Welcome to the Chinese Medicine 6 Healing Sounds and Vibrations for Harmonizing and Detoxing Emotions.
I'm Christina M.
Martin.
The 6 healing sounds and vibrations are a brilliant contribution from Chinese medicine.
Each organ in Chinese medicine rule a set of uncomfortable emotions.
When that organ is out of balance,
The emotion will be present in an excessive way,
And vice versa.
When a particular emotion is excessive,
It can impact the organ,
Creating physical signs and symptoms as well.
Let's take an example of the liver.
The liver in Chinese medicine rule anger,
Frustration,
And depression.
If those emotions are excessive,
It impacts the liver,
And one might have physical signs and symptoms associated with the liver arise,
Like migraine headaches,
Trouble sleeping between 1 and 3 a.
M.
,
Or women may have difficult menstruation,
To name a few.
So each sound is connected to an organ in the body.
The sound or vibration has the ability to purge the emotion while making space for the virtue.
Researchers have also found these sounds are especially helpful in dealing with inflammation.
In different hospitals around the world,
Scientists have done studies showing that inflammatory markers decrease after patients have been practicing the 6 sounds on a daily basis.
The best time to do this is at the end of your day or before bed.
Think of it like a way to detox the day.
Let's begin.
Get comfortable.
You can do this sitting on the floor,
In a chair or standing with your body relaxed,
Knees slightly bent and feet facing forward at shoulder width apart.
Now,
As we go through each sound or vibration,
I want you to put your awareness in the area of the organ.
On the inhale,
Imagine the color associated with it.
When we exhale,
Do so from the organ,
As if the sound or vibration is coming from there.
That will purge and release the emotion from that specific organ.
Put your attention in the area of your lungs.
The color is white.
The emotions are sadness and grief.
The virtue is courage.
The sound is an S,
Like a snake.
Let's give it a try.
Now put your attention in the center of your chest with the heart.
The heart is the emperor of all emotions.
Its color is red.
The emotion is impatience and hatred.
The virtue is love.
The sound is ha,
H-A,
Ha.
Let's give it a try.
Now move your attention to the spleen.
The spleen is just to the left of the stomach under the ribcage.
The color is yellow.
The emotions are worry and pensiveness.
The virtue is trust and sincerity.
The sound associated with the spleen is hoo,
Like W-H-O.
And this is more of a guttural sound.
Let's try it.
Now put your attention in the liver area,
Which is on the right side,
Just under the ribcage.
The color is green.
The emotions are anger,
Frustration,
And depression.
And the virtue is kindness.
The liver's sound is like a shh.
Let's try it.
Now head over to the kidneys,
Which are in the low back at the base of the spine.
There are two,
One on each side.
The color is dark blue or black.
And the emotions are fear and shock.
The virtue is peace.
The kidney's sound is like a cho,
Like C-H-W-O-O-O.
It sounds like rushing water.
Let's try it.
Now for your sixth sound.
This is an organ system in Chinese medicine that does not exist in Western medicine.
And it's called the Sanjiao,
Translated as triple warmer or triple burner.
It's located in three energy centers of the body,
In the middle of the chest,
About three inches above the navel or belly button,
And about three inches below the navel or belly button.
The color is purple.
The emotion is panic.
And the virtue is balance.
The healing sound is like a he,
He.
Let's try it.
He.
He.
He.
A way to close the practice is to put your hands on your heart,
Since it is the emperor of all emotions.
Visualizing the color red,
Take a nice,
Deep,
Gentle breath and exhale gratitude.
I hope you enjoyed this practice.
Until next time,
The very center of your heart is where life begins,
The most beautiful place on earth.
Rumi.
