Hello I'm Chintzia and welcome to your grounding meditation.
Take a moment now to get nice and comfortable.
That might mean sitting on a chair with your feet flat on the ground,
Palms facing up on your knees.
It might be sitting down cross-legged with your back against a wall or a tree.
It might be laying in the sun on the grass.
Whatever works for you.
It's important that you're comfortable during meditation so the mind has one less thing to wander to.
And when you're nice and comfortable and if it's safe to do so,
Gently close your eyes.
Taking a long slow deep breath in through the nose all the way down to the belly and gently releasing that back up and out through the nose.
And another long slow deep breath in through the nose past the throat,
The chest,
Into the stomach watching it expand like a balloon.
And then gently releasing that back up and out through the belly,
The chest,
The throat and the nose.
Just watching it dissipate into the distance.
And now returning to a comfortable breath for you and feeling your shoulders relaxing.
Softening your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your eyelids,
Wiggling your jaw,
Relaxing the tongue,
The throat,
The arms,
The hand,
The upper chest,
The stomach,
The shoulder blades,
Lower back,
Buttocks,
Hamstrings and quads,
Knees,
Front and back,
Shins and calves,
Ankles,
Heels and toes.
Feeling your feet connecting to the ground below you now.
And as you breathe in,
Can you see the breath coming in through the top of your head?
And as you breathe out,
See it going all the way down into the ground below you.
Slowing your breathing down even more now.
When we find that life can get stressful,
Especially at work,
It's important that we find the time to counterbalance that by grounding.
We are electrical beings and the heart is the biggest electromagnet that we have.
So it's really important that we connect to the frequency of the earth by grounding because the earth is electrical too.
Walt Whitman says,
Now I see the secret of making the best person.
It is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth.
So I invite you now to visualize some part of nature where you feel grounded and allow the feelings of peace and contentment to rise in your body now.
What does this outdoor space look like to you?
What can you see?
Where is the sky?
Where is the earth?
When you smell,
When you smell,
You smell the flowers.
And finally,
Can you tune into the sounds in this space?
You hear,
You hear the rustling of the leaves in the trees or the ocean waves crashing.
Maybe it's animals around you.
You tune into what you can hear when you're in that space now.
And now in that space that you found your grounded space,
I invite you to see yourself connecting to the earth.
So whether you're walking,
Whether you're seated,
Just notice now your connection to the earth.
Now drop your awareness from your head down to your heart space.
If it's comfortable to do so,
You can gently touch the area where your heart resides and see the breath coming in and out of your heart space now.
And as you slow your breathing down even more,
Start to see a gate in the center of the heart space.
You're noticing the golden ball of light starting to expand,
Expanding through the whole area of your chest,
Then out past your body into the space that you're sitting in right now.
You to silently start repeating.
And if you notice that your mind wanders to thoughts,
Sounds or physical sensations,
It's totally just gently bring your awareness back to the mantra.
I am grounded.
You can start to let go of the mantra now and bring your awareness back to the space you're in.
Take a long deep breath in through your nose all the way down to the base of your spine and gently let that go.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes,
Put a smile on your face and give yourself a pat on the back for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit and ground today in the stillness and silence that rests within you.
Knowing that the ripple effect of this time throughout your life and your work is profound.
And when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me and have a wonderful day.
