Hi,
This is Cindy Wolquist.
Thanks for joining me for the Tranquility Meditation.
We tend to live in a very busy world without recognizing our capacity to allow ourselves to slow down,
To pause and settle and become tranquil.
This is one of the most important reasons mindfulness meditation is vital to our well-being.
Meditation offers us the tools to pause and become deeply silent.
By practicing meditation,
We can bring this calm state of being into our daily life of doing.
I have noticed that many people are caught up in their likes and dislikes.
When we live this way,
We are mostly disappointed that things don't turn out our way.
In meditation,
We take the time to pause and notice our likes and dislikes.
How often are you engaged in an activity but your mind is focused on something else?
This causes us to miss so very much.
So I invite you now to find a comfortable place to be,
Fully supporting yourself.
Closing your eyes and settling in.
Intentionally invite in the sense of tranquility as you allow yourself to be in this moment of your life and let go of the urge to control everything.
Invite a sense of wonder and awareness.
Breathe in deeply.
Breathe out slowly.
Sense the fullness of breath as it moves through your body.
Softening with each breath.
Inviting presence of being.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
Sensing a bit more with each breath.
Invite in the sense of contentment with this one moment and this next moment as it offers you an opportunity to transform your life.
Really allowing life to be here in this way as it presents itself,
Knowing that life is moving and playing through you just as you need it to.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Softening and opening to the sensation of tranquility.
Right here.
Right now.
Allowing the waves of tranquility to flow through you.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Opening to the possibilities of softening a bit more,
Letting go and letting be a bit more as your breath flows in and as the breath flows out.
Softening naturally,
Body opening to receive this breath,
This life.
Softening the body.
Softening the mind.
Just being.
Sensing the body as a whole.
Breathing.
Relaxing.
Softening with each breath.
Imagining the waves of tranquility washing through you,
Taking with it any stress,
Tension,
Worry.
Sensing the sensation of the body breathing.
Letting go of preferences and just being present with this moment as it arises without judgment.
And awareness as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
Softening.
Waves of being.
When you are ready,
Opening your eyes and know that as you practice meditation on a regular basis,
You will find the calm in the midst of the storm becomes almost natural.
Our senses can respond and help us to navigate challenging situations.
May you enjoy the tranquil moment.
