Making Peace With Yourself

This is a talk and meditation on finding that place of peace inside and going there to make peace wth all of yourself. WE all have a place when our buttons get pushed and we have a strong center to reflect on life from we do not need to react from our ego.

Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and today I'd like to talk about making peace with yourself.

I've started a new group called the Peace Projects where I do Zoom interviews every week and I did this after I received a UNESCO Peace Award.

It was so powerful being on this amazing UNESCO UN event where everyone around the country and the world gathered together and I was able to see how many people are working for peace and I also was able to see how many ways we need to live with peace within ourselves to share that peace with others in the world because Buddha said,

Peace begins within.

It does.

Peace begins within.

It doesn't start outside ourselves.

It starts inside.

And I have been seeing lately in the last six months a lot of people getting very frustrated with how hard it is to get things accomplished and done or trying to deal with their life with the restrictions in place or having to deal with a loved one who's ill or that they can't see or be with.

And this year,

2020 has been full of many situations where we've had to deal with conflict and division in the world and come back to that place of peace within ourselves because peace does begin within.

And there'll be times where we are very centered and our soul and the light is pouring through.

Perhaps it's in meditation and you're feeling that energy of the world meditating with you or you're feeling so in tune with your soul.

But then carrying it out and carrying that amazing soul,

Light,

And love out to the world can be rather challenging sometimes when the world is on a different space and place than you are when you are in meditation.

But this has been talked about by many in Buddha as the middle path,

Being able to carry through and walk in that place of peace and be in that place of peace in spite of the yo-yo effects of what's going on in the world and maybe what's going on in ourselves.

I think maybe we all have some buttons that have been shown to us that are getting pushed because of what's been going on in the world.

And we have to be able to bless those situations because it's letting us know where we need to do our work,

Where our ego and where our situation is that gets upset,

And how we can calm that place and bring it peace and come to a kind of understanding of that inner child or that ego or that part of ourself that isn't liking what's going on maybe.

We all have that.

So let's just take a moment and I'd like you to ask yourself honestly,

Talk to yourself,

Your inner self,

And ask yourself what is that button,

What part of you is that part that gets pushed when something doesn't go the way you want it to go?

Or someone says something or someone does something not in alignment with the way you feel it should be.

Try to address what that might be.

Try to think of what part of you might have that inner situation that might be shown to you in life as a lesson to be learned.

And just take a moment and look at it from your soul's point of view.

And just breathe in a little of your soul light and from the place of your soul and the objective observer in your soul,

Look at that.

Now for me,

When I get stressed,

It's very easy to find that something's going on that's stressing me out that I don't like.

I eat.

I'm a stress eater.

And it's like this child within me just wants to make everything else go away by eating and making myself feel better by eating.

Now I know that's a very easy thing for me to see.

To say and deal with it when you have that is not as easy.

But I also know that this is a lesson that I can learn and I also know that inner part of myself that needs at those times to be comforted.

And if you have a part within yourself,

Do you know how you react and ways and patterns that you react?

Can you think of ways when that button gets pushed and something happens you don't like?

Can you think of how you react?

Well think about that and then think what would it take for you from your most loving place in your soul,

Your most understanding and compassionate place there inside?

How would you calm and make peace with that part of yourself when things happen that upset you?

How would you hug that part of you that needs a hug when things don't necessarily go the way you want them to go?

So let's take that and let's go inside and let's do a little meditation and I'm going to read a poem as well.

This is a poem I wrote called You Are Loved.

When the world brings no solutions all through the darkest night,

When the soul has lost connections to what was once so right,

Call upon your guardian angels,

Call upon those who are there deep inside,

Call upon that soul's light.

It's there that you will find the answers to what you need to know to take you through the doorway and find that peace within your soul.

You are a child of the universe.

Your destiny is clear.

You are blessed more than you may know.

True joy is oh so near.

Call upon the spirit of the holy ones.

If you fall,

They're right there waiting to lead you on the journey that you're on.

So take a breath and stop and open up your heart and they will speak to you.

Listen,

Listen for the words of truth and they will see you through.

You are not alone out there.

You are loved,

So find a way to believe again,

A way to heal the body and the mind.

You are loved by God.

