Balancing the chakras, relaxing the body and mind, calming the breath, opening and expanding the energy, whilst boosting the mind and strength with affirmations. Enjoy this time to slow the breathing and mind, which will gradually continue in day to day life. Notice the calm and inner strength, and keep it with you.

Welcome to Chakra and Affirmation meditation with me Claire Cockle.

So firstly I want you to find a comfortable position whether that be sitting with your feet uncrossed and on the ground,

Hands resting in the lap or perhaps you'd like to lay down for this meditation.

Make sure that you feel nice and comfortable.

Just take a minute to relax the shoulders.

Let the arms feel heavy and relaxed.

Allow all the muscles in the face to relax.

And let the legs feel deeply relaxed.

Now take your focus to your breathing.

Notice in how your breathing feels.

Right now we don't want to fix or change anything.

We're just observing and noticing how it feels.

Notice the rise and fall from the tummy and chest as you breathe in and as you breathe out.

Notice how the air is cooler as you breathe in than when you breathe out.

Now I just want you to start by taking three deep breaths.

So breathing in right to the very top.

Hold that breath and let that go.

And again just breathing in nice and deep right to the very top.

Hold that breath and let that go.

And the last time,

Your biggest breath for today.

Deep breath in right to the very top.

Hold and let that go.

And now back to your natural relaxed rhythm of the breath.

Each time we let go of any thoughts that don't serve us.

Letting go of any tensions.

Letting go of any thoughts from the day.

Bringing ourself into this present moment.

And as we breathe in,

We breathe in peace and calm.

Now I want you to breathe down to where the base of your body sits.

Just below the base of your spine.

Your root here.

Our root chakra is our chakra of grounding and belonging.

And just let your body soften here and open with the breath.

Welcome in the colour red.

Nourish your root chakra with red.

Grounding you into the present.

Say the words in your mind.

I am here.

I am calm and at peace.

The universe supports me.

Now take your focus just up to your sacral chakra.

Just below your navel.

The chakra of creativity.

Our inner child and our love for life.

Breathe in to your sacral chakra.

Let it soften and let it open with your breath.

Welcome the colour orange.

The warm colour of sunset.

Nourish your sacral chakra with orange.

Balancing and motivating.

Say the words in your mind.

I embrace creativity and pleasure in abundance.

I allow my creativity to flow and I follow life's flow.

Now take your focus to your solar plexus.

Just above your navel.

The chakra of personal power,

Life purpose and self worth.

Breathe in to your solar plexus.

Let it soften and open with your breath.

Welcome here the colour yellow.

Like bright rays of sunshine.

Nourish your solar plexus with yellow to restore and to nurture.

Say the words in your mind.

I have a great inner strength.

I am good enough.

I honour myself.

Now move your focus up to the centre of your chest.

To your heart.

Our chakra of self acceptance,

Compassion and unconditional love.

Softly breathe in to your heart chakra.

Letting it relax and soften with your breath.

Welcome in the colour green of fresh grass or a delicate rose pink.

Whichever you are drawn to.

Nourish your heart with this colour.

Let it heal.

Feel your chest opening and expanding.

Imagine there is a flower in the centre of your chest in this colour.

Watch it bloom.

Petal after petal after petal.

Slowly opening,

Expanding and blooming into this full colour.

Say the words in your mind.

I am loved.

I give and receive love.

I live in balance and harmony with others.

I am worthy of unconditional love.

Now take your focus up to your neck.

Your throat.

The chakra of communication,

Of truth and self expression.

Allow your throat to soften and open with your breath.

Welcoming the colour blue.

The colour of sky.

Breathe this colour into your throat.

Clearing and allowing you to express your thoughtful truth.

Say the words in your mind.

I carefully and thoughtfully speak my truth.

I am gentle with my words.

I express myself effectively.

I listen and communicate with others well.

Now take your focus to your forehead.

Between your eyebrows.

Your third eye chakra.

Allow clarity,

Insight and understanding.

Allow your third eye chakra to soften and open with your breath.

Welcoming the colour indigo like the night sky.

Nourish your third eye with indigo.

Say the words in your mind.

Everything is just as it should be.

Now to the top of your head.

Your crown.

The chakra of oneness.

Welcome a light violet.

Softly nourishing your crown.

Breathe in this light violet to the top of your head.

Say the words in your mind.

I am at one with the universe.

Now breathe in to your core.

Breathe in with I am full with the energy of life.

I am balanced.

I am perfect just as I am.

Now take your focus back to your breathing.

Notice how your breathing now feels.

Notice again the rise and fall of the tummy and chest.

In its natural relaxed rhythm.

Now imagine on the soles of your feet there are roots like the roots of trees.

These roots are going deep into the ground.

They are keeping you grounded,

Stable and strong.

Like the roots of trees they are giving you all the nutrients you need in this life.

Right now they are filling you up with positivity,

With energy,

With love,

With love for life.

They are feeding you with creativity,

With passion and with acceptance.

Feel these positive nutrients filling up your body.

Filling up with everything you could need.

Now take a deep breath in and out.

Let that go.

Now we are gradually going to start to reawaken the body and the mind.

Gradually becoming more aware of the present moment.

More aware of the space around you.

You can start to move fingers and toes.

Bringing yourself back and awakening the mind.

Whenever you are ready you can open your eyes and stretch if you need to.

Enjoy and keep this calm,

This peace and this moment of relaxation with you.
