Hi,

My name's Claire Parrish and welcome to this hypnotherapy for stress management.

Be sure to be seated in a comfortable position with your feet on the earth or you can lie down if you prefer,

But be sure not to drive or be in charge of any machinery whilst listening to this recording.

So closing down your eyes,

Starting to relax your shoulders,

Breathing deeply into your stomach and notice the air rise from your stomach to your chest and then exhale.

As you arrive into this space,

Giving yourself this time,

Knowing that you haven't got anything else to do,

Anywhere else to be,

But be here in this moment.

Giving yourself up to be curious,

To be open-minded and to receive these words and guidance to support you to de-stress.

So imagine if you will,

A beautiful golden light entering through an opening in the crown of your head.

The light flows down through your face and into your neck,

Into your throat.

Imagine it,

This golden light.

Experience the energy from that light and take it down across your shoulders,

Down into the arms and the hands,

Down into the chest and focus that golden light around the heart area.

Feel it gently pulsating,

Breathing,

Slowly,

Rhythmically,

Now down into the stomach.

Feel and sense that wonderful feeling,

The glowing,

Warming sensation,

Melting,

Draining down your body,

Into the hips,

The thighs,

The legs,

The feet and down to the toes and the golden light enters your bloodstream and is carried around the bloodstream,

Into the meridians,

The little rivulets of golden energy and feel a sensation of peace and letting go.

Peace and letting go.

Let go.

Relax and in your mind imagine a beautiful red rose in a tight bud,

The petals as soft as velvet and as you breathe in the rose very slowly it begins to open,

Slowly unfolds,

A beautiful deep red rose and with every breath it opens more fully into a lovely bloom,

A beautiful red rose,

Rich and soft and velvety with a wonderful fragrance,

Like a rose garden on a warm summer's evening.

The perfume enters your nostrils and as it opens fully,

The petals spreading outwards,

You notice the centre of the rose,

Deep inside the rose,

Glows like a crimson sky,

A glow from a glorious sunset and the glowing centre becomes brighter,

A brighter shade of red and the light begins to spread to the petals until the whole rose is glowing with a bright radiant light and with a sudden burst the rose is a beautiful flame,

Contained within the shape of this rose,

There is no heat,

Just pure energy combined with the beauty of the rose,

This image is there,

You can see it,

You can sense the beauty of this wonderful flame and the flame is confined within the rose,

See it clearly in your mind and the energy vibrates and you breathe in this beautiful energy and it makes you feel good,

It makes you feel relaxed,

It fills you with positive vibrations,

Higher vibrations and just keep that image there in your mind and focus completely on the rose as I talk to your unconscious mind,

Relax and let go.

Is your life a perpetual motion machine?

Do you feel that you are driving through life in second gear,

Wound out tightly and working hard?

This cycle is designed to help you shift into high gear and make the going easier and smoother.

Everyone probably needs a certain amount of stress to grow and to develop but managing the many stressful situations in life is the goal of this hypnotherapy.

Everyone experiences stress in one form or another,

Physical stress,

Mental stress,

Emotional stress,

Even spiritual stress.

A relaxation break is like a pause in the chatter of life.

A football player on the field must often take several steps backward to avoid being tackled and yet he proceeds toward the goal.

You also can learn to take a step or two backward to catch your breath and gain new perspective before making your moves.

As I realise now that I am deeply relaxed,

I can also achieve this relaxation at other times and places.

When I take a few minutes to close my eyes,

I can re-experience this calm feeling whenever I wish and as I practice this daily,

This calmness,

This harmony becomes a part of my life.

When I close my eyes for a few minutes and stepping back,

Take a deep breath,

I can mentally say and repeat the word,

Relax.

I achieve internal centering or quietening.

This simple exercise balances my actions and my thoughts and my thoughts with my actions and then the more demands that are put on me,

The more strength I have when I open my eyes and through these moments of quiet that I am practicing,

I am understanding myself and others better.

I learn to rise above stressful situations by working toward the best solution and not being held down by the problem or by my real or imagined fears of it.

I am always learning to keep my ideals and goals in sight by focusing on the greater good to be achieved beyond the obstacles.

I am experiencing harmony on a mental,

Physical,

Emotional and spiritual level.

As I step toward peace,

Acceptance and fulfilment on each level,

I become happier,

Healthier,

More loving person,

Stronger within myself and therefore more able to cope with the world.

As a mental exercise,

I can imagine myself as an automobile.

I can start my day as I start my car then slowly and carefully I shift into higher gear.

I am aware of the traffic and the conditions around me.

I take the best roads toward my daily objective and make careful choices at new intersections.

Most of the time I cruise in high gear but I am aware that any time I can shift down to a lower speed,

I control the flow of energy at all times and when my day is done,

I reverse the process and start slowing down.

When in the morning I geared up my speed,

Now I gear myself down to a quiet idle.

For now my work is done.

I tune down the engine,

Now I take time to reflect on the day and be thankful that I did the best I could.

I visualise myself as always in complete control,

Aware of what I'm doing and why.

I see myself taking short relaxation breaks during the activities of the day.

I hear friends and fellow workers telling me how calm and yet more efficient I have become.

I feel myself taking a few minutes to step back and think before doing a new job so that I do not need to waste time or steps.

Then I feel myself step forward and carefully use my time and energy in the most efficient ways.

I plant in my mind a vivid image or symbol of my success.

I experience this goal image as already accomplished.

I am picturing a positive result.

After taking daily relaxation breaks,

I am far more dynamic and productive when I open my eyes and take action.

The more I am asked to do,

The more ability I have to do it with and do it in a calm,

Assured and positive way.

On the count of five,

I'm coming back into my body,

Noticing the sensations in your fingers and toes.

And on the count of five,

You'll be wide awake,

Feeling fresh,

Amazing and ready to start the day.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Repeating after me,

I am wide awake,

Feeling great and ready to take on the day.
