Welcome to your Ignite Your Inner Glow Meditation with Christiane,
Your Next Chapter Coach.
I invite you to close the door wherever you are.
Find a comfortable place to sit and light your lantern or perhaps candle.
Let its glow be a gentle invitation to coax out your own inner light.
Let's begin.
Start by allowing your body to settle into the present moment.
Notice the weight of your body on the chair as you sink in,
Making contact with the back,
The arms,
The seat,
The things we take for granted,
The things we typically don't notice.
Now wiggle your feet on the floor.
Lift your toes and the pads of your feet and drop them again,
Feeling the soles connect with the surface beneath you.
Is it your cozy socks or the material of your shoes?
Perhaps it's the floor in your home.
Now bring awareness to your posture.
Are there any tight or crinkly spots of tension?
Send a soft exhale there and invite them to soften,
Release,
And melt.
Now bring yourself back to your center by aligning your spine.
Notice what your posture was already doing.
Were you hunched?
Were you leaning one way?
And purposely straighten your spine as you stretch taller,
Taller.
With each inhale,
Your spine gets longer and notice your shoulders drop,
Your belly relax.
With each big exhale,
Try that again.
Lengthen your spine and let the external world fade little by little as you settle into the present moment.
Now take a slow,
Full breath in and let the edges of your day soften with the exhale.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest,
The gentle rhythm of your body,
And the quiet warmth of the space around you.
Now we are present and I invite you to gently call to your mind a moment in the past,
Any time in your life when you shone brightly.
Think of a time when you felt radiant or powerful or energized or fully alive,
Whichever one calls you.
It's your definition of shining brightly.
Now I invite you to notice where were you?
What was the room,
The space?
What was the air like around you?
Was it summer or fall?
Did you notice?
What time of day was it?
Is there sunlight or are there shadows?
What else can you notice about that moment?
Who was there celebrating you,
Witnessing you,
Supporting you?
Who wasn't there and how did that shape your experience?
Now I invite you to step into the moment itself.
Feel what your posture was doing in the lead up.
How was your heart beating?
Was there any tension or anticipation?
Were there nerves or were you fully calm and grounded and ready to shine?
I invite you to notice anything that comes to mind and if you don't remember,
That's fine too.
Just notice what you can.
Notice your breath.
Notice your muscles and your skin and how you're reacting now with the memory.
How does your body shift as you move toward this shining moment in your life?
Now pay attention to that peak moment.
The one that just made you feel like you were on top of the world.
Where did your glow live in your body?
Was it a warm chest and loving feeling?
Was it a radiating face with a huge smile that wouldn't stop?
Was there an electric pulse in your hands or the rest of your body?
Can you feel the energy,
The warmth,
The brightness radiating from the inside out?
Now let's shift the focus to what came after.
That lingering afterglow.
It's like a subtle hum.
That sense of ease when you drop in and go,
That was awesome.
Or perhaps the quiet confidence that stayed with you afterwards as you got accolades,
As you were proud of yourself for however you showed up.
Feel that afterglow.
Now take a slow breath in and let yourself linger in that feeling.
The more sensory awareness you can bring to this moment,
The easier it will be to come back to it when you need it.
With that,
I invite you to imagine how could bring this glow forward into your life again and again and again.
I invite you to turn this memory into a simple ritual that allows you to tap into your inner light whenever you need it.
Perhaps it's when you're feeling low or you have something scary on the horizon.
Let's turn this into a reputable,
Repeatable practice.
Place your hand on your heart,
Grounding into the warmth and the energy that you just conjured.
Breathe deeply.
Feel your glow radiate outward from your chest.
Feel it pulsing through your limbs,
Out your fingertips and your toes,
Spilling gently into the space around you.
It's almost like a dimmer switch that you get to turn higher and higher by conscious choice.
Notice it expand like a soft,
Luminous orb.
Your body is warming.
So is the space around you.
It's getting brighter and brighter as you illuminate your path,
Inviting yourself to be fully seen.
Next,
Imagine that your light is not just for you.
It is not a selfish act.
It is a gift for the world.
As your lantern shines,
It casts a gentle glow for others too,
Inviting them to also shine their light.
Imagine a line of candles lighting one and another like a long domino effect and your glow can ripple outwards.
A quiet cascading effect on the world around you,
Inspiring somebody else's light.
It feels pretty amazing,
Doesn't it?
To be at the center of so much light.
Now,
I invite you to notice your other senses.
Some might be stronger than others.
That's just fine.
Perhaps it's a smell,
An essential oil,
A favorite candle,
A favorite cup of tea.
Perhaps it's a touch,
Your hand on your cheeks to remind yourself you are here.
A hand on your heart or your center.
Or maybe even you trace your hands together,
Rubbing them gently,
Creating their own warmth.
You get to choose some sort of tactile cue that helps cue your body to tap into this feeling again.
Feel the sensation fully and alively in your body.
Let this be the anchor that helps you glow from the inside out.
Now that you have your ritual envisioned,
It takes practice.
I invite you to practice this daily or perhaps just when you need it most.
Maybe there's a big pitch on your horizon,
A job interview,
A first date,
Or a really important conversation.
Any moment that requires you to fully show up.
Each time you reconnect to this radiant version of you,
The one who knows their light and carries it with ease,
You will glow into the world around you.
Take a deep breath in again.
As you exhale,
See your glow reflected in your lantern.
It is your light,
Your warmth,
Your brilliance.
Turn it on.
Tap into that version of yourself and step into the world fully glowing because the world needs your light.
Bright,
Steady,
And unapologetically you.
Before you leave this space,
Remember,
Take time for yourself.
Connect to your body,
Your breath,
Your senses.
They will guide you always.
These small intentional moments are the sparks that keep your inner glow alive.
Thank you for listening.
Spread your glow all around you.
Take care.
