This guided meditation is the practice of directing attention towards consciousness itself, so the simple awareness of existence shines through. Simply being this pure consciousness by withdrawing attention away from the content of experience reveals the infinite bliss and peace of just Being, a consciousness that is still and clear always, not subject to the chaos and turmoil of ordinary human experience. This meditation will be especially useful for those who practice Advaita Vedanta.

Begin with a very simple noticing of the sense of just being.

Just the awareness of existence itself.

Just being.

Allow your awareness in this present moment to be very gentle,

Very still.

As though awareness,

A consciousness,

Is not being stretched towards anything.

Instead it's resting upon whatever it happens to be landing upon.

Simply do not stretch your attention anywhere.

Just let go and you will feel that attention naturally returns home,

Comes back to source.

So being aware of awareness itself and don't go looking for anything.

Do not search for something to place attention upon.

Just leave everything alone and awareness will rest.

Simply be as though there is just nothing of any interest anywhere.

In the external world or the internal world,

There is a vague awareness of something happening.

But be completely disinterested as though all experience is simply unimportant.

Just being.

Consciousness.

Empty.

Without experience.

Just consciousness itself.

All of the usual elements of experience that we ordinarily fixate upon become obsessed with.

They have now simply vanished.

There is no external world.

There is no body.

There is no mind.

There is no imagination.

There is no person.

There is no world.

There is just this pure consciousness.

Awareness alone.

Recognise that attention,

Through force of habit,

Continually tries to find something to stretch towards and therefore place awareness upon.

But do not engage in this habit.

Do not indulge.

Just let attention go completely.

Do not engage in the action of placing attention anywhere.

Just leave everything alone and attention naturally draws back home to awareness.

And just be as this awareness.

Nothing to be done.

Totally discard any ideas about being a person,

Being a body.

Discard any ideas about spiritual seeking or awakening.

Even discard any ideas about inner peace.

Just let everything go and this peace naturally be discovered and this is the awakening.

Remain immersed in this peace of being.

Empty.

Free.

In a moment we will be leaving the formal aspect of this meditation.

But recognise that you always have this choice,

This power of where you're placing your attention.

And even in situations where you are ordinarily busy or stressed,

Just try letting go a little and inviting attention to come back home to source.

Just abide as awareness even in the midst of ordinary experience.

You will see how things change for you.

Thank you for meditating with me today.

Take care,

Be well and stay present.

Corin. Love this meditation.🙏💖 Nice and short and yet powerful. I feel so peaceful !! This deserves much much much more than just 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!! I laughed at how quickly I forgot and let the mind pulled me back to thoughts again and again during this meditation. 😄. As soon as I noticed awareness, I'm back as pure consciousness. I love that after attending your shadow work lives for 4 months, I have more courage to face the raw emotions (now no labels) and see how quickly they are being resolved. Thank you so much Corin!! 🙏😇🙏
