Transcript

Is a meditation practice.

So I just want you to set up for that.

Bring yourself to a comfortable seat or even laying down.

Roll your shoulders down your spine.

Rest your hands on your knees,

Your thighs.

Feel free to keep your eyes open or close them if you wish.

Take some long,

Slow deep breaths in and out.

And I want you to think about one thing that you are grateful for in your life.

If you're going through a hard time,

It can be harder.

I know.

But right now,

I want you to think about just one moment in your life that you are grateful for.

Maybe something that has happened.

I want you to bring that moment,

That thing,

That person into mind,

Into your heart right now.

And I want you to allow that feeling or that sensation of gratitude to grow.

Like a seed planted in your heart.

Feel that gratitude in your body.

Really take yourself to that moment or that experience.

I mean,

Even if it's like,

I'm grateful for the color green.

I'll imagine myself in a forest or a jungle just surrounded by green.

Right now,

I'm imagining an experience with a family member.

So imagine yourself there,

Like in it.

And remember how you feel or felt in that moment.

And bring that back up in your body.

And allow it to grow and deepen.

Notice what gratefulness feels like in your body.

Allow it to double and triple and quadruple to get bigger and bigger.

Really like be in that moment.

Remember as much detail as you can.

And I ask you to think of another time or another moment or another experience that you're grateful for.

Remember it in your mind's eye and bring it back up in your body.

Think about a time in which you experienced happiness,

Joy,

And bring yourself back to that moment.

Be in that moment and feel it in your body.

Really remember every detail.

Where you were,

How you felt,

What did you smell,

What did you see,

Who was there,

Allow the gratefulness to build up even more in your body.

Really be in the moment.

Be in the experience.

Cultivate this physical sensation of gratitude in your body.

And then think of one more thing you're grateful for.

One more moment,

One more experience.

And again,

Imagine yourself there.

Imagine yourself in it.

Feel the sensations in your body.

Remember how you felt.

Touch on that sensation once again,

Bringing it up in this moment,

Really compounding this sensation.

Be in this experience of gratitude,

Joy,

Happiness,

Whatever it is that you would use as descriptors.

Cultivating this sensation in your body and start to focus on your breath.

And every time you breathe in,

You can imagine just like a little pearl that's in your chest.

And when you inhale,

Think about the pearl going all the way up into the top of your head,

Through your head and connecting to the skies or the heavens above you.

And when you exhale,

Imagine that pearl coming all the way down the body,

Through the body,

All the way down through the pelvis,

The legs,

And all the way down deep into the earth.

Just follow this pearl as it runs back up through the body with your inhale,

All the way up,

Past the heart,

Past the head,

Up into the heavens.

And then back down again.

Imagine that you are spreading and sharing this gratitude,

This happiness,

This joy,

Like you're a conduit.

Imagine the pearl as you breathe,

Heading up into the sky,

Into the ethers,

Into space,

And then back down through the body,

Back down through the feet,

All the way down into the earth,

Down to the center of the earth.

Maybe you can cultivate more joy,

More gratitude,

More love.

Imagining it not only heading up into the skies and down into the earth,

But surrounding you as well.

Stay in the moments of gratitude,

Cultivating this sensation and sharing it with the world.

What the world needs now is more love,

More joy,

More happiness,

More forgiveness,

More compassion,

More empathy.

Take the time to be a light standing out against the dark.

I need these times,

I need these meditations to remind myself to not get stuck in the drama,

To not get lost in the chaos,

To not see my truth as complete and utter shit.

But to remember the good,

To remember what's important to me,

To remember how I want to feel,

How I choose to feel every day.

And this is it.

Even when it's hard,

Even when I find it difficult to find something,

I have these memories to touch upon,

To create,

To share.

Take a few more breaths.

Think about your three things that you're grateful for once again.

And when you're ready,

Start to wiggle fingers and toes.

When you feel ready,

You can open your eyes.

Going back to this moment.

Thank you for joining me and allowing me to guide you today.

Namaste.
