The meditation is a seated practice designed to foster a sense of acceptance, presence, and letting go, teaching us to notice whatever arises in our field of experience without holding on or following it. In this meditation, we begin by focusing on specific objects of attention, such as the breath, body, thoughts, and sounds, then let go of a specific focus, opening our awareness to the flow of whatever shows up next. Appropriate for MBSR practice.
