Find a comfortable position.

Let yourself settle.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in.

Cool,

Clean,

Clear.

Exhale softly.

A quiet release.

Again,

Inhale,

Fresh and full.

Exhale,

Slow and smooth.

Let your shoulders slacken.

Let your jaw loosen.

Let your breath become steady and kind.

You are safe to slow down.

You are safe to rest.

Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a garden in early March.

Winter still lingers here,

But it's loosening its grip.

The air is crisp yet gentle.

It smells of wet soil and waking earth.

Patches of snow scatter up the ground,

Softened,

Sunspotted,

Slowly surrendering.

As you step forward,

The earth beneath you yields slightly,

No longer frozen,

Just tender.

You hear the subtle sound of dripping water,

Snow slipping into streams,

Ice easing into flow.

Birdsong drifts through the air,

Light,

Lyrical,

Alive.

Take a breath and walk fully into the garden.

Look down at the ground beneath your feet.

Dark soil,

Damp earth,

Patient and prepared.

The freeze is fading.

The land is learning how to breathe again.

Water winds its way towards the nearby pond,

Sliding over stones,

Sparkling in the sunlight.

Let this thaw mirror your own,

Anywhere you have felt rigid,

Heavy,

Hardened by the long winter.

Imagine warmth reaching those places now,

Softening,

Soothing.

Let this remind you,

Growth doesn't need to be loud to be real.

Progress does not need to be visible to be valid.

Breathe in sunlight,

Golden and gentle.

Breathe out winter weariness.

Breathe in sunlight,

Golden and gentle.

Breathe out winter weariness.

Energy is returning.

Light is lengthening.

You are coming back to yourself.

Follow the sound of water.

You arrive at a small pond.

Its surface is smooth and shimmering.

Ice is broken apart,

Leaving room for reflection and ripples.

A wooden bench rests near the edge,

Weathered,

Welcoming,

Wise.

Sit down.

Feel the steadiness beneath you.

Birds flutter nearby.

Wings whisper through the air.

Place one hand on your heart,

One hand on your belly.

Feel your breath move,

Slow and steady,

Like water finding its way home.

From this peaceful place,

Turn your attention to the month ahead.

A month of melting.

A month of movement.

Ask yourself,

What wants to grow in me now?

What wants to grow in me now?

Do not force an answer.

Let it float softly.

A word may arise,

Maybe a color,

A quiet knowing.

Perhaps it's renewal,

Consistency,

Courage,

Calmness.

Whatever comes is enough.

Imagine planting this intention beside the pond,

Pressed into the soil with care.

The sun warms it.

The water nourishes it.

Time takes care of the rest.

Trust the season.

Trust the spring.

Trust yourself.

Take a deeper breath in.

Feel warmth spreading through your chest.

Silently repeat,

I allow myself to thaw.

I allow myself to thaw.

Lift your gaze.

Bare branches stretch skyward and tucked along their tips,

Tiny buds,

Small,

Silent,

Strong with promise.

Nothing is blooming just yet.

Nothing is rushing.

Below the surface,

Roots are readying.

Seeds are stirring.

Life is listening for its moment.

I allow myself to thaw.

What wants to grow in me now?

Trust.

Exhale slowly,

Long and lingering.

Know that this garden lives within you and you can return whenever you need the reminder or the renewal.

Begin to notice your body again.

Notice the surface beneath you,

The space that surrounds you.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes and carry the sense of softness,

Strength and springtime that's stirring within you.

Feel the energy.

Allow yourself to thaw.

Allow something wonderful to grow inside.
