brush my teeth.

I'm just going to skip it.

I'll brush them later.

Mum will be all right.

And he said,

Let's just brush his teeth and go downstairs.

It won't take two minutes.

Cherry said,

Oh gosh,

You know,

Sometimes I really wish you went so normal.

I really wish you weren't so boring.

She hoofed and puffed on her way to the bathroom,

But they all brushed their teeth and she did need to go to the bathroom because she needed to pee.

After that,

The three of them went running down the stairs,

Ran into the living room to find the lights on on the Christmas tree.

Mum and dad were sat on the sofa with a cup of coffee,

Waiting patiently.

Merry Christmas!

Shouted Cherry.

Which ones are mine?

Veya went over to Mum and Dad and gave them a big hug.

Morning.

Um,

Me's so excited.

And Heidi went over to Mum and Dad and gave them a big hug.

Merry Christmas,

Guys!

They went over to the presents and Cherry was already counting hers.

Fifteen!

Oh my gosh,

OMG!

Oh my goodness gracious me!

I have fifteen presents!

The three cats had the same amount of presents.

They started to open the presents one by one.

They got so many cat toys,

Cat treats,

New outfits.

Veya got three different princess outfits.

Cherry got four different new OMG t-shirts.

One had actually got an OMG that was raised off the t-shirt and it had like water in it with little goldfish as if they were swimming through it.

It was so cute!

Heidi got five new books.

She didn't know which one to read first.

She was so excited.

They seemed to have so many presents.

By the time they opened all their auntie's presents and uncle's presents and sister's presents from each other and then friend presents and then of course the fifteen presents that their parents got them,

They must have had so many presents.

They sat down in the middle of the living room on the rug with all of their presents around them.

Mum announced that they had way too many presents and they were very lucky cats.

The cats agreed that they were very,

Very lucky.

Heidi said,

I think I would like to do something with some of my presents.

Something really nice.

We really don't need this much.

Cherry said,

OMG!

I know,

Right!

You know what I was thinking of?

I was thinking of Lucy and Stephanie and Thomas and all his friends at the pound.

I was thinking about all those guys and I was wondering what they were doing for Christmas and I was wondering if they even get presents at the pound.

And then I was wondering about how many presents I really have and whether I am grateful enough to give some away because you know they're all such nice presents and then I was thinking to myself,

Do I really want to keep all my presents?

Do I really want to give any away?

And then I was thinking to myself,

Yeah,

I do.

And you just said it as I was thinking all of that.

You just said it,

Heidi.

I think,

For your interrupted,

I think,

I think too,

Sorry,

Sorry Cherry,

But I,

Me thinks that maybe we could take a trip to the pound today and we could donate some of our presents because we have so many and we really don't need this many.

And that means we could maybe give the cats and some of the dogs that we know at the pound and some of the other animals.

Maybe we could take some snacks and a different fruit and,

You know,

Just maybe spread the Christmas cheer rather than trying to keep it all to ourselves.

Cherry said,

Oh,

OMG,

That's so nice for you.

Yeah,

That's a really good idea.

I think if it's okay with mum and dad,

The three cats all looked at the mum and dad.

Can we take some like Christmas food?

Can we take some of like the Christmas crackers?

You know,

Can we take some of the Christmas dinner that we would be eating?

Because you know,

We always have so much,

So much left,

So many leftovers.

Can we take some some snacks out of the snack cupboard and maybe we can put like bows and ribbons on them and maybe we can just like put like labels on them that say Merry Christmas anonymously.

Oh,

Would it be anonymous?

Is it anonymous or is it anonymous?

No,

It's not anonymous.

It's anon-on-on-on.

No,

Is it anon-on-on-on?

Now I'm so confused.

Heidi said,

You mean anonymous?

Yeah,

I got it right the first time.

Yeah,

Well,

It wouldn't really be anonymous,

Would it?

If we were actually there.

But,

Oh,

I just had the bestest idea.

We could go dressed as Santa.

The cats did have Santa hats.

Heidi said that that was a really good idea and Veya agreed.

She had a Santa hat and she had a red ballerina skirt that was super puffy that she thought would look really cute with the Santa hat.

The cats got ready.

They went through all of their gifts and they picked out three gifts each that they didn't need,

That they were happy to share with some of their friends.

That was nine gifts that they could give.

And then on top of that,

They had so much food and snacks and like little things that you don't really think about,

But the other cats would probably really enjoy like a cat brush or a different like little mouse toy or maybe dog treats,

Dog bones,

Things like that.

Anything that they could think of,

They were going to go and share with some of their friends that weren't so fortunate at this time of year.

The drive to the pound was about 15 minutes.

They listened to Christmas music on the way there.

They felt very festive.

It was the season to be jolly and they wanted to share the jolliness and how lucky they were.

When they got to the pound,

They gave all the workers their big hugs and kisses and then they all hung out on the back garden there at the pound and all the dogs came out and the cats came out and they all got to have different presents and treats and snacks and goodies.

The cats gave their Christmas hats away to some of the dogs and some of the other cats and they even gave her special Santa skirt away to Lucy,

One of her best cat friends.

They had a really nice time.

It felt nicer than actually opening the presents.

Who'd have thought sharing their presents would make their hearts swell even bigger than receiving the presents.

Giving presents to other people that they cared about felt even nicer than receiving presents.

They stayed at the pound for quite some time and then it was time to leave.

When they got home,

They watched a really old movie on TV called Why Christmas.

They snuggled on the sofa together.

They played with some of their new toys.

They drank hot chocolate and they had the best Christmas.

Much better they decided than if they'd have kept everything for themselves.

When it was time to go to bed,

The cats showered,

Put on their comfortable pajamas.

The cats would be there,

The cats would be wailing and the cats would have their echelons with them and they'd hold a book,

Or was about ready to play but this time it was all fur balls.

It's really furry.

But why do you have to brush your teeth twice a day?

I think it's so annoying.

I just don't get it.

I just don't get it.

" Heidi said,

Just brush your teeth.

Faye started laughing.

She was singing,

We wish you a Merry Christmas.

As she brushed her teeth.

We wish you a Merry Christmas.

And a Happy New Year.

They climbed into bed.

Snuggled down with each other.

And Heidi said,

What was one thing that you were grateful for today?

I was really grateful to spend some time with some of our friends at the pound.

Cherry said,

Oh,

I would,

That's my favourite.

Definitely.

That's my favourite too.

Just seeing everyone and seeing how happy they were to see us.

And seeing everyone get like little presents.

It was really nice.

Made my Christmas it did.

Really did.

So nice.

Faye said,

Hmm,

I'm really grateful for you guys.

You're the best.

Everyone closed their eyes.

And started to fall to sleep.

The lights from their tiny little miniature Christmas tree that they had in their bedroom.

Were reflecting all different colours on the walls.

It made their bedroom seem really cosy and warm.

And then it didn't take very long before they were fast asleep.

It was the bestest Christmas day ever.
