This particular meditation is called the Golden Light Meditation.
Gold is a very grounding and protecting colour and I invite you to sit back and connect into your energy in this moment.
I want you to,
First of all,
Connect to your physical energy or maybe your emotional energy or even your mental energy.
Just be curious as to where your attention goes in this moment.
If you're experienced with meditation,
You'll know how to bring your attention back to the moment.
You won't allow yourself to go into the life stories that are presented by your thoughts.
But if you do,
You can always bring your attention back to your breath.
All you have to do is engage your attention into your breath.
You can imagine having a weight on your feet,
Like an anchor at your feet.
And this,
With your breath,
Helps you come back to this moment.
So wherever your mind drifts off to,
You notice you're drifting and you come back to the breath.
Just noticing it moving in and out.
And this allows your attention to anchor back into this moment.
You give yourself permission to be in this moment.
Now the nice way to do this is perhaps to focus in on your sense of touch.
And just notice where your body is in time and space.
Where your feet rest.
Where your legs are.
How is your back supported?
The location of your arm and hands.
The connection between fingers or eyelids on eyes.
Or hair on the back of your neck.
You're just noticing that sense of touch that's bringing you into this moment again and again.
Now I invite you to pay attention perhaps to the emotional energy.
When we do this,
It sometimes goes very quiet at first as we pay attention to how we feel.
Or sometimes we become very aware of what we're feeling.
Whatever you're feeling,
Let's honour it in this moment and let's value it.
Let's allow ourselves to accept this feeling in this moment.
When we're young,
We're often taught only to allow the good feelings and to keep the bad ones out.
All that does is build up pressure within.
If we allow these perceived bad feelings to flow through us,
Through the heart,
Pressure actually reduces inside.
And even then,
The sense of fear about acknowledging and breathing in those feelings can come up.
We can breathe in that fear too.
We can breathe in the resistance through the heart.
Just do whatever feels right for you and know that you're in a very safe space.
As we've been together and connecting through this meditation,
There's been a beautiful guanyin bubble forming around you.
What does that look or feel like to you?
It really depends on how you perceive it,
How you sense it.
In the same way that you perceive your thoughts,
Your body,
Your feelings,
It's unique to you.
This is the energy of guanyin.
I can suggest that the energy of guanyin is loving,
Kind,
Balanced,
Empowering.
So just imagine whatever qualities you need in this moment forming in that bubble around you right now.
Either side of you,
In front of you,
Behind you,
Above and below you.
This is your guanyin bubble,
Your guanyin space.
Allow yourself to rest into it with each breath,
Physically,
Mentally and emotionally.
You may wish to imagine that the energy is like the sweet smell of incense helping to soothe your energy in this moment.
Often when we think about guiding energy,
We perceive it as being outside of us.
It's in addition to who we think we are.
But if we hold the cosmos in our heart,
Then within the heart we also have the energy of guanyin.
So I invite you to think of the space in the centre of your chest as a beautiful golden lotus.
And this energy of gold and light starts to radiate from your heart,
From the cosmic heart and into your heart awareness.
Whatever qualities you need in this moment to support yourself,
Whether that's love,
Kindness,
Peace,
Joy or happiness.
Just imagine those qualities are there for you already.
And you're offering a simple invitation to yourself to connect your golden lotus in your heart to the energy of guanyin within you.
I invite you to imagine that that golden lotus is gently rotating now in whichever direction is right for your energy right now.
As it connects into the cells of your body,
A beautiful light.
Whatever you've held on to that has felt important or necessary,
That perception of how you think you should be,
Gently starts to change.
That golden light of the lotus flows into your awareness now,
Giving you permission to flow throughout your chest,
Into every cell of your physical body and bring it into balance with peace in this moment.
The golden light continues to flow and it moves beyond this physical presentation of you,
Moving now into the emotional energy that is yours.
Waves,
Frequencies of different emotions that you carry within your physical frequency.
Golden lotus light runs like a river through these emotions,
Bringing balance and peace and joy.
The emotional cells within your emotional body are filling and flowing with the golden light within you.
As the lotus light in your chest continues to gently rotate,
It now connects into the frequencies of your mental energy,
The pattern and the neurons and the pathways of thought which are beyond the brain and the mind.
But are in every single part of your mental body.
The blueprint currently exists,
Which starts to absorb this golden light like a sponge,
Moving through the frequency of your mental energy,
Bringing balance,
Bringing awareness,
Bringing insights.
The golden lotus light carries the energy of Quan Yin,
Of peace and compassion.
The lotus light in your heart continues to shine in every direction from within you.
It shines into your Yin female energy on your left.
It shines into your male Yang energy on your right.
It shines into your past behind you and into your future before you.
It shines into the earth beneath you and to the stars above you.
It radiates out into all dimensions,
All aspects of the cosmos and to all frequencies of existence of the cosmos within you.
Aware of that beautiful Quan Yin bubble,
Aware of it connecting with you.
Supporting that beautiful golden lotus in your heart.
And you know that you carry that golden lotus in your heart wherever you go,
Turning to it whenever you need it,
Whenever you remember it's there.
Carrying it into your breath through the day and through the night.
I invite you now to bring your gentle attention back through the cosmos and the frequencies of your mental body.
Engaging your awareness back with your emotional energy.
And now into the physical presence of this moment.
Your body in time and space through the sense of touch.
Awareness of your feet,
Your legs.
You engage with your breath,
Welcoming it back,
Following its journey in and out.
In your own time bringing a little bit of movement to fingers and toes.
Opening your eyes when you feel ready.
