Welcome to today's exploration of honoring all that we are,

Even our messy parts.

This is especially potent when we are entering into a new season or new year of life,

As it is a true game-changer to reset our deserving set point.

When we are entering into a new year or season of life,

I hear everyone talk about self-improvement and making things better,

The habit of letting go of this and that,

And yet I bet most people will not be able to stick to their new resolutions,

As we are just creatures of habits.

The love for a magic pill that fixes everything and the unwillingness to do anything is growing stronger every day.

We often tend to get a bit afraid or overwhelmed by the thought of really facing our messy parts.

Because in the online industry,

So many promises are made with shiny objects trying to make us believe that there is a five-step approach or magic bullet to fix everything without us having to face any of the discomfort.

Or we are taught that we are only allowed to have happy thoughts and feelings at all times.

I feel this can be very dangerous,

Because it sets so many of us up for failure,

As let's be honest,

There is no one-shoe-fits-all approach,

We are all individuals and have individual circumstances,

Experiences,

Needs,

And developed coping mechanisms.

In my experience,

There is a need for us to become aware of these developed coping strategies and mechanisms that play out in our lives.

And we equally need to become aware of the things that create discomfort within our own being to be able to experience life to the fullest.

As long as we are denying parts of us that are messy or uncomfortable,

We can't fully experience joy or deep fulfillment.

There is always a need for darkness and light.

Yet we often just don't want to see our messy parts.

We don't want to own up to them.

We tend to be afraid that if we open our eyes and really examine our behaviors or coping strategies,

It will be too much work to change.

And this can feel scary.

But let's be honest,

Staying stuck and not feeling well in our body,

Our bank account,

Is just not serving us.

Equally,

If we only focus on the positive,

We spiritually bypass and often end up feeling even more lost and disconnected from who we truly are,

As we deny parts of us.

Being more aware of our messy parts helps us to shift our behaviors so we can finally create the lasting change we crave for in our lives and businesses.

This is not achieved by doing more or working harder or excuse the language,

Trying to manifest the shit out of it,

But rather by changing our perspective,

Going within,

Getting to know ourselves more,

And allowing ourselves to actually slow down for a short period of time.

When we slow down,

We actually get to our desired goals much quicker,

As we are not trying to emotionally bypass what's going on in our subconscious mind.

We are actually able to align to our soul with more ease,

So we can manifest the business,

Life,

And health we desire because we align our frequency to receive.

By becoming aware of our developed coping strategies,

Subconscious beliefs,

Or how I'd like to call it,

Underlying disturbances,

We are able to create lasting change from the inside out.

In the next few episodes,

We will dive into the different coping mechanisms and saboteurs that might play out in our lives.

So make sure you listen to them too.

For now,

I invite you to start out with daily check-ins with yourself,

So you can build awareness of what is present in your everyday life and use the awareness to become more clear on how the coping strategies that you had to develop over your life might affect your overall well-being and performance in life and business.

Grab a pen and paper and start by reflecting on yesterday and the week that has gone so far.

You can come back to this more thoroughly after you finish listening to the episode.

And just really write down what feelings,

Sensations,

Or emotions and situations stand out for you and come up for you.

And are you happy with how you dealt with them?

If you feel called to build a deeper awareness over time,

You can dedicate a digital journal or paper journal to this.

Usually it's most effective to have the daily check-ins over a period of a month or so.

So you can become deeply aware of what has truly been playing out in your life in this time period.

As you check in,

Also make sure to note down if you've tried to smother your feeling,

Put down your emotions,

Forget about them,

Or try to soothe yourself with a reactive habit like grabbing the next piece of chocolate,

Netflix binge watching,

Or any other destructive behaviors.

Please know that there is nothing wrong with chocolate or watching a movie as long as it fulfills you and makes you happy,

And is not used as a coping mechanism to distract yourself from unpleasant feelings.

If you experience this,

Know that it's totally okay.

We've all been there.

Just pause for a moment,

Take a breath,

And know you have the power to change as you bring more awareness to your life,

And start to take tolerable steps towards a life in alignment with who you truly are.

Each time you observe and notice a certain pattern playing out in your life,

As you do your daily check-ins,

You have the opportunity to rewire your experience.

Start by taking a nice deep breath,

And reflect on a time in your life where you have experienced these feelings and sensations and emotions before.

What did you actually feel?

And what would this younger part of you have needed to hear or experience instead of what was playing out for you at the time?

Imagine or envision that this younger part of you got what they needed at the time,

Before you ride it all out and bring this newfound awareness into your days and weeks ahead.

When you experience these emotions and feelings that come up,

Please don't judge them,

Or point your finger at yourself for being wrong,

Or go into victim mode.

This would not change the situation you've experienced,

But rather reinforce it.

See witness and honor them instead.

It doesn't make it right what has happened to you,

But it changes how you move forward in your life with it.

You can even talk to this younger part of you and reassure them that you are here for them,

You survived,

And you are ready to create a life they might not even have been able to dream of at the time.

If you are familiar with EFT,

You can also use this as an opportunity to tap on whatever emotions,

Memories,

Or sensations come up for you.

This helps you to go through your life with more awareness,

And to shift the impact these old stories and memories hold on you even quicker.

As you build this awareness and stop emotionally bypassing your whole environment and surroundings,

You will see that your life has the opportunity and potential to change.

At this state,

It is time to create new goals,

Dreams,

And resolutions,

As they will stick much more easily.

By going slower,

By taking this time and really becoming aware of what is present for you,

You can finally speed up your business and personal success on your own terms.

You can also use this time to reflect on what you are doing now,

What you are doing now,

And how you are doing now.
