**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

Transcript

Living in a society means that the mind is conforming to a pattern,

Which is the mental construct of society.

In that mental construct,

The mind keeps seeking in terms of achieving,

Reaching,

Acquiring.

The mind is purely trapped in the measurement.

Measurement implies all kinds of comparisons.

Want to be better,

Want more.

The mind is taking pleasure from comparing,

Also taking pain from comparing.

We compare,

So we compete.

In that track,

The mind keeps becoming,

Achieving,

More and more and more.

Never stop.

Overdose is a part of the social-mental construct,

Which are all in the domain of thoughts.

So,

Living in the society,

If the mind is not alert,

Not fully aware of this,

The mind is inevitably trapped by the thoughts.

Regarding the thoughts as part of life,

Your work,

Your study,

Education,

The way of running a business,

Are all conditioned on the thoughts in this mental construct.

And young people are educated to train to conform to the pattern.

In that conforming,

The mind is also inevitably in conflict.
