This meditation has been written and designed to be listened to while you are nursing your baby or while you are pumping to help fully relax the body and allow your breast milk to flow effortlessly.
In this guided meditation,
You will become aware of your body supplying your baby with exactly what it needs without any stress,
Anxiety,
Or effort from you to do so.
Let's begin by closing your eyes and finding a comfortable position.
Whether you're hearing the sound of your baby nestling deeper or the sound of your breast pump,
It's now time to let any sounds just be.
There is no need to change your environment or experience anything other than true relaxation.
Allow your body to settle in the chair that's supporting you entirely.
Feel the weight of your body melting deeper and deeper and deeper into your supporting surface.
Bring awareness to the heaviness of your arms as they comfort and cradle and nurture your baby.
Bring awareness to your breath as you start to slowly breathe in and out.
As you inhale,
Envision bursts of air going deep into your body and filling your lungs in the most natural way possible.
With very little effort from you,
The air continues to spread through every part of you,
Breathing air into your heart,
Into your chest,
Into your stomach,
And into your breasts,
Into your arms and hands that support your baby in every way it needs you most.
If thoughts begin to come up to the front of your mind,
Meet them with acknowledgement and take comfort in knowing that this time is for you to nurture your baby and focus on your breath.
Let any thoughts fade into the background and bring your awareness back to breathing in and breathing out.
Become aware of your attention shifting to your heart now,
To the very center of your being.
Feel the sensations of warmth and strength coming from inside of you,
From your chest,
Your inner center.
And start to notice that as you focus on your center,
You become aware of your energy pooling and flowing to this one area inside of you.
Inhaling for 1,
2,
3.
Exhaling for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Recognize that your breath out is becoming naturally longer than your breath in.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow your mind to drift off to a place where you can visualize total relaxation.
Maybe this place of relaxation is surrounded by warm water as you sit entirely submerged in a bath.
Or maybe you find yourself in a space of quiet and calm in an environment that is new or unfamiliar to you.
Whatever your place of total relaxation looks like,
Perfect.
Experience the sensations of warmth and calm and tranquility that are surrounding you.
Everything in this moment feels right.
Everything in this moment feels exactly as it should.
Allow your body to relax into these sensations.
Feel any areas of tension remaining to release.
Your baby knows exactly what to do in this moment.
And so does your body.
Take comfort in knowing that your baby is being supplied with the nutrients that it needs to thrive.
And your body knows exactly how to give your baby what it needs.
Without you thinking about it at all.
Because when you're nursing your baby,
The milk is not flowing from your body,
It's flowing through your body.
Feel the sensations of calm,
Of warmth.
If at any point throughout this meditation,
You find yourself needing to reposition yourself or your baby,
Find yourself able to do so with ease while remaining connected to your breath in the calm environment that you have created for yourself.
It feels easy to breastfeed.
And as you continue to hear the sound of my voice,
You can recognize in yourself that that statement is true.
Your body knows exactly what it's doing in this moment.
Your body was meant for this.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
In your mind,
Visualize your baby.
Feel your baby latched onto your breast.
And feel the warmth of their body radiating into yours.
Become aware that your baby is connected to you in this natural and beautiful way.
See your baby's face clearly through your mind's eye.
See your baby so clearly on the screen in your mind as you become aware of the magic of life.
Of your body's ability to create life.
Your ability to feed and nurture your baby through your body.
Open into the sense of wonder.
Everything your body has and continues to do.
Sense warm light radiating down onto you.
Feel the aura of this light seeping deep into your body.
Notice the energy in which this light provides for you.
The life you have created that rests in your arms.
Notice how you can maintain complete relaxation while letting your abundance flow through your body.
To your baby,
Feel a deep sense of healing that has happened within you as you continue to feed and nourish.
You are healing as you nourish.
Open your heart and allow your mind to absorb these positive beliefs.
These powerful and permanent affirmations that you have created within yourself.
My body was made to do this.
My baby and my body are learning and working together.
My baby is being provided with the perfect amount of milk and nutrients that it needs to thrive.
My body is providing all the nourishment my baby needs.
My body knows exactly how to breastfeed my baby.
This child handpicked me to be their mom.
I trust my body to produce milk for my baby.
My baby is getting all of the nutrients they need from my milk.
I can fully relax and enjoy this special bonding time for just us two.
And when you are ready,
Take another long slow breath in,
Filling your body with contentment.
As this nursing session comes to a close,
Open your eyes and bring your awareness back to the room around you.
As you do so,
Take comfort in knowing that this deep connection to your inner peace,
Your body,
And your baby will remain with you.
