My name is Cori,
Welcome.
This meditation,
We're going to go on a journey to build your confidence.
So if you can get comfortable for me,
Make sure that you're sat in a comfortable seated position.
Close down your eyes if you haven't done so already.
Straighten your spine,
Rest your hands on your lap or on your knees.
Just fall into your normal meditation position that feels good for you.
Take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath in through your nose,
So breathe in nice and deep,
All the way down to your abdomen.
And then breathe out through your mouth,
Release,
Let go.
Again,
A nice,
Big,
Deep breath all the way down to your tummy,
Breathe out with a sigh,
Let go.
And then closing down the mouth and just breathing through your nose,
Nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Relax your shoulders down away from your ears and pull all of your focus and attention down into your feet.
Feel the outside of your feet.
Notice if you're wearing any socks or slippers or if you're barefoot,
Just feel the outside of your feet.
Maybe you can feel the air on your skin or the texture of your socks.
Pull your attention inside of your feet and just feel inside what's going on.
Pull your attention into your big toe and feel into your big toes.
See if you can feel any tingling sensations or vibrations.
Just pulling all of your focus and attention into your body.
Let go of everything around you,
Let go of your day,
Just be inside of your feet.
And then pull your attention up into your lower back.
So focus on your sit bones,
Focus on your hips,
The base of your spine.
Feel the sensation of what it feels like in the base of your spine,
Touching your chair or the ground,
Wherever you're sat.
So feel that connection to the earth beneath your sit bones.
And then go inside your body and feel the root,
The base of your spine,
Right where your coccyx is.
See if you can mentally drop into your chair.
Just allow the body to sink a little bit deeper,
As if a flow or a wave of relaxation just went through you and your body got heavier.
Let it just drop.
Maybe on the exhale,
It's easier to feel the body surrender when you breathe out.
When you breathe in,
It feels like we're pulling something into the body,
We're accepting something,
Welcoming the breath.
But when we breathe out,
We release,
We drop,
We surrender,
We let go.
So it makes sense to always try and help your body to relax more,
To soften,
To get heavier or deeper on your exhales.
Try and keep your spine straight,
Even though the rest of your body seems to be going more limp around your spine.
Let your arms get heavy,
Let your legs get heavy.
Bring all of your focus and attention up to the space right there in the middle of your head,
As if you're staring out,
Using your inner sight,
Staring out into the space of darkness there in front of you.
You may see colors or shapes or just complete pitch black.
Stare out into that space,
And just like we've done many times before,
Or if you're new to working with me,
Then you'll easily be able to follow.
Using your imagination,
Imagine that there's a staircase of ten steps there in front of you.
In your mind,
You can see yourself and feel yourself taking a couple of steps forward so that you're standing right there at the top of these ten steps.
The ten steps that are there in front of you going down can look like a staircase that you're familiar with,
Maybe a staircase at home or a staircase at work,
Whatever.
Or it can look however you want it to look.
In your mind,
It's your imagination,
It's your ability to just play and create.
So if you get a staircase that's covered in flowers,
That's fine.
If you get a staircase that looks like clouds that you walk down,
That's fine.
Maybe your staircase,
If you look down at it,
Is made of carpeted stairs,
Maybe it's wooden or tiled.
Look down at your feet standing on that top step and pay attention to if your feet are barefoot or if you're wearing anything on your feet.
Kick off your socks or your shoes or your slippers if you're wearing something on your feet so that you're standing barefoot at the top of these ten steps going down.
And now that you're standing barefoot at the top of the ten steps,
You can feel that tenth step,
The top step underneath your feet.
Wiggle your toes,
Scrunch at the step and like just slide your feet a little bit so that you can feel the texture of your top step today.
You can ground into the sensation of it,
What it feels like underneath your feet.
And as you peer down these ten steps,
You may see a door at the bottom of the ten steps.
You may not,
It might be too dark down there.
I'll explain all about the door when we get down there,
But for now you're going to go down these ten steps with me,
Relaxing deeper and deeper with every step.
Every step that you take,
Starting at the top,
Ten,
Nine,
Eight.
Feel the steps underneath your feet so it feels as if you're walking down them.
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Take a couple of steps forward in your mind so that you're standing directly in front of the door right there.
When we go through this door,
You're going to find yourself in your current bedroom,
What your bedroom looks like.
But for now,
What I'd like you to do is just look at the door there in front of you.
Notice all the details of the door,
What it looks like.
Maybe it looks like your bedroom door at home.
Maybe it looks like a completely different door for you today and that's totally okay.
Just take in the size of the door,
The color.
Is there a doorknob on the left or the right?
When we go in through this door,
In just a few moments,
You'll find yourself in your bedroom.
When you get into the bedroom,
I'd like you to just walk over and lay down on your bed.
On one,
You'll open the door.
When I say two,
In just a few moments,
You'll walk through the doorway.
And then when I say three,
You'll close the door behind you,
Walk into your bedroom and go lay down on your bed.
Ready to go through.
One,
Two,
Three.
Just go lay down on your bed and get comfortable.
Staring up at the ceiling there over your head,
The ceiling is going to start to change into what looks like a projected screen,
Like a movie screen or as if there was a giant TV screen on the ceiling of your bedroom.
So I'd like you to imagine that there.
Right now,
There's nothing playing.
We're going to do a hypnotherapy type of meditation here where you go to what's called the next significant event.
You're going to witness this lifetime,
Your lifetime,
Starting when you were a child.
