Welcome to day three.
We've established our mindset and body.
Today,
We begin building the essential skill of prompting.
English is the new programming language.
Please have your prompt tool,
ChatGPT,
Gemini,
Claude,
Or one of your preference,
Ready to apply what we learned today.
The language we use to communicate is the new core skill.
Today,
We focus on the first of the three C's of prompting.
Clarity.
Clarity starts with a clear internal state.
When rushed,
Our instructions are vague,
And the AI's output will be fuzzy.
Clarity means being specific about two things.
The task.
This is exactly what you need the AI to do for you.
And the persona.
Which is giving the AI a role to play.
For example,
Instead of write an email,
Say you are a calm centered mentor writing a difficult email to a client.
This gives the AI a clear filter.
Let's use a mindful practice to settle our internal state,
Helping us craft a clearer prompt.
We'll practice centered listening.
Gently return to a dignified posture.
Take one long,
Slow exhale to settle your mind.
Now,
Without strain,
Let your awareness expand to the sounds in the room and beyond.
This is centered listening.
Notice how clearly you can distinguish different sounds when your body is centered and your focus is clear.
Inhale the sense of clarity.
And exhale any mental fog.
This clarity of listening mirrors the clarity you bring to your prompt.
Our key takeaway is that a calm body crafts clearer prompts.
For today's gentle invitation,
Take a vague,
Common prompt,
Such as draft an agenda for a team meeting.
Now apply clarity.
Rewrite it by adding a persona and being specific about the task.
For example,
You are an inclusive team facilitator.
Create a 60-minute agenda with discussion points.
Tomorrow,
We'll expand this by adding the second C,
Context.
Thank you for practicing today and see you here tomorrow for day four.