You are a light divine.

You are a child of the universe.

Claim this truth and you will find that love of God is there.

Feel this love and be redeemed and forgive all the frustrations and things that hurt you and forgive yourself and all your mistaken deeds.

Let's take a breath in and go into a state of meditation.

Let's do a few minutes of breathing,

Breathing deeply into the count of four and holding for a few seconds and breathing out to the count of four.

Holding your breath out and breathing in.

Breathe peace out throughout your entire mind,

Your body,

Your emotions.

Just release any tension.

And now with the next breath in,

Do a body scan.

How's your head?

How's your face?

How are your eyes,

Your ears,

Your nose,

Your mouth?

How are they feeling?

Is there any tension there?

Let's do a moment of breathing peace in and releasing any tension right there.

And another breath of light and peace and let that come to your neck.

Is there any tension in your throat chakra and in your neck?

Anything that hasn't been expressed that you need to release right now?

Just send that area light and love.

Breathe it in and release and let go and continue to breathe in.

Go into your heart chakra.

Breathe deeply there and put your hand on your heart and let your heart feel the love that you are.

Let your heart feel your soul's love.

Let your heart feel that love light that comes from the light of God.

Breathe that beautiful light in and let it bring you peace.

Dwell here in a lovely state of peace for a few moments.

Breathing in and allowing yourself to go to your soul.

And feel that beautiful place inside your soul where the objective observer dwells.

That lovely place where you can find the answers you need to come to peace with yourself.

Put yourself in a beautiful golden lit room.

And just know that in this room you are safe,

You are secure,

You are well,

And you are loved.

Let yourself feel this love and the great peace that exists here in this room.

And from this lovely place of peace inside,

Find a way to make a solution from your soul,

A soul-lution to anything that might be a button that gets pushed in your life.

If there is anything you identified that hits you hard when your buttons get pushed from this lovely place inside your soul,

Send that energy to that place wherever it may be that reacts strongly.

And just offer a beautiful,

Beautiful ray of light,

A blessing,

An olive branch.

And allow yourself to speak to that part of yourself that gets upset,

That comes into a spin when things don't go right.

Allow yourself to give that part of yourself deep love and forgiveness and understanding.

And know that you are so loved and it's totally understandable.

Whatever you might get in a spin about,

It's okay.

And know that whenever that occurs,

You can take a few deep breaths of peace,

Breathing in.

Remember this beautiful energy of peace and know that if you come to a place where you wish to react in a way that you find isn't in tune with your true self,

You can send yourself a moment of awareness where you can be in control by allowing God to guide you through any stormy situations.

And allow yourself to turn your ego over to God's will and let God be with you in those times and let the angels guide you through anything that may be difficult.

And feel the peace that comes when you know you are not the one that is in control.

It is God,

Truly,

That is there in the light of love within you,

Giving you the strength to get through everything in your life.

Just breathe in that feeling of release.

Be in that place of peace.

Breathe it in,

Breathe it in,

Breathe it deeper,

And now let go and release it and allow that energy to come through your soul,

Down to your body and through your body and through all of your place within your torso and your emotions and your root chakra,

Sending love to all of you there and on down your body,

Through your legs,

To your calves,

To your feet and out.

And now know you are surrounded by peace.

You have a lovely,

Lovely egg-like white,

Beautiful light around all of you and it's your protection in the world.

And you can put that white light of light around you and out about six feet to keep you insulated in that wonderful light of peace and love.

Breathe it in,

Allow it to completely be a part of your aura,

Your mind,

Your body,

Your emotions,

All of you wholly in tune with that light of love and peace.

Now we're slowly going to come out of meditation and allow yourself to feel good.

Allow yourself to feel in tune with your true self.

Allow yourself to be who you are and totally love,

Feel that love.

You are a precious flower of light and love.

So remember to plant the seeds of peace within you when you meditate.

Remember to carry those seeds deep in your heart and your soul and allow them to be present when you're out doing your activities in life.

And know you can always call upon your soul and your angels and your guides to be there with you.

Find yourself being stressed,

Take a breath or two,

Take a few deep breaths and that works wonders to bring you back to yourself and back to the love and the peace that you truly hold within your soul.