You're going to allow your mind to show you different memories that come to mind up there on the movie screen so that you can look at them and remember them.
When I say next significant event,
Your mind will jump to a different memory every time.
So that's the gist of this exercise.
This journey.
So staring up there at the TV screen or the projector screen there up on your ceiling,
I'd like you to take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Breathe out through your mouth and relax your body on the bed.
Just looking at the screen there above you.
Allow a memory to start to come to mind of a time where you did something when you were small that you were really,
Really proud of.
Simple as that.
Just let your mind start to go through your memory bank.
To sift through all of the memories to a time when you did something when you were small and you were really,
Really proud of yourself.
If you want to,
You can close your eyes while you think about that memory.
Allow it to come into your mind.
And then when you have the memory and you hold it and you get it and you see it,
Open your eyes as if you're staring at the TV screen there above you.
And you can see as if it's playing a home movie.
You can see the memory playing out there of what you did,
What happened.
You can see your face and maybe how happy you were,
How proud of yourself you were,
How it made you feel super good about yourself and confident.
It doesn't have to be anything spectacular.
Any memory that comes to you where you did something good when you were a child that made you feel proud,
Just allow yourself to recall that and see it as if you're seeing it on the movie screen.
Maybe you can let yourself feel that again.
Let your body,
As if you're that person,
That little you once again.
Let your body fill with that sense of pride or that sense of happiness.
Maybe your parents were really pleased with you.
Maybe not.
Let your body just take on that feeling of confidence,
That feeling of fullness,
Like a bubbly,
Carbonated feeling that goes through your body when you feel really proud.
It feels as if you're expanding a little bit.
And now,
I'd like you to feel as if you're closing your eyes on your bed again and you let go of that scene there on the movie screen.
And that just goes blank and disappears,
But you close your eyes again.
You're going to go to the next significant event in your life where you did something,
Where you felt really,
Really full of confidence.
You felt so good.
Something that you accomplished.
Let your mind go anywhere.
It doesn't have to be in your childhood.
It could be in the last week if you want,
If something's popping up from recently.
But let your mind go wherever it wants to go to a time where you felt good.
And then when you're ready,
Open your eyes and see yourself in that scene on the TV screen there above you on the ceiling.
Watch the scene in your mind playing out.
How did it feel when you did it?
How did it feel when you did that thing that made you feel super good and confident about yourself?
See if you can let it into your cells again.
Relive it in your own body again.
Just feel it.
Feel how awesome you felt.
How awesome you thought you were.
So cool.
We're not spending much time in these memories.
We're just going,
Getting a little blip and then moving on.
Close your eyes down again as if you're closing your eyes on your bed.
Let your mind go to the next significant event.
This time where you went through something very challenging and you were successful and you did it and you accomplished it and you got it done.
Let your mind go to a time and a place where you went through something that was a struggle but you did it and you felt so accomplished,
So confident and good about yourself.
Let your mind bring that memory.
And when it pops into your mind,
See yourself opening your eyes and looking at that scene above you on the ceiling.
Watch your face.
Watch your body language.
Watch the people involved.
Maybe this was something that you thought you'd never be able to achieve.
Or maybe you did think you could do it but you didn't realize you'd do it this good.
Something that you felt so accomplished by.
Just let your whole body swell up with that carbonated pride feeling.
That tingly feeling through your chest,
Your shoulders.
Let your heart expand a little bit.
Let yourself feel happy and proud and confident.
Alright.
Closing down your eyes on your bed there.
Shutting off that memory.
Clearing the slate.
We're going to go to the next significant event of a time that wasn't too long ago where you felt good about yourself.
Something very small or something quite accomplished.
It doesn't matter.
But you did something that made you feel good about yourself which built just a little bit of internal confidence.
Let your mind take you to something recently.
And when you feel like you have a memory that's popped into your head,
Open your eyes and watch it on the TV screen up above.
Watch yourself as if you're watching a movie playing of that event,
That time and place.
Notice your body language.
Notice how you felt.
Maybe you're smiling.
Maybe you look happy or maybe you just look quietly confident.
Absorb it in your body.
See if you can reawaken that feeling just a little bit in your chest and your throat.
You can do hard things.
You can do big things.
You can do difficult things.
You can be confident.
You can be amazing.
You are capable.
Allow yourself to think all those things about yourself.
Evidence.
You have evidence that you have successful moments in your memory bank of you feeling good and confident about yourself.
Now,
When I click my fingers and I count to three,
You'll find yourself back at the bottom of the 10 steps that you originally came down with your eyes still closed.
The difference is now you've got some bubbles inside of your being.
Bubbles filled with that confident energy.
That reminder of who you are at the core.
The reminder that you have and you can do big things and hard things.
You are capable.
I'm going to click my fingers and count to three and you'll find yourself at the bottom of the 10 steps.
One,
Two,
Three.
Looking up those 10 steps,
We're going to come back up the 10 steps and when you get to the top,
You'll feel good.
You'll feel amazing.
You'll feel full of positive energy.
Starting with whichever foot feels right for you.
Let's go.
One,
Two,
Three.
Feel those steps.
Feel like you're walking up them.
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
You can open your eyes and come back into your space.
Back into your physical body.
Maybe just gently wiggle your toes.
Feel your body.
Wiggle your fingers.
Maybe give your neck a little stretch to the left.
To the right.
Coming back into your space.
Namaste,
My friends.
